As I compare this slate to last years 2 championship game slate something that sticks out to me is last year it seemed automatic that jared cook was the chalk te play while the rest were all dart throws that none panned out. Also it seemed obvious that julio was a must play as atlanta offense was on fire at the time. Last year leveon bell got hurt early on making deangelo williams at basically 1 or 2 percent ownership a gpp winner I just can not figure out this slate at all. There is like 8 rb that if you told me this is going to be the highest scoring rb on the slate i could say yep I can see that. At WR I am certain one of the 2 main minn wr will be on the gpp winner as will a ne wr. I will do a full fade of mack hollins but if you told me any of the 3 philly wr will be in a gpp winner I will be like yep I can see that. And then finally the jags wr I think only 2 are really in play and that is westbrook and cole. Also I am trying to force myself to make some blake bortles lineups because he is a garbage time hofer. He is like the tom brady of garbage time fantasy points. Even against san fran this year he was fn god awful for 3 quarters before he lit it up in the 4th quarter. Then there was a game against the titans in 2016 on thursday night football where he was god awful and by the end of the game he had more fantasy points than mariota even though mariota was clearly the best qb on the field that night. (Yes I know fantasy and reality are totally different but my point is 2 or 3 garbage time drives can take you from being the 4th qb on the slate to the 1st just in garbage time alone. I think we know a pats rb will be on the winning slate. I also wonder if this is a 3 rb week to win the gpp or a 2 te week or a 4 wr week. Last year on this week I made 150 lineups and not one had tevin coleman and deangelo at rb. Never did I even fathom deangelo being in the equation. Well I guess I have rambled enough for now.

It did for three quarters, but in the 4th qtr Foles looked like he had found his groove, and was throwing some nice balls. I would say the Eagles are extremely fortunate that Wentz went down when he did, which gave Foles three meaningless games to get ready for the divisional round of the playoffs against a dome team that had never won on the road in the divisional round in its history. Foles has had time to get ready and and I see some PPR points this weekend to Agholor or Ertz, maybe Clement (fading Jeffrey, who is not comparable to Michael Thomas, nor is Foles to Brees), and he might give his team a chance to get to Minnesota for a beat down.

Bingo! It’s comical how the national press is completely overlooking the Eagles. They are not a one trick pony.

Screw the press. Win your home game and shut everyone up. See u in minny. SB rematch. No MCNUBB puking in the huddle this time. Ok?

Before reading the thread here’s my thoughts.

    1. Brady could be on his back and lot this week. So I will have a decent amount of Jax D
    2. For the same reason above I’m thinking a lot of dumpoffs to the NE rb’s and short passes to Gronk/Amendola/Hogan. I also could see one of those little flip passes inside the 5 for a TD.
    3. Jax running D is bad. NE running game will explode as Jax defense can not load the box against Bradys throwing game.
    4. If Jax gets the ball first we very well COULD see a solid game from Fournette.
    5. On the other hand NE defense very well could be the play.
    6. I will not touch Bortles or Foles. It’s either Brady or Keenum.
    7. I’m having a tough time convincing myself to play any Eagles other than Elliot at kicker.
    8. Minny I think everyone is playable other than Murray but I don’t love anybody specific

    Thoughts are appreciated

Wouldn’t be surprised at stefon diggs being chalky after last week’s game.

Of course he will be. His catch being all over the news will ensure this.

I’m stumped as to what to do with Fournette. The volume is there…Gut tells me not to use him b/c they could be playing catch up. But this very well could go the other way.

SO, play a couple LUs w/him and a couple fading him.

If people don’t know who Diggs is after last weekend they’re living under a rock. That catch may boost his ownership 5%.

I find it hard not to once again stack the Patriots as much as possible in this one.

Got a second question think I figured out one my problem enter 30 lineups in 2 dollar contest , but think I am changing to many players every lineup instead of only maybe changing 1 or 2 , is this true.

Foles is a statue in the pocket, looked pretty bad vs ATL and will get sacked around 5 times. Likely turn it over a couple of times.

I don’t see a path to victory for them, and would be surprised if they scored a TD outside of garbage time.

NE line dropped a little in response to the signals the Patriots are putting out.

They said Brady collided with a teammate yesterday and injured his hand. He showed up today wearing a glove.

Obviously since it’s the Patriots, they could be playing it up.

Handgate? Glovegate? Bumpgate? What one you got?

I dont see the VIKES winning this game ..The Philly bunch matches up well and I like their D better in this one

  • PatrickBateman

Whats your guys thought on Brady handgate? Boston sports media is freaking out about it. Apparently he was wearing some sort of splint today. Has anyone seen pictures?

I think the Eagles had a tougher matchup with Atlanta than they do with the Vikings. Big physical receivers can expose their smallish inexperienced corners. Thielen and Diggs don’t bring that same physicality. Short crossing patterns will be how the Vikings have success against this defense and therefore I will be playing Thielen in my LUs. If Philly can score 17, they win this game. Will probably have Ertz and Philly D in some LU’s also.
