My bold call of the day. Falcons beat the Rams. Game goes over 60 points.

The betting on that game has been the pro’s Vs the Joe’s. The pro’s (sharps) taking the under, the Joe’s (public) taking the over. Taking a rookie to light it up in his first playoff game has been a very poor bet over the years. Betting on M. Ryan to light it up this year vs a good D has also been a very poor bet. I’m a firm believer that the ATL D comes out hitting and playing hard this game. I got 23-20 somebody.

I’ll take the under as well. 23-17 Rams, they cover on both ends.

Disclaimer up front: I am an Atlanta Falcons fan.

I do like your bold call though. History says that young quarterbacks and teams with little to no playoff experience don’t fare well.

Veteran QB’s with playoff experience don’t fare well sometimes………………………28-3

    sorry

makes my stomach turn to fade gurley but i think i gotta today. figure he’s at least, what, 30 – 40% owned in GPP today?

  • GTRandy27

No love for tevin coleman? I think he’s too cheap…Also I know arrowhead, but the chiefs defense isn’t that great. I personally love mariota despite his mediocre year

I started way too many lineups with mariota matthews but I can’t get off it.

  • TeamTwerk

Is Hooper a viable GPP play?

GL everyone! hoping someone here hits top 10

  • Alphamed

    Newton or Alex Smith?

  • kdsdawg

so, what is the winning score gonna look like..gotta figure it will be lower than normal.
less than 200 on DK for the big $20 contest?

  • HoodsFromTheWood

Input like this is why I read the thread. I would think that paying up or down to be contrarian sometimes works, but in the grand scheme of it all total points decide the winner, how many times do the Bersins or DeMarcus Robinson of a slate ever really take down a slate

I think many people are making a big mistake when trying to be contrarian to try and come up with a unique lineup because they want to be the only ones with that unique roster thinking that’s the only way to make it to the top of the leaderboard.

In the two five-figure scores I’ve had in NFL the past two years, that’s not how I constructed my lineups.

After my large scores, I stupidly tried to get cute and contrarian each subsequent week and it burned my ass. Every time.

I’ve learned to stick to matchups. Stick to the process. In the long run, it can sometimes pay off huge.

Like in all gambling, there is variance. Top pros have their system that they stick to, and in the long run, they continue to make money.

    That’s my $.02 anyway.

I posted a reply but didn’t “quote” sry
