There’s nothing more important than the process in DFS. RG should be trying to help improve the process for players. By making this thread every Monday you’re promoting making decisions based on information that is erroneous and not complete. There’s no reason to be looking at the slate until 24 hours before maximum…other than boredom of course. Players can get better by using some of these strategies. In my opinion, making this thread is a disservice to players.

Thanks for looking out for us. Perhaps, instead of berating us for improper process, you could enlighten us with your process thereby helping to improve ours. This way we can pay less attention to the slate and become better players . Your last 10 posts have been negatively correlated to this subject. How about some positive ones that contribute to the forum. Maybe a weekly process blog?

DK has a help forum thread on here. I’ll go ask them for a 6-game slate. I don’t know if we can overcome their algorithms (which are what they use to figure out how t maximize their contest entry fee totals.) But it can’t hurt to share our opinions.

The email reply I got from the player rep was a flat-out lie that “Unfortunately, the feedback we receive from users regarding two-day slates is most often negative.”

I didn’t expect them to come right out with the truth that this is how they maximize their rake, but it’s funny that they think I’ll believe they’re doing this out of consideration for their users.

Plus, since when have they not had Thursday – Monday slates during the regular season? It doesn’t add up!

The funny part about those replies are they’re basing it off of users who have replied to their surveys – that they only send to select users, and are only returned by an even smaller percentage of those users. I’m sure someone did tell them that, not that they asked the other 100k of us or whatever number of people there are playing there.

I’m not saying FD is better at all but I get surveys from them asking for feedback what seems like at least once a month, can’t remember the last time I got any kind of survey or request for feedback from DK.

Oh, it adds up. In a couple days they’ll throw out a weak slate for all six games, but it’s just a fact that they’ll churn more rake by having the big slates for each individual day and getting money back into accounts Sat. night. And they are masters of deceptive replies. “Feedback is most often negative.” No shit. They get a handful of complaints when they have two-day slates, but obviously nobody’s bothering to send them an email thanking them for those slates.

I’m seriously bummed out by this. I’m one of the few who’s always been baffled by how many people declare Thanksgiving the best slate of the year. Just don’t get the appeal of three-game slates.

  • Money0227

I’m cool with two 3-game slates and I definitely don’t blame them for doing it.

It’s like Groundhog Day every Monday Morning. Making a post for games a week away and speculation on those games based on faulty information that will change everything by the time the games kick off. It’s really incredible.

    Thanks for your thoughts

the whole idea of this forum is to talk thru scenarios and discuss current news. as soon as some newsworthy thing breaks someone posts it on here in a matter of seconds. it’s not about building lineups, it’s about sharing information, helping others, talking some trash, challenging others to H2Hs. I enjoy coming on here with all of you if it’s a Monday or Saturday or everyday. I think Landa is jealous of the bond we have…

    I love u all!!!!

“Landa” is simply a troll (which you get quite often on a public message board such as this).

I think the number its less about the number of games and probably the fact that they are all on at different times and you can actually watch them all. I like those 3 game Saturdays for the same reason. Plus its a football holiday and a real holiday.

I also think smaller slates are better for the little guys too aren’t they? Sure the big players still have more entries but they are now just picking less and less obvious guys from the same games instead of getting entirely different games that either aren’t obvious or they get lucky on shooting out.

In other business, DK has posted 6—game Sat.-Sunday contests.

I think FD was going to anyway. Notice how it isn’t a “main” This is how it was at least last year too, the other 2 days were “mains” and they came out first

Might just play a bunch on the Saturday Taysom Hill-less slate. Maybe the Bears can do us a favor and wipe the Saints off the divisional slate

Regular season tendencies. Injury/covid news. General gameplay thoughts considering we know who these teams are.

A couple of regulars will hit nice wins in the next four weeks. Hope I’m one of them. We’ll wonder how many weeks Clever makes it in 2021. We’ll wonder why we played Trubisky.

This is typical late season forum talk. Squid won’t let Mike’s memory die.

Basketball guys will pretend they know NFL. Just the annual Monday in the Wild Card discussion.

I have to say I’m shocked and completely satisfied by the size of the six-game slate they put up.

    lots of smart people here….

If you cant handicap and pick your targets in a very small time this week. You should rethink playing DFS. Ive been playing for 17 weeks and just looking at the games this weekend, I could be locked and loaded in 20 min. If I am going to do MME, I would need more time. In NFL, I shy away from MME because I rather spend up in contest fee’s and stay single entry. I will wait until Sat night for injuries and covid lists to make my LU’s. I come here on Monday to see the “experts”. Today squid should make the RG forum HOF if he hasnt been nominated already..

  • BIF

As much as I thought it was pretty crappy (from a league integrity perspective) what the Eagles did and didn’t do last night, I have really enjoyed reading all the tweets from stunned NYG players (and supportive replies from butt-hurt Giants fans) as the game was unfolding with Hurts getting pulled and after the game.

The point those players seem to have forgotten was that they were 6-10 yah SIX and friggin’ TEN ! They had zero business being in the playoffs and certainly didn’t deserve to host a playoff game. The Dolphins went 10-6 and are also watching the playoffs.

Well said Tim, I agree with your NFL process for this weekend. And thanks for the nomination.
