If salary wasn’t a factor, who’s your lock QB and WRs? I keep falling on AJ Brown, but not fully confident

There’s nothing more important than the process in DFS. RG should be trying to help improve the process for players. By making this thread every Monday you’re promoting making decisions based on information that is erroneous and not complete. There’s no reason to be looking at the slate until 24 hours before maximum…other than boredom of course. Players can get better by using some of these strategies. In my opinion, making this thread is a disservice to players.

I will make this simple for you Lando: your opinion on this trivial matter holds no weight here.

    Zero.

You seem to believe in a DFS process and that’s wonderful for you, but it means nothing to anyone else on this board. This is an n= 1 type of activity and your individual experience is entirely anecdotal, so please do yourself a favour and read the room homeslice.

Are more people playing the 6 game slate or the split 2 gamer . I guess we will have to reference which one we are playing when discussing plays

Did FD ever make a full slate or just DK??

  • MattyK1981

2 × 3-game slate here I like the smaller player pool combined with SE/3-max tourneys

Yes, FD made a full slate…and then it crashed. HAHA! No, it hasn’t crashed yet.

FD is running Sat (3game), Sun (3game) Sat/Sun (6game) and the 6 individual Single Game contests.

Per usual, I’ll be playing a SE on every slate/game. FD player only.

Looking at my Initial temp lineups I seem to be liking TB (Godwin+Brown – maybe TB) – Buffalo (Allen+Diggs – maybe Singletary or Brown) – SEA DST and Lockett>Metcalf

I’m not liking the Saints but we’re going to have to wait on Covid info before that game can even be looked at – initially I like Cook the most there.

At first glance the top 5 TEs (Andrews/Thomas/Gronk/Cook/Hooper) all have roads to success but I don’t love any of them. I might end up dropping down to Dawson Knox and hope for a TD there to pay up for other players. LU construction is going to be tight, more so on the Sunday slate than Saturday (from what I see) and definitely on the 2-day slate.

CLE@PIT is going to be tough to figure out and I want to see the weather (weather doesn’t matter!) reports later this week. Seems like this could be a trench-driven low-scoring slugfest OR a shootout but I’m leaning towards the Under at the moment.

I don’t really like IND (except maybe Hines) – I think Rivers is going to struggle a lot against a strong Buffalo D that hasn’t been getting as much respect as they probably deserve.

BAL@TEN is a tough one for me also. Too many viable RBs for the Ravens and Henry is pretty tough to squeeze in this weekend despite firmly believing he IS “matchup-proof”. I don’t have pieces from this game and I’ll probably regret it later.

IT’S WAY EARLY. I haven’t done any individual defensive matchups analysis yet so yeah this is just idle thinking out loud shit atm.

But hey, this forum is for tiny ass people like me and you to do that so here we are. :P

I play all 3. Not with the same people. Instead of multiple LU’s in 1 contest, I try to differentiate the players in different contests including showdowns.

I’m definitely playing the Sat-Sun slate and probably both Sat and Sunday only 1 single entry on FD for each day.

I like Antonio Brown and Dionrae Johnson at receiver the most.

QB probably gonna go with some Allen, Lamar, and Big Ben.

RB is hard to fit Henry but even harder to completely fade him.

Henry, Dobbins, Chubb, McKissic for a cheap one.

Lots of good D choices but I like the Saints.

Kind of struggling with this one. Will the Ravens shut the Titans down or this gonna turn into some 50-40 shootout.

Is it too early in the week to talk about Tomlin’s creation of Taysom 2.0, Josh Dobbs?
Per Rotoworld; Tomlin said it was a “possibility” Dobbs could see some snaps going forward. Pittsburgh coaches are intrigued by what Dobbs can bring to the team’s offense, which was largely stagnant in the season’s final month. Dobbs might be given a package of plays on short yardage or goal line situations this week against Cleveland. That would be less than great for Ben Roethlisberger DFS upside.

How much does it hurt to be a Browns fan? First playoff appearance since 2002 and they’ll have to do it without their HC(C19). And you have to feel bad for their LG Bitonio, 3 time pro bowler and 7 years of suffering in a Browns uniform who also had a + Rona test and will miss the game.

Per Rotoworld; Washington head coach Ron Rivera said he could rotate Alex Smith and Taylor Heinicke against the Bucs on Sunday. If by some epiphany Rivera realizes he needs a QB with 2 good legs to avoid the ferocious Buc pass rush, Heinicke and his 4.1 DK price tag becomes interesting vs what might be a bit of a pass funnel TB defense.

They played in Baltimore week 11, Titans won 30-24. O/U is 54ish right now. Most of the season Tenn seemed to be able to score when they had to. And with their D I this week they’ll have to. I like a similar outcome in this game

Slightly different teams but they also played in the playoffs last year – I believe the Ravens were favored by 9 w/ an O/U of 47.5 and the Titans ended up winning 28-12 despite Lamar giving it all he had (365 passing, 143 rushing). FWIW Henry had 195 yards and 1 TD, passing haha

Yeah, Ravens had like 530 yds of total offense but missed a couple 4th down attempts and I think a turnover or 2. Henry had like 200 of the Titan 300 yds for the game. HA! I see this one being a high scoring affair.

  • TopDawgs07

The RB matchups look rough at first glance, specifically up top. Henry is always in play but is very expensive. Kamara we’re waiting on C-19 news. I could see Taylor getting phased out slightly if the Colts are playing catchup. Montgomery and Chubb with tough matchups against outstanding defenses. I get to JK at $6,600 before I see one that I feel really warm and fuzzy about. Just below him at $5900 is Carson and at $5700 is Gibson, both facing stout defenses.

Yea Tannehill had like 88 yards passing and 2 TDs with another rushing I think.
It’s absolutely insane that a QB can account for 500+ yards and still have his team score 12.

to avoid the ferocious Buc pass rush

Ferocious might be a stretch especially since Bucs are without LB Devin White for sure. Shaq Barrett should be back as long as he doesn’t test positive in the next day – he shouldn’t as he was only a contact and it has been 5 days since White popped positive.

Granted, Lamar had a great DFS game in last years playoffs vs Tenn but in a football context, he had to throw the ball 59 times to get that 365, he only completed 52% of those 59 attempts and his 2 picks and 1 lost fumble cost the Ravens dearly with the Titans getting 2 TDs off his turnovers. I believe he has also regressed as a passer compared to 2019 Lamar. Conversely I think Tannehill has continued to improve as a QB. That’s why, for the 2nd year in a row I think the Titans beat the oddsmakers and the Ravens

I think McClendon has helped ease the loss of Vea a bit since coming over from the Jets. Might he be back this week?

He’s right though, the Rams are still to name their starting QB and I can’t begin thinking about line ups without knowing which one of them I’m going to be fading.

He should be in same situation as Shaq where he’ll be back as long as he doesn’t test positive this week.

Both Vea and McLendon were/are key pieces to the Run Defense but rarely ever get near a QB. The bulk of the pass rush comes from JPP, Shaq, Devin White (who is out) and occasionally Suh on a coverage sack.

  • Jokey401

Is it true that the way to attack the WFT’s “ferocious D” is with the run game? I think they are middle of the pack. Their pass D on the other hand will keep Brady nervous, and throwing quick check downs. Anyone have thoughts on this? I’m a WFT fan as disclosure.
