I’m cool with two 3-game slates and I definitely don’t blame them for doing it.

It’s like Groundhog Day every Monday Morning. Making a post for games a week away and speculation on those games based on faulty information that will change everything by the time the games kick off. It’s really incredible.

    what’s really incredible is

    that you give a shit

ok let’s talk some football it’s already Wednesday Landa, so Indy plays a ton of Zone coverage. Recently, Allen and Diggs have been feasting on a lot of man to man. Seems Buff and Allen tend to spread the ball around more vs zone. I don’t think we will be seeing the crazy targets and receptions for diggs as in recent weeks. any buff peeps wanna chime in?

Not a Buff person but do live in Colts country. I don’t have the “report” on them but I was going to be lighter on Diggs. Honestly my fav Bill WR might just be Smokey Brown.

Playing the double stack with Allen/Brown/Diggs

Depending on how many lineups one of mine might be that.

I might be a little bit of a “homer” but I feel the Colts are being disrespected a bit. I understand what the Bills have done but that Colts D is no joke. Either way I’m hoping for a good opening game.

right on, Hautalak. I think the Colts lose but it will not be a blowout. I see it as a close game, the difference probably being a late turnover by Indy (likely an interception).

Yeah that’s River MO, rinse and repeat. I will say he looked like what I thought he would be early on but getting TY back, having TEs healthy, and utilizing the run game has done wonders for him. Kind of love and hate the Colts are the first game.

Lol are you sure we’re supposed to? Man or zone, the Bills got where they are on the strength of Allen’s arm and Diggs hands. I don’t think that changes vs Indy. Diggs is the most targeted WR on the slate by far. I don’t think that changes either. Per PFF, “Indianapolis has fallen from its impressive start on defense in 2020. The Colts have allowed the sixth-most fantasy points and third-most passing yards to opposing QBs over the past four weeks. They have also faced by far the highest rate of passing plays (74%), all but ensuring the Bills will continue to throw all over the yard.” Diggs should be good for 9+ tgts. And he’ll find ALL the good spots in Indys zone.

Squid we should have ea game… talk team vs team philosophy….What should work and what could be problems.

Indy is ranked hi in rushing def and medium in passing Def. I dont see where Buf really cares about the run, except for Allen snaking a few TD’s thru the year. Buf Def is good vs the pass but medium vs the run. I dont see Rivers winning the game with his arm. I think Indy’s only chance is controlling the clock and running the ball. They CAN DO IT. Putting the pressure on Buf to make the big play on offense( LOL which they CAN DO). Being an old man and following football all my life… the old adage that NFL post-season is all about defense and game control…Indy +6.5 (even tho I like Buf, love Allen’s future, think they are the better team)

  • HoodsFromTheWood

I have a question. Indy is averaging over 28 pts/game. Yet Vegas has them scoring in the 22-23 range. Is Buf. D that good? The last time they played a good offensive was week 10 vs Arizona and they gave up 32 pts. I’m not counting the Pit game in week 14 because Pit O was B-A-D weeks 12-15. In week 14 Nick Mullins threw for 300+ and 3 TDs vs the Bills. So I’ll ask again, is Buffalo’s D that good?

no disagreement here, though I am Colts/Bears supporter and have been (Bears) for my whole life. That said, I’m ecstatic that they both made the playoffs which was a feat in itself. The Colts are much closer than the Bears in terms of being a force in the playoffs. The Bears need a strict focus on the O & D lines. I’m not convinced that Biscuit is the answer but I’m not sure anyone could be successful until they fix their fundamentals. The Colts need more depth, especially on defense and a “go to” WR like DK, etc.

i’m down with that. i think Allen will have a little more time in the pocket this week. obviously Indy is more content to sit back rather than rush the QB, that may actually cut down on Allen’s rush total. I like Buff to win but it will be close

In my opinion, NO. I think they are middle of the road to a +overall defense. They are good enough certainly to support a strong offense like BUF. BUF’s running game isn’t special with exception of Allen. If a defense can keep him in the pocket and have an effective running game, controlling the clock, BUF can be beaten IMO. As Allen goes, so goes BUF.

  • squidkill

another tidbit to catch my eye this week is probably pretty obvious to most but the Rams are the worst draw Seattle can imagine. Rams defense matches up so well with what seattle wants to do on offense. I like the Rams def and especially an underpriced Akers in this one. No matter who is at QB.

  • squidkill

i’m focusing more on the Saturday games today….

I think Mckissic might be a nice source of salary relief if this game goes i think it might. The routes he runs out of the backfield are more if WR routes than typical rb routes. If Tampa gets up early 14-3 17-3 i think Mckissic will crush his price tag

  • 33BeRad

Buff still gives it up to the slot. Kupp and Crowder had big games against them. So did Gisecki the 1st game when he had FItz throwing. There were also a couple other good games against them like Nuk and AJB but that may not matter where they lined up. Parker had a good game this week but White was out.

Not trying to be a d!@k but put a QB on your wish list for the Colts also.

I was looking at Pascal and Doyle for that same reason. Both on the field the most at their respective positions the last few weeks. And cheap

not a d!@k response at all. I agree. Rivers was a short term stop-gap that I think worked fairly well. I really didn’t expect any more from him than he has delivered.

The BUF passing game will be fine, and we have no run game to speak of anyways so basically it’s stack the pass every week and enjoy the fireworks.

IND is in for a bad day, and a really bad day if they get down early and can’t run the ball the way they want. If the game comes down to BUF D vs Rivers and his below average WR corps it will be a nightmare for IND.

any idea for the game time weather in Buffalo , and yes i know i can find it on the internet, rather ask the locals

Totally agree but he’ll be highly owned on the Sat only slate. You talking cash or GPP?

I know they will, if they limit their mistakes/turnovers I don’t think Indy will be able to stop them. Trust me, I’m not a big fan of Lipton Rivers, but as a whole I can see Indy’s O keeping them in the game vs the Bills D. Which is better for more Allen passing. Though McDermott has shown he’s not against pouring it on an opponent when they’re comfortably ahead also. Buffalo with the win 36-28
