Aaaahhh, the degenerate within us, playing the Showdown in the Pro Bowl. As if watching it wasn’t bad enough. However, there’s money to be made. My take:

I’m avoiding QBs and RBs, as unless the QB throws for multiple TDs and the RB runs for multiple TDs they won’t get you points. You don’t get points for throws or runs and you won’t get many of those from each. TEs, young WRs, and even DST will be where I’m looking. DST you say? It’s a careless game, there are Hail Marys intercepted, fumbles, and a few sacks. Leaning George Kittle for Captain, but I like Tyreke and JuJu too.

Of course I picked the wrong fb

On the real i was gonna sub JuJu for Allen and would’ve been up by 6 in the $5.

    Mike Evans gets a pick
Jalen Ramsey catches a TD pass

    That helps Nobody !

    2 def 4 te $1= $150 1st i will take that lmao i love the pro bowl!

  • superjon

Cashed 14/16 in the $3 on FD

    $48 in
    $114 out

The Hooper TD cost me about a hundred as I was 90% Kittle but still squeezed out a small profit overall plus 6 more Super Bowl Milly tix.

Finished 2nd in an $8 entry NHL All star game GPP Showdown yesterday so yah I’ve been good lately too and I threw in 22 lineups today for NFL – it’s going well but would be a lot better if Evans got a target or two.

    I might start doing nhl.

Went with same structure. Read the rules that TE had to be on the field. Had four squads with different TE as captain. Using same build for next year.

Funny thing about chasing overlay, you still need to pick a top 25-33% lineup to cash and 67-75% of DFSers cannot do that consistently enough for it to pay off.

Stabbing myself in the foot because i opted to go with JuJu over Keenan Allen. Would’ve been 1st with 3 points to spare if i had went with Allen>JuJu. I didn’t even like JuJu and only had him in 1 LU _

Did pretty much the same. Used all 4 TE’s and both D’s in all line up’s and just rotated the TE’s in CPT spot. Worked very well!

Interestingly, the 4 line ups, which all scored over 63 points and were good for top 3 finishes, left between $28,000 and $29,900 of salary on the table.

1k in play on a pro bowl slate? All your accounts should be frozen and you should be locked away for at least 1 month. No human contact.

Not just a pro bowl slate but those were on the “in-game” 2nd Half and 4th Q only contests

Well, my under 56 came through easily, $50 I can now blow on some 50/50 prop bet on the SB. The line opened at 55 but went up to 56 because people were betting the over, they all lost their $$.

How do you even bet on this, there’s no strategy it’s just a popularity contest.. Oh wait ok i’m in!

a brilliant summary of DFS :)

how I feel about a lot of the contests I enter myself

Pro bowl was very good to me…. took 3rd in the $12, cashed several of the big double ups… won a bunch of super bowl tickets

only thing that killed me was that i called it that defenses wouldbe huge in 2nd half and OT but i got scrambled up trying to fill out a bunch of last second rosters and forgot to put one in some of my bigger entries like the $33

also.. my buddy kept telling me to play a lot of hooper and i only put him in maybe 30% of my lineups stupidly.

and i was 100% amari with several lineups with him at captain andd the dude dropped more passes in the 2nd half than he did all season probably… i think i counted 5… but maybe it was only 4

i thought stacking the AFC was pretty obvious strategy which helped me a lot… one simple glance at the NFC QB’s and i wanted no part of that side
