I have never been so lost on slate.
I have no idea in what direction to go.

  • bigwillie20

What’s everyone doing with Keenan Allen today? Keep going back and forth if I need to play him or not.

  • JH822547

I’ll be having a bit of Chris Thompson that’s for sure.

  • Crowhew

When would they make an announcement on Allen? Plug him in and swap him if he’s out?

  • FunkMac

I posted a lot of these thoughts in response to a post in the week 16 thread, so I figured I’d throw em in here too.

Mariota may not need to throw more than 15 times ALL game. The Titans should continue to go run heavy against a terrible rush defense. Henry seems like the most obvious 100% lock of all time. So maybe Lewis is the sneaky option? Or play both? Unless some weird stuff happens (AP 99 yard TD, etc.), I don’t see Mariota having to throw much at all here. Maybe a little Taylor if I have to play a Titans receiver, I like his matchup better than Davis. And if I’m the Redskins my main focus is clearly stopping the run, but the second would be to key in on Davis. The only play I like from the Skins is Crowder. Lockdown slot corner Logan Ryan is done for the season. And yes, maybe a sprinkle of Sprinkle.

I definitely prefer the QBs from the later game. I had been thinking Rivers over LJ, but I’m starting to think the Chargers lean on a fresh Gordon. And with his safety blanket not 100%, I think they’ll run the ball more. And the Ravens run defense has been shaky the last two weeks. Melvin Gordon is a lock for me. And yes, if Allen plays he probably will be too. Just because I don’t think Rivers will have as much success throwing outside. I think playing Mike Williams is chasing. Not a good matchup this week. Although If Keenan is hampered or knocked out, Mike and Tyrell are instantly better plays obviously. I think the big question is Dixon or Edwards? Probable game flow would suggest Dixon. Hmm.

Goood writeup. I have MG3, Edwards, Henry together in 2/4 DK Main slate LUs. I like Tyrell Williams and Crowder. Rivers was dunking to him a lot last game and I think Williams got more looks because Allen left the game. The differentiator will be TE. The diff between 1st and 2nd will be 2 points and it will be because Fisher gets 8 points and Sprinkle gets 6. Seems how it usually goes. Not sure I like Taylor or Davis with the game flow, but shoot the contrarian route could be Johnson/Peterson/Davis and Balt/LA becomes a defensive battle and only the RBs from that game shine.
    We. Will. See.

BTW, AD is 61 from passing Dickerson at 8th in all time rushing yards.

As Mariotta gets 40 yds on the ground and runs one in for a TD.
Him and Lamar Capts. for me today.

  • mambaland

chargers will not want to use gordon a lot IMO…if they can avoid

  • callmetouch

    Peterson> Thompson change my mind

  • ASitar

I’m fading MG3 in 1 of 6 DK Main slates and in 1/4 Showdowns. If he starts (which looks very very likely) and even plays only 3 quarters he’s gonna see 25+ DK points. I gotta hedge though. Tyrell Williams is my “sleeper” and I have Crowder in all 6 Main slates.

    GL today

  • JH822547

Still hard to fade, if you tell me he’s ‘only’ getting 20 points I’m probably still playing him.

Have to try something though, I’m struggling to see Derrick Henry as a ‘sure thing’ so might try Dion instead.

  • Mikmca20

I’m thinking Lamar Jackson has a big game on the ground. I think John Brown gets back on his feet and has 4-5 catches for 50 yards and a touchdown.
The pricing between Rivers and Lamar isn’t that different on draft kings … I would think Lamar has more overall upside with Melvin Gordon stealing a touchdown or 2 from Rivers.
Who to go with at tight end ? Does Hayden Hurst get into the mix again this week after 3 catches last week??

  • jjpk

TE is my sticking point. I doubt the priciest choice (Gates) has a big day with Gordon back to grab all the short passes.

  • mambaland

Gates is the red zone man for sure

Feels like a 1000 way tie for first place and 1001st place kinda slate.

  • jasonresno

Stacking Redskins today. No idea if that’s the chalk path or not, though.

Nah, the way these usually go is top five is sprinkled with guys who play weird 3k WRs nobody else is even talking about that pick up 2TDs and leave 5k on the table then a 950-way tie for what is the perceived optimal lineup.

  • callmetouch

    0 Ravens WR’s 0 Titans WR’s

Bingo. Wonder who today’s off the wall receiver could be? Travis Benjamin? Michael Floyd?
