    Gronk just cleared concussion protocol.

Sweet. At least now he’ll be able to pay six minutes before getting hurt again.

Yeah I just bought the Big Game Bundle and their FD projections in LineupHQ are insanely bad.

    Nate Sudfeld 7.56?
    Foles 5.11?
    Hoyer 6.79?
    Gillislee 7.59?

  • infinite420

man, i just cannot decide between stephon gilmore or malcolm butler on dk.

I think that’s just a fantasy point per game value so that players can utilize them. I’ll find out though.

Some tech issue caused this – we have much better projections (those were indeed fantasy point per game values which is our default tor one offs like this but for the package we did projections). Our Dev team is working on this and it’ll be fixed soon. Thanks for bringing it to our attention!

Edit – this has been fixed now. I’ll be checking on these the next two mornings to make sure no more issues arise.

Have a few general thoughts on FanDuel Super Bowl strategy, this would also ostensibly apply to the offensive portion of much of DK, but not touching the defensive stuff.

    1. FanDuel has recently ran a few one game GPPs for NBA and despite what would generally be a reasonable assumption that there will always a tie for first; more often than not a single user does end up winning. This is why every player in your lineup must serve a purpose in how you expect the game flow to play out, as oftentimes there is a fifty-way tie for third while the first and second place lineups are unique.

    2. Try to stay 500-3,000 below the budget cap, if possible, as many casual users only choose lineups in which every dollar is spent. This sharply reduces your chances of running into an identical lineup.

    3. You do not need an utterly ridiculous player in your lineup to win, the perfect lineup may well be a mix of commonplace players that are structured in a way that utilize the 2x spot uniquely. However, be aware that this 2x player will almost certainly have to be the highest scoring FP player in the game to have a shot at winning, so don’t throwout obvious 2x plays due to their projected ownership. If you think Tom Brady will be the highest scoring FP player on the lineup then roster him in that spot, if you think Nick Foles will be the highest scoring FP player on the lineup then play him for 2x.

    4. It goes without saying, but James White and Danny Amendola are going to be supremely over owned, this does not mean not to play one or both of them but you should remember their past Super Bowl heroics may very well not be replicated.

    5. Given New England’s running and passing game, as well as Philadelphia’s lack of a running game there are several variables one must weigh.

You can’t NOT have a DK LU with both Brady and Foles. They have the two highest ceilings and you are forced to use a couple of “punt” receivers that could actually pay off if they throw up 15+ DK points each.

    GL tomorrow.

BTW, I’m off Jeffrey after the speech he gave and don’t want his ownership.

Actually I think it’s a huge mistake to roster both QB’s.

Ehh if you do more research Philly actually has a really good edge with Jay Ajayi.

I don’t hate it – Ertz should have some success as I expect the Patriots outside defenders to limit Jeffery and Smith.

Why? They have the highest ceiling? Let’s say Brady puts up 26 and Foles 24 DK points? What other player(s) have a good shot at doing that? Dion Lewis maybe? You put Agholor and Hogan in that LU at low ownership and if they both just even have a good (not great game) you’re right their near the top. You just have to make sure your two D punts show up. If you don’t have both Brady and Foles and Agholor and Hogan show up in the winning LU you’ll wish you had.

Because for both QBs to have ceiling type games you’re going to have to have an extreme outlier game where both offenses put up unexplainable numbers. If one team gets a big lead, they’re more likely to go ball control thus limiting their QB production. The only scenario that pays off is if it’s a 31-28 type thriller. If you see that happening, then go pound the over and save yourself the headache of trying to figure out the punt position players you’re going to roster with a two QB lineup. Also, if you look at the winning lineups from the past two weeks for the three biggest prize pool showdown’s

    WR-WR-WR-RB
    QB-WR-WR-RB
    QB-WR-WR-WR

It depends how many teams you’re running. If you’re only doing 1 team then yeah that wouldn’t be my strategy. But if you’re running more..even only 5, it would be smart actually to have them both in one if they both score 20+

Hey Tambo – a couple things.

    1) Make sure you are selecting NFL Single Game from the available options – that’s the correct slate for the Super Bowl games

    2) To be able to use LUHQ for the Super Bowl, you’ll either need to be a Premium Member or have bought the Big Game Bundle (a bargain at $4.99 that includes Kevin Cole’s great analysis and my IDP projections and article).

    Hope that helps!

oh sure – in a 20 max, I’ll probably do 2-3 with both. It’s definitely not optimal and I think it’ll be a surprisingly high owned combination because people don’t understand it.

Last week I had a lucky guess at Philly ML and Jags+points. Santa did indeed arrive. Checked pinny seconds after the games ended two weeks ago and Philly was a -5.5 dog. Right now a -4.5 dog. I have 3 enteries into the fd superbowl 1 million contest won by sats.

So I will take philly 4.5.

The reasons why is because they could win outright. Superbowls are about rating and close games keep the ratings up. NE can’t expect another 0 penalty game unless Vince Mcmann is running the show and the Undertaker appears.

The other reason is Karma. No it’s not Karma. What it is, is someone stepping out so far and thinking they deserve the title sir and/or accepting that as normal.

Without going further my three 2x picks on fd are Foles, Jay and Cooks.

  • Brian7479

My thoughts. In the last 2 games James White had a better game against the team that was tougher against the run and weaker against the pass. So I like him here. I think Hogan will be the highest scoring WR and my call of the week, Patriots are down double digits at some point in the game, most likely in the first half

  • Blee21985

Pure points Rowe and Agholor or Hogan and Chung?
