The Patriots in a Showdown is like trying to walk through an evil funhouse.

  • Hoods From The Wood

Thinking since Pats beat Falcons in LI most fans will be anti-NE. Semi-home field advantage LA?

There’s no fan advantage in any Super Bowl.

The stadium won’t be full of Atlanta residents, with Tickets so hard to come by and divided among teams, it will be a pretty neutral location

Starting some lineups with Brady and Goff. Then it gets tough.

Tiny portion available for fan bases. Ticket brokers an corporate sponsors suck up the rest. The Atlanta residents who will be there are the stadium workers

Do you guys think the Chik-Fil-A in the stadium will make an exception and be open for Super Bowl Sunday?

Small edge to LA but nobody is going to have a hard time hearing snap counts which is all that matters.

As far as situational factors I think the biggest one is the game being played on a fast track/indoors and NE being void of athletes almost everywhere on its roster. That does favor LA. Power run games tend to lose something indoors. NE’s LB’s and S’s should have an even harder time covering Gurley/TE’s in space then they would on grass. CJ gets a downgrade and Gurley gets an upgrade Vs NE on a fast track.

I’ll go in further detail later on but Gurley poses the single best mismatch for LA on O. In a copycat league, I’m guessing McVey has seen what KC’s rb’s have done Vs NE through the air every time they’ve played them and makes Gurley the center of his game plan. His skill set is a nightmare matchup for NE’s LB’s and not an easy thing to scheme against for NE.

Everett is the other LA player I’m curious about. I doubt BB uses a CB on him for the most part and if that’s the case, Everett is in play.

Nope. Religious peeps don’t bend the rules for the super bowl. Core values are core values.

They announced this days ago. Closed.

I agree Mike.A healthy Gurley will make it tough on the Pats. The question I keep asking myself is Gurley 100%.Probably mix him in 50% of lineups and hope hes near full strength.

Why do DBs have to have the loudest mouths?! BRC almost ruined the game for the Rams now he’s talking ish about the GOAT?! TB is petty and will now light him up. Hopefully the Rams can overcome the deficit but just a stupid comment IMO. Just play the game son!

I thought CJ Anderson was the Rams starting RB? 😐🤔

Ya I saw that too, and figured that guy must have some insane confidence in himself because you can bet that Brady will be throwing at him a bunch. I believe he is a slot corner mostly so should mean he is on Edelman most of the game and I don’t see that ending well for him. Feels like one of those 10/115/1 lines for Edelman will be coming up

I’m not sure what game he’s playing or what planet he’s on but not the smartest move at all. That is what I was thinking as well. Good thing I already have lots of Edelman on Yahoo already and will bump him up in the showdown pecking order now.

Maybe it’s to try and take Tom off his game and what will work for them? Who knows but I’ll be honest I certainly like the Rams chances less now. Crazy that something so small can make me think that. I thought the Pats would win anyway but why add fuel to the fire?

Personally, I think Mike is accurate with Gurley. I believe he’s probably not 100% healthy, but does pose a nice matchup vs. NE. BB takes away your best weapon, with LAR, I believe that’s their power run game. He’ll look to force them to throw, which can benefit Gurley. If he’s more focused and involved, Gurley will have a nice game. I also love White vs. the LAR LB’s and Edelman against big mouth. Those are the weapons I’ll have the most exposure to, Gurley, White, and Edelman. Edelman is a no brainer and will be chalk. I do like White and Gurley. Neither will be a surprise to anyone but recency bias can help lower ownership percentages with both.

Been 1200 miles away from The Wood, since Jan. 7 when Momma Hood got sick. Not on the top of my already weak game. Hood Jr lives in Tampa and we’ve been putting money in a jar every week for 2021 SB tickets. Are we wasting our time lol? Hope Mrs Hood doesn’t find out.

Everyone is overblowing the Gurley injury thing. He dropped 2 very costly passses and got benched and it had nothing to do with injury, just focus and nerves.

Gurley will start and play a large majority of the snaps. He served his time, got taught a lesson and the Rams won’t leave the highest paid rb in the NFL who’s signed until 2022 on the bench in this one. He’s also not injured in the least. Whatever tendinitis he had, is gone and isn’t the type of injury that slows you down. It flares up after a large workload and he hasn’t gotten one of those in a long time.

I think he goes for 150 plus in total yards and 1-2 TD’s.

Rams D for all the monies, Brady finally gets exposed.

Finally, I’ve been waiting on him to get exposed. Only took 9 Super Bowl appearances to do it. 🙄

This Rams defense is undisciplined, boom or bust. They might make a few big plays, but they’re also prone to being out of position and giving up big plays. You do that to Brady or BB, you’ll pay a hefty price.

I disagree on tendinitis – suffered through it the last few years in my wrist; two years ago it flared up so bad, I ended up taking 4 weeks off from golf and it finally started to feel better and then I one-finger drove my SUV around a traffic circle and the change of direction when I exited made me scream out loud. The smallest movement in the wrong direction or a little flex on a tendon and it flares up instantly.

Varying forms of any injury, I’ve had it in my knees for 10 yrs, used to play basketball for 2-4 hours every day for a couple decades. Used to bug me after I played but didn’t effect my ability to play. We’ve received no indication that he is physically limited. Coaches and players were telling you he looked right before last game. He’s telling you he’s okay and he’s telling you that he just ducked up. Everyone is saying his benching had nothing to do with injury and I believe everyone. Also, the fact that he hasn’t been pushing it for like 6 weeks now reduces the injury itself since rest is the cure.

I think the odds are pretty strong that he makes a play early in the game where Gurley looks like Gurley. He’s the best matchup LA has and I’m confident McVey knows as much.

I am saying this now. This game will not be close. Just a gut feeling here. This the Pats roll. And they NEVER roll in Super Bowls. This team is different. This team is really feeding off of this narrative and are looking destroy the haters. Team shocked me as well. They flipped a switch at some point late. Goff is not ready for this stage. Maybe I should be more nervous. But I’m not this time 🤷‍♂️
