    RG Chief Meteorologist

    Forecast made 12/31, 10:30 AM

A frigid NYE for most of the country, including 7 NFL games played outdoors in below freezing temperatures.

NYJ @ NE – Brutally cold, temp between 10-15 degrees during the game, with a windchill value closer to zero degrees. No precip and light winds (currently 15mph, but should drop to 10mph by kickoff) should mean just minor impacts, slight bump down to kicking and offense for the excessive cold.

WASH @ NYG – Similar story. Temps in the teens, with no precip and sustained winds coming in close to 15mph (putting wind chill temps near zero). A bit breezier than NE game, bump down to kicking and slight bump down to offense.

DAL @ PHI – Temps around 15-20 degrees, dry, with winds 10-15mph. Again, it’s a minor bump down to kicking and offense.

CLE @ PIT – Temps in the teens, light winds. Another game where the cold is the only major factor.

KC @ DEN – Another game with temperatures in the 20s, but no other weather impact.

JAX @ TEN – Still dealing with the cold. Temps around 20-25 degrees, winds 10-15mph sustained with stronger gusts. minor bump down to kickers and offense.

ARI @ SEA – Temp around 40° with a 10mph wind. Fine weather for football.

CIN @ BAL – Temp around 20 degrees, winds sustained at 15mph, gusting to 20. Bump down to kickers, minor bump down to offense.

    Happy NYE, Happy Grinding,
