With Taylor and Ekeler being so popular, does Chubb get overlooked at a price point exactly in between those 2 guys? The Browns are 7-point favorites against a Washington defense that has been a pretty extreme run funnel through 2 weeks (1st in pass DVOA and 21st in rush DVOA).

Chubb can always go off because of his talent so I wouldn’t say to not play him. Drake did get 4.6 yds/carry but didn’t smash against Washington and remember Boston Scott week 1 chalk? Yeah, good times. I am not on Chubb but I’m also underweight on Taylor and going to play some Montgomery so take that for what it’s worth

Regarding Jonathan Taylor, I’m planning on having some exposure, but I wouldn’t call him a lock IMHO. Ekeler also projects to see 20+ touches in a positive game script against a Panthers team that has been destroyed on the ground by Jacobs and Fournette over the first 2 weeks. I realized we’re only 2 weeks into the season, but the Jets rush DVOA is 3rd (Carolina is 29th). Outside of that 80-yard run by Mostert, they haven’t been getting totally gashed on the ground just yet. Drake will be popular as well but he is $1K less than Taylor with similar upside against a Detroit run defense that got annihilated by Jones last week.

I really want to touch on that Washington defense being 21st against the rush. I think a lot of that is skewed by Kyler Murray rushing all over them last game with 67 on 8 carries – which is something that most teams won’t be able to replicate. Against specifically running backs this year the Football Team (lol) has given up 148 yards on 40 carries which is top 10 and closer to top 5.

Now, that doesn’t mean Chubb isn’t a play that can have a huge game. His coach wants to run, they are favored, and he’s talented. I just don’t want you to fall victim to thinking it’s a great running matchup just because Murray blew up the boxscore and skewed rushing stats against them.

Am I the only one who doesn’t like the Curtis Samuel play?

It’s tough to be excited about a WR that has Bridgewater throwing it to them.

Question for DK cash. Do I absolutely need to jam Jonathan Taylor in at RB? I keep hearing everyone say he’s a cash game lock this week. Wondering if it would be suicidal to fade him if everyone else is going to be on him too.

Right now I have the trios of Sanders/Drake/Ekeler and Sanders/Drake/Carson in my two cash game lineups. Can’t seem to find the extra $ to jump from Ekeler or Carson to Taylor. Not sure I even need to?

You have to approach each type of contest differently. I don’t play cash, yet if Taylor is going to be 70% owned I would play him and play for the “block” and differentiate elsewhere.

If he’s only going to be in the 20-30% range then you don’t have to play him. When I used to play cash, once the contests locked, if I saw that all my plays were high owned, I was pretty confident I’d have a good day.

Cash nfl and nba is more a game of let the other guy mess up.

  • NDNole

I like Chubb this week. He is gonna tilt everyone and drop 35. He is in a price point that as has been mentioned already by others he may go overlooked. I am hearing ekler may be lower owned as well. Is that true?

I’m going down to Nc for the next week and looks like sports gambling is illegal so wont be able to access FD sportsbook or DK sportsbook. have to place all my parlays in tonight before i leave. its kind of crazy that most of the us its illegal. anyone know why? i am from nj/philly area and its just mind boggling how the rest of the country is so behind on this. i know us nj people are degens when it comes to betting on sports but how the hell is everyone so far behind and not even caring that its still not legal via apps?

Taylor, Henry, Ekeler, Drake, Sanders are all cash game locks so you do the math. And I can name 6 other RB who very well likely could outscore these guys if:

Taylor gives with to Hines or some other 3rd 4th stringer in a blowout. You know, those guys that used to always leech Marlon Macks TD’s making us not play him.

Sanders gives in to the Beast curse as Wentz every possession of the entire throws the balls to his tight ends. Honestly I just can’t think of a feasible scenario where Sanders gets faded. Maybe Wentz does try to air it out and get it going with whatever receivers he’s got. I don’t know why JJ doesn’t get play time. And maybe they try to get Scott in the mix a bit, they used the duo of Scott and Sanders fairly well in December last year. At that point they were maybe just trying to protect Sanders load in a failed season. This is a desperation game.

Drake rushes for 70 yards and 2 catches for 10 as Murray himself takes advantage of the run openings, lack of pass rush, and Hopkins mismatch. They are so confident in the Murray – Hopkins connection they let a 37 year old man run up and down the field for shits and giggles.

Henry…gets 30 touches again and just shy of the century mark in rushing yards with no touchdowns again… Yeah…

In other words there are no locks this week (*cough*Derrick Henry) in my opinion. I was way into Sanders but he got bested. Anyone has the record from last year of how many they got correct? I could see him putting up 25 and that being fair enough for cash

  • wolfshield

No doubt Henry will have a couple Multi-TD games this year. Why not this week?

Ownership should be suppressed since he boned ppl last week. Ill bite

  • NDNole

I look at what taylor did to minn and im guessing Henry will do better than that. Probably a 2 TD day for Henry. Problem is there are so many rb smash spots this week do we need Henry? Of course his 2 tds could also come with 180 yards or 82 yards. Thats the kicker. I also like Cook in the same game.

    Too many rb’s this week.

  • winnerchickendinner

Might be a good week to do TE in the flex.

  • parrothead112

So, Henry, Sanders, and Taylor and go cheaper at WR?

That was definitely last week. I doubt thats 2 weeks in a row.

  • TomBradyBlueMamba

If you want the chalk players parrot. That’s a call you have to make. You cn choose to play Conner Carson/Zeke Mixon McKinnon if you want to be more unique. James Robinson had 24 points against the Titans, Cook could maybe top that. RB is loaded this week.

Cash I dont think you need henry. But then again im not a cash player. Strictly gpp for me.

NC resident here. Can confirm that FD sportsbook and DK sportsbooks are Illegal in this state. Playing DFS is still allowed however.

There is a casino in Cherokee, NC on the Cherokee Reservation there, however they have yet to open their sports book. I was there a few weeks ago and the signs all said “Sportsbook Coming Soon.”

I certainly am. Christian McCaffrey warranted 30 touches per game. No running back on this roster is going to warrant that. Samuel is quite possibly the closest thing to CMC that they have.

When a player gets hurt and his offensive coordinator begins to hype another player on that team unprompted, I’m listening.

The guy is so cheap, I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t play him a few lineups if they make multiple. Especially the lineups where they need a little a value.

Say he does nothing, and gets 7 DK points, at 4k, you can still cash that lineup. CMC does leave a lot of touches on the field. The more I think, the more I want. Not going crazy, I’ll likely make my 20 lineups and put him in 3-5.

  • TomBradyBlueMamba

Samuel has 300 rushing yards on 8.6 ypc. 8.3% of his rushes go for a TD. Enough said just play him with me let’s make him chalk
