It’s been all the talk – SOFT prices this week. I’ll note what stands out to me, feel free to add.

    QB:
Rivers ($7,000). How his price went down I have no idea. Yes it was against the Jags but the Jets aren’t too much better at defending the pass. Jets are great against the run which makes Rivers need to throw it even more. Love him here.

Big Ben ($7,500). See Jax D.

Brees ($8,900). There is so much value everywhere else this week, I think you can afford Brees here. I know he’s been awful but he has his best matchup of the year and you have to think we’d see his old form at some point right? No better time than this weekend against a pretty poor Tampa D – oh and they are at the superdome.

    RB:
Bell: ($7,300). Jags D and Bell is a beast. If you are going to pay up for an RB – this is the guy to have.

Murray: ($7,500). Houston hasn’t been great against the run and I think Murray has a good day, but I’m not sure if he will hit that 4X mark. Think Bell has a better chance.

Ivory ($3,100). This pricing is unreal for Ivory, who has had a great season. Hoping the newbies will be too focused on the guys up top to scroll down for Ivory. He has great value here.

Jennings ($5,500). Again, a better price than I expected and possibly his best matchup of the year. I am staying away from Manning and the receiving core this week because I think they will be so focused on the run. Jennings is capable of being the top scorer this week for RB’s.

Martin ($6,100). Great matchup and you know they want to keep that Saints O on the sideline. Murray just torched them and Martin could have a big game here as well. He is still a little higher priced than I’d like to get him as this tourney you will need 4X value at every position to make any kind of $.

Bernard ($6,700). NE just got gashed and are on a short week. Bernard and co. have had a week off. I look for him to have a big game and also be a possible top scorer this week.

Sproles ($5,100). His price makes me take a look at him because if there is anyone capable of going off, it’s Sproles. They get a decent matchup and are at home.

    WR:
Brown ($8,100). It’s the Jags and Brown has been a beast this year. Think it continues here. Only thing that worries me is that they jump out to a big lead early and focus on the run.

Harvin ($6,100). The way to beat the Redskins is through the air and everyone knows it. I think Harvin could easily have a big day here.

Quick ($5,900). The Rams really don’t have another quality receiver to throw the ball to. Was hoping he’d be a bit cheaper but in what could be a game where they need to throw to keep up, Quick has the opportunity for a great outing.

Benjamin ($4,800). This one had me scratching my head like the Ivory price. He is obviously their best receiver and it’s not close. Cam loves him, and the Bears just got torched by Rodgers and Nelson. Prob my favorite value play at WR.

Allen ($5,800) and Royal ($4,400). Look at what Nelson and Cobb did. Detroit torched them without Calvin. Jets will be traveling across country – love the matchup.

    TE:
Walker ($4,300). Really soft for this guy. He has been great all season.

Bennett ($6,000). His price tag has finally caught up with him. As long as Marshall is iffy though, it seems as Bennett is the main benefactor of those targets. Tough matchup this week though.

Donnell ($5,700). Think a ton of people will be on him, esp given his matchup. That said, the Falcons are bad on D and he is a matchup problem for anyone.

Cameron ($4,400). Guy has a ton of potential but hasn’t been able to stay healthy. He’s back now and has a good matchup.

Miller ($4,000). Good value for a guy going against a Jags D.

Daniels ($3,300). Pitta is out and Daniels had a decent outing this past week. Colts have struggled against the TE this year. Great value here.

    Thoughts?

50/50 lineup on FD: Luck, Murray, Khiry Robinson, Keenan Allen, K Benjamin, Quick, Owen Daniels, Vinatieri, Lions D

GPP: Russel Wilson, Marshawn, Ivory, D Hopkins, V jackson, Percy Harvin, T Kelce, Matt Bryant, Lions d

    Thoughts?

I like Robinson foshow. He will get the touches. BTW as I have said before I am new to FF. Do great on the sport books and and trying my hand at FanDuel for the first time. My question for you is why have a team for GPP and a team for 50/50? Just wondering. I build two teams myself, one for Thursday and one for Sunday playing $2 GPP $5 50/50 and Rookie. Thoughts?

I dropped Bennett and took Walker. Allowed me to drop Flacco and pick up Big Ben. Im banking on Walker having a huge day Vs. Browns. The stats are there anyway.. We will see.

One quick thought on Kelce. I, personally, don’t like him this week against a 49ers’ defense that is one of the best in the league vs tight ends. Out of their four games this season they have allowed 115 yards and only a single touchdown combined. I just think that Kelce has a horrible match up this week when you look at how tight ends that include Martellus Bennett (34 yards 1TD) and Zach Ertz (43 yards 0TD) have fared.

Anyone feel like Rashaad Jennings is this week’s Donald Brown? The matchup and price seem so good, just like Brown last week. I know he’ll be highly owned but I find it hard to not take him in most of my lineups because of said matchup and price.

Have you looked at Gore? Nice stats at home.. I doubt many will play him since KC has not allowed a rushing TD… Yet.

Agree, its hard to pass on Jennings this week.

Jennings is this week’s Donald Brown in terms of being cheap and having a good matchup but I see Jennings getting close to or hitting value. Unlike Brown, Jennings has actually put up good numbers this season and Atlanta has given up, by far, the most rushing TDs this season. I think Atlanta has given up 9 TDs and the 2nd most any other team has given up is 5.

  • blackcloud420

You can fit almost any combination of players you want this week with ease. Going to be NBA numbers.

  • HuckPig

I wanna fade jennings but it’s going to be hard.

Seems no one is mentioning Ellington. He is just $100 more than Jennings and gets a decent matchup against Denver. I don’t worry about them not using him as much if the game becomes high scoring since he is a good receiver out of the backfield.

Also, back to Jennings. I think Cruz gets in the endzone this week and if I fade Jennings, I’ll for sure have Cruz in my lineup.

  • blackirishguilt

Until ATL shows me they can stop somebody other than Bobby Rainey, I’m not going to believe they can suddenly stop the run consistently and NYG can’t miss the fact that the more they run, the more games they win. Hard to fade Jennings, especially for cash games.

I hear ya there, he is tough to fade. If I do, it’ll be with Ellington instead of Bush. I’ve ruled out Bush

Jonathan Stewart is cheap. Looks like he might be cleared to play.. He returned to practice today. With other RB injuries on the team he might and probably will see a lot of touches. Anyone liking this pick?

As a Panther’s fan, I advise caution. The O-line is really banged up and with Cam’s injuries he isn’t the threat he used to be. Stew is an injury waiting to happen, he runs hard but upright. I’d stay away.

Oh dear. That would mean I would use Khiry Robinson in two line ups… Thanks for the heads up.

No, not so much. I like Chris Ivory at 100 dollars more a LOT better. You couldn’t pay me to field a Carolina RB in daily fantasy right now.

I wish I could use him.. He is about $900 more on FD. I have $5100 to spend.

  • fantasybullybusters

agreed .. i wouldnt touch anyone on carolina until they start producing.. just not worth the risk…

I’m thinking about rolling the dice on McKinnon in a GPP for my value of the week RB.

Edit: At the $5100 level I’d look at Jeremy Hill. If nothing else he potentially gets goal line looks to maybe poach a TD for you, depends on how much risk you feel the extra exposure to Robinson is.

  • elmore0631

anyone else like crowell @ 3400 dk.. looks like he’s gonna get some more carries and is already avg right around 5 per carry.. to add he has 3 tds in 3 games?

think I’m going to roll him out.. just trying to decide on murray or bell.

all pending tate is unable to go..

Nice advice. Thank you. I saw Hill. Was kinda scared of that game.. But He would be the best choice for me at this point. I took Nelson and Cobb in this line up. At Green Bay I just figured Packer were going to throw 80% of the time. Lacy would be a huge gamble IMO.

  • megatr0n81

Doing a cash game on fan duel. Here is my line up, what do you think?

Eli Manning, Rashad Jennings, LeVeon Bell, Antonio Brown, Golden Tate, Brian Quick, Larry Donnell, Shayne Graham, and Lions D/ST

    NP, hope it works out!

I was considering a Nelson/Cobb or Julio/Roddy combo this week also. Both of their QBs have 300/3 capabilities and covering the majority of that with 2 guys puts you in decent shape. I actually like the ATL guys a bit better because of the pricing options thought GB arguably has a higher ceiling.

Ball or Gore, Ball or Gore.. Hmmmm.. This reminds me of the time I could not figure out if I wanted to be a Bud Light drinker or a Coors Light drinker.

  • 8MileAllstars

Out of the box potential home-runs:

    Sankey ($4700) vs Cleveland

    And

    No laughing please,

    Brandon Oliver ($3000) vs Jets

  • EJM

Finally had a chance to sit down and actually throw together a lineup for GPP this week. Here is what I ended up with down below. I’m wondering if I shouldn’t maybe spend less at RB in order to get a better QB but other than that and a feeling most of these guys will be pretty widely owned I feel good about it.

    QB: Ben Roethlisberger
    RB: Le’veon Bell
    RB: Giovani Bernard
    WR: Antonio Brown
    WR: Kelvin Benjamin
    WR: DeAndre Hopkins
    TE: Delanie Walker
    Flex: Chris Ivory
    D/ST: Chargers

The price is depressed on DK to appease the fish in the $2.2mil tourny —- you can make some STACKED lineups this week. 1st place could easy hit 250
