Total shot attempts for per 20 minutes of ice time

  • safeeyes

Really liking Car1 and Wash1 tonight

  • Brandon684

I’ll take Drew Stafford versus the Coyotes defense.

And I KNEW I should have taken more players from the Canucks and Wild. Fade most of them like an idiot last night.

  • THESMARTERLODATO

    Running 3 LU’s tonight. Mixture of WPG1 CAR1 & CLS1

I’m trying to incorporate pace of play into my NHL statistical model, but I need to understand more of what happens when team with pace A meets team with pace B. So today I’m seeing that CHI and WAS play with similar paces (hopefully I’m seeing that…right??), and I can deduce that neither team will play a faster or slower pace because of it. On the other hand, Calgary plays New Jersey, and their statistical paces are hugely different. In this case (or similar cases), which pace wins?

Whose a safer play in net tonight.. Bobvrovsky or Henrik?

    Bobvrovsky

Im new to NHL DFS so please excuse my ignorance, but what does the 1 behind the team name (CAR1) indicate?

  • THESMARTERLODATO

Carolinas first line. So when someone says going with CAR1 tonight, they’re stacking Carolinas entire first line

The 1 designates which line from Carolina. CAR1 is (at least as I write this) Rask/Skinner/Ryan.

Indy — What stats/metrics are you using to calculate pace?

I’m adding Corsi for and against values per 60 minutes. I may be totally off kilter, but it makes sense in my head.

Start your lineups with Drew Stafford and then go from there

Chad Johnson has been playing great. What he won’t see in shots he could make up for with a shut-out…and he’s a last of the night play.

    why?

I’m going to the CGY2 well again. they’ve been good to me for the last few weeks.

  • mavdizzle

I don’t run any statistical models. I was curious if those of you that do have found anything that correlates to real life wins with decent accuracy. Specifically in terms of underdogs?
