Just a thought for an article here at RG…I know hockey gets no love and starters posted relatively late but how about a goalie write up like guys did for MLB pitchers… I believe their were two for MLB…or maybe Pepsi 7 could do a video like he did for baseball…high end option, middle tier option, value and sieve of the night…just a thought…

Favorte punts on FD that I like as one offs in some lus include Shore from dallas, Bailey skating with JT and Panik who is still pretty cheap. I like Canes 1 tonight and Stempniak only 4.2 on FD too.

Condon will start and save 77 shots with 1 hand while the other is giving the middle finger to Bergevin, all with a giant Maple Leaf drawn on his mask

I like that call. Made 1 blue line lu and I stacked them with Wash1. And have them in the breakaway, too. They were good to me the other night.

Jonathan Marchessault off to a good start. Revenge game factor against Tampa Bay. I remember Rasmus Ristolainen had a hat trick last season at Calgary. He’s way too cheap on FD after they removed +/-.

Tonights the first large slate I’ve played this year and I can already tell that it’s going to be the first time I miss not having designated LW+RW on FD.

I’m sure in time I’ll adapt and they’ll be nights that I’m thankful for it, but with these larger slates having it broken up in that way helped limit the focus, which made the decision making process much more enjoyable.

Marchessault still way too cheap for the role he’s playing in Florida (until Huberdeau comes back anyways). I think he’ll be super popular in tournaments, but he’s a lock for me in cash games.

Wash going to roll the AV’s tonight as we all know – who will get 8 points on that team (excluding Ovechkin)?

Best value play on a Dman tonight for sure. I have him all over the board tonight.

Ovechkin’s line going to be super popular. Playing the 2nd line probably the place to look if you want some upside.

Question from someone new to hockey – if only playing a couple lineups is it too risky to take on 2nd lines/PP units? Do they ever seem to pay off or is it more like using a pitcher against an ace in baseball where it could win you a GPP once in a blue moon but more often than not you’re wasting your money. Thx

can use the 2nd line for a team on the road as the top line will often get targeted by the home team with last change to get the matchup they want against the opposing team’s top line. I don’t target pp2 as they often get less time. If pp2 happens to be the line I targeted from a team on a particular, then so be it but I don’t ever say “I’m going with ____ PP2 tonight”.

    Good luck.

There is a freaking 2 game slate wednesday, how big is the breakaway going to be? Probably the same

  • gbiancone

Burakovsky and Vrbata may be the bargains of the night

Don’t be surprised if it’s bigger since there won’t be a super blue line tomorrow. The sites really don’t base the size of a contest on how many games there are. The size of the NHL contest usually has to do with weather there is football or basketball going on or like tonight when they run a super contest.

Perhaps the first viable McDavid-less night of the year….. .Perhaps

  • Yacht67

I honestly can’t find a good reason to fade the Capitals tonight. I don’t think popularity in cash is a bad thing. I am taking OVI’s supporting cast.

game stack either the Flames L1/Sabers game stack, or Caps/Avs game stack, both should be 9+goal games.

  • Mill1155

Anyone on a buffalo and blues stack?

I made two lineups tonight and neither had McDavid and for about 12 minutes I felt comfortable with that.

…and then magically somehow #97 appeared in one of them. Somehow.
