Almost all the home teams are in such prime spots tonight.

  • stellagirl

    First glance impressions:

    PHI2, WSH1, CAR1, and SJS2 late night hammer.

  • PhoFever

My first impressions were NYI1, CAR1, NJ1, and STL2. Dark horse picks ANA1 and DAL1/2. Anaheim tends to give the Canucks problems, and DAL is heating up a bit, and although they still suck as a road team, they might score a few vs depleted Avs.

  • Zieg30

I liked NJ1-PHI1-SJS2-WSH1 the most initially…. but Carolina is in a great spot (though they have been offensively horrible of late, so which line do you pick), Anaheim is in a decent spot, SJS1 is insanely cheap, and STL is in a great spot (though, here, L1 or L2).

Hope you guys didn’t check my lineup last night after the contests were over! Set an early lineup and didn’t get time to check it after taking the kids out for Halloween. Rostered two guys who didn’t even play. 🤦‍♂️

Could have been an even better night had I rostered Kinkaid instead of Price. Those are the hazards of playing DFS with three kids. Sometimes it’s hard to follow the late news and keep everything up to date!

    Good luck tonight everyone!

  • Volkster6

For me tonight it’s WSH1 and some Sharks late hammer!

  • Syzltuth

Had my worst night of the season last night, came in dead last. Well, not exactly, the 2 people tgat didn’t set lineups and had zeroes were technically worse than me but they were the only ones. All those goals and I didn’t get a piece of any any my g got me negative. Looking to bounce back tonight, only way to go is up after that performance!

Ive had a few of those as well. Always bounce back. Just missed last night. Really didn’t think Vegas would have any trouble with Mtl., so very wrong.

    Wow:

In the last calendar week, the #2 team for generating FD fantasy points? NJD with about 205 points generated by all positions, per game.

#1 team for giving UP Fantasy points per game over the same period? PHILLY. 215 points allowed per game.

I see a game stack or 6 in my future.

Btw, SJS is dead last in fantasy points per game, with 95.

Albeit, small sample size (all teams have played 2 or 3 games in that stretch)

  • Volkster6

Awesome stuff! Stella are these fan duel specific points?

I made a couple this morning. I cant believe how cheap that njd3 is. Also pp2.

Are they gonna be mega chalk?

  • stellagirl

Yes, FD specific, but the tool is free and you can toggle it to DraftKings if you wish:

I sometimes use this tool to help me decide on d-men – it can provide a little insight on how well teams handle opposing d-men over a week, 4 weeks, or the season.

  • stellagirl

I think they’ll be chalky, so I am trying to be creative with my builds, like dropping one of hall/palmeri/hughes for Simmonds on PP1, and on the other side of the game playing some farabee on the PP1 and even a lu with full pp2 stack including both niskanen and provorov at D.

First lu nj1 and stl1. Will continue to target Flyers until further notice.

Like wash1, van2 , win1 as well. Will have some Carolina and have my isles in 1.

Funny you brought this up today as I was looking at this for the first time this morning. Trying a build with some of the info there as a different approach tonight

Any of you have thoughts/anecdotal evidence as to whether goalies are better against their (recent) former team(s), or worse?

  • stellagirl

I could be doing it wrong but I cannot recall ever making a decision to start a goalie due to a “former team” narrative. But then, I am ot a big believer in narratives…..

It just feels way down the list of things to consider, at least to me.

  • tristanwolf

better punt d man- a probable to play 1st line brandon montour or the mahura kid who had 3 assists in his debut on the 3rd line?

Be cautious amount Mahura. Not 100% sure he’s going to play tonight. Lindholm is supposed to be back in the lineup and that might rule out Mahura. I looked at him too.
