Going to post this thread early incase anyone wants to talk about the early slate starting at 1pm and later:

    Carolina @ Boston

    Minnesota @ Dallas (2pm)

    Anaheim @ Los Angeles (4pm)

The rest of the slates starting at 7pm and later:

    Colorado @ New Jersey

    NY Islanders @ Tampa Bay

    NY Rangers @ Pittsburgh

    Philadelphia @ Montreal

    San Jose @ Columbus

    Toronto @ Buffalo

    Winnipeg @ Smashville

    Washington @ St. Louis (8pm)

    Ottawa @ Calgary (10pm)

I know DK and I’m assuming the other sites will have the slates divided like this and the big GPPs starting at 7pm as it should be. But there’s still some decent action starting at 1pm.

After my Vancouver stack generated 4 f’ing points last night I have to assume my input is not required in this thread.

Having said that, Philly played last night and looked lazy on defense improving Columbus’s YTD output by 10% and now travels to Montreal to play the second of a back to back, probably worth looking at Paranteau, Pacioretty and even Desharnais assuming Philly will find their way to the penalty box quite a bit.

Hopefully people get scared by their last game against the Rangers but I like the Pens tonight to bounce back nicely.

I’m finding it a bit difficult to decide on my goalie. Have it down to Reimer, Elliot and Rinne (I know there are other choices but I don’t want to pay over 9 mill on a heavy night). Leaning toward Rinne assuming he is playing. Also only playing the late slate of games. There are enough games at 7pm and later already. Plus it is always a gamble as far as information to play those early games when you sometimes don’t know who is in net or who might be a game time decision until later in the afternoon. Update as of 10 min ago says Rinne is likely. He is 5-0-0 against jets in his career…

FYI, they are shuffling lines and Sutter went out of the game after taking a puck to the ear last night. The new line combos looked very uninspiring. Actually it’s just taking Hornqvist off Sid’s like and putting him with Malkin who isn’t producing and putting Dupuis back on Sid’s line which will only serve to reduce Sid’s production.

I can’t believe this organization found the only two coaches on the planet who think Dupuis is a top 6 forward. Yea, he had two goals last night but one of them was a misplay as the end of a penalty by Toronto. I didn’t see the second goal so I have to give him credit for it, but otherwise the line was garbage.

Sounds like sour grapes on a misplay of Dup

    Good luck guys :)

dup seems to perform whatever line he is on.. hes the poster boy for value play… mckinnon might be on the pp but hes centering the 3rd line now. as an isle fan im having difficulty believing they will win tonight.. id ride tb players if i were smart but im not… i like hamilton on the bruins… and i like reilly smith on the bruins as well tonight.. and i watched the capital game last night and they looked awful offensively… cant imagine it getting better on a back to back night vs st lou

  • fantasybullybusters

Nope, just a long time Pens fan who can’t believe the organization is wasting the best years of Sid’s career with Pascal Dupuis on his wing. Name me any of the other 29 teams that Dupuis would be on the first line.

Really felt like tonight was the night I broke my little slump, then realized I selected Bernier instead of Reimer on accident. Guess it’s time to starting looking forward to NFL tomorrow lol.

I had Drouin all over the place. Fortunatley, was on Twitter in time to get him out.

  • Danomite6

This is brutal. Druin is not even playing? I am sure dailyfaceoff had him on the first bloody line until very recently. Are you telling me I have to be glued to my computer right until game time. This is garbage! I’m especially pissed because Flippulla has lots of points already. Also note that as of right now dailyfaceoff still has Druin playing on the 3rd line somehow. There is way to much last minute info coming out these days and it is ruining my pools! I have a life I can’t just sit on my computer all day…

  • Danomite6

Ok so I know a bunch of people are going to jump on and say that this is what happens in DFS. Looks like the ownership of Druin was low across the board. Seriously though, I don’t take issue with what has been happening recently. Rather, I am surprised by how bad a lot of these sites are at actually giving solid information. I hate to throw a site like Dailyfaceoff under the bus but they have really given a lot of incorrect information recently. Is it the insiders or are the coaches of certain teams holding back info more than ever? First line to not even playing is quite the change…

All the info provided on those sites is based on line combo’s in morning skates and sometimes from the coach interviews. But nothing is 100% till the official game sheet is submitted after warm ups.

Pissed they didn’t play him, though. Leave it to the Leafs to let Reimer get absolutely shelled lol.

You never know what you’re going to get with the Leafs lol.

Need 1 more shot/block from Karlsson to take the lead in the Poke Check. BUF top line stack with the Pacoretty line. Initally had Myers & Neuvrth as well but thought that was a bit much. Cost me almost 9 points and I’d have a shot at binking the Sniper as well.

My recommendation is to turn on mobile tweets for daily faceoff. They are good at getting info out via tweet. Should also set up mobile tweets for rotoworld hk too. Mobile Tweets are a life saver.. sent right to your phone via txt.

  • leonia82

Three nights in the row can’t get the right goalie (Thr. Kuemper, Fri. Miller, Sat. Riemer), two of those goalies played Buf (lol), at least on Thur. my forwards came through.
