Is everyone dried out or something? The big $222 is tonight and there’s no chatter!

I like that slate. Lots of options to choose from. FLA1, TB1, CAR1, BOS1, PIT1, DAL1, COL1 and EDM1 are all in good spots!

  • hautalak

I think we’re just flat out exhausted by missing the “right” game!!! Like c’mon Rangers lol Well that was more PHI being abysmal. I have no tickets to the $222 but I’ll play the $100 on the 30th (missed my 1st chance to use the ticket for NHL).

As for today, idk what to do. Part of me wants to load up on NYI & BOS and call it a day. The “new coach” might be in play for BUF tonight so maybe they only give up 3 instead of 6+ lol We’ll see but as you know we’ll have somebody from the forum crush. Good luck tonight for the high rollers.

DK pricing continue to confuse me. When Rakell put up 12 points in 6 games, his price only moved from 4100 to 4500. Since then, he’s been pointless in his last 4, yet his price has jumped from 4900 to 6200. Makes no sense.

I’m just consistently off on all of my picks, and it’s starting to get very frustrating.

Last night, my lineup was: Couturier, Horvat, Tarasenko, Marchesssault, Smith (VGK), Pionk, Provorov, Nurse and Hellebuyck. I was really happy with this before lock and thought it had a pretty safe floor for cash games with a bit of upside built in for the SE GPP’s I play.

The end result was almost everyone in that lineup did nothing, even if their teams popped off and I had my 2nd worst score of the season.

It’s just getting frustrating to always be on the wrong side of things, despite the couple of odd hits I have had this year. I can’t figure out what I’m missing.

The Harrah’s Cherokee Casino in Cherokee, NC, opened for sports betting today. It took two long years to open. The first official bet made was UNC (-4) over WISC in tomorrow’s NCAA tournament first round. Luckily for me it’s nearly 1.5 hours away so I will lose limited monies! More to lose to DFS NHL!

Just be aware that there’s a chance the BOS/BUF game gets postponed. On track to still play, but that’s pending more COVID testing. Apparently, an as-yet-unnamed Bruin tested positive and a member of the Sabres’ staff did, too. The Bruins have been lucky with it so far and have had two false positives, so I’m hoping that’s the case again. But even if that’s the case, that player won’t be playing tonight. So, they both canceled their morning skates and one unknown Bruin will definitely be not playing and just be aware that there’s a chance the game does not play. I imagine BOS1 will be popular, so something to keep an eye on!

Thanks for the update. Pretty heavy on BOS tonight and this could be a slate changer

Ducks 2020 first round draftee Jamie Drysdale is expected to make his debut tonight vs. Arizona at Honda Center.

EDIT: Drysdale isn’t in the player pool on DK.

I’m pretty sure that pricing changes are largely driven by ownership. So if Rakell was garnering large shares, DK uses that as an indicator that his price is too low and increases it going forward. Obviously short term performance and opponent are also considered. I would bet that the price drops pretty quickly back to the low 5000s unless he goes on a tear.

Thanks Southie for the BOS update. As it happens I have none of that game, so no worries.

I did pretty well on the night slate last night as my two touted punts both scored. Sadly a few of the late goals cost me outright small GPP wins, but I made enough to cover the last few days of garbage. Well, not including yet another golf massacre, but I digress. Is it baseball season yet?

Today I am playing Grubauer in net with McJesus, most of TBL1, and some assorted detritus. I rarely play Point but he has been shooting a lot lately and at 6500 I will have some. Not too worried about CHI defensively.

    Good luck friends.

Edit: My punt of the day is Sharangovich 3500 for NJD.

Nice, looks like the BOS/BUF game is officially a go. Bruce Cassidy just spoke to the media. Apparently, it was Sean Kuraly, usual 4th line center, who tested positive. So all the big names are good to go.

Great news! BOS1 looking like a smash spot tonight and Halak is relatively cheap on FD. Hopefully the news will deter people from taking BOS and keep their ownership below 10%.

I know, really not sure what to expect ownership-wise. Haven’t really smashed in a while. One or two big games. Will also have a couple of Krejci/DeBrusk pairings, think they’re primed for a big game soon.

  • Canuckage

Good luck to everyone tonight. Seems like there’s a nice high stakes pool on both sites today.

I decided to go with Lankinen over Bobrovsky in net. When I go expensive goalie at DK, they always get lit up.

  • mr_papageorgio

Wedgewood in for NJ. Congrats to Penguin owners!

  • Southie777

I am definitely going to regret paying attention and seeing that Pavelski is starting on the 4th line and switching up the Stars’ lines. I just know it.

  • Southie777

I feel like there’s someone in here almost every night, lately, saying it, but strange slate. Nobody running away with it. I went from NOTHING doing twenty minutes ago, but after the second CAR goal and the DeBrusk goal with a Krejci assist, I have a couple of very intriguing irons in the fire. Only problem with one is I have Ryan Effing Miller in net, as he’s all I could fit. To tinker or not to tinker, age-old question.

  • Southie777

Sometimes it’s painful to actually be watching a game where you’re heavily DFS-invested. I really didn’t need to know that DeBrusk just hit a crossbar. And I probably wouldn’t, had I not been watching! And, yes, I realize that I’m just talking to myself, at this point.

Yikes I also missed that Pavelski went to 4th.

I feel your pain when watching the games with DFS interest in mind. I assume you are heavy on BOS2 tonight?!

Yeah, being a Bruins fan, I obviously watch them night in and night out and I could tell that they were starting to click and due for a big game and, while it certainly could’ve been bigger, I’ll take it. I’m not SUPER heavy on them, but compared to the field, definitely. But I actually didn’t play the whole line at all, I left off Craig Smith. Also, I could see as the night was progressing, that my couple of lineups that had a chance to really do some damage were those lineups. The best sweat I have going is Krejci/DeBrusk/Grzelcyk, Aho, COL1, Brodin, Ryan Miller. That one’s on Fanduel in the Breakaway. I’m sitting in 44th right now. There are a few lineups ahead of me with full COL1. So it’s basically gonna come down to Brodin and Miller. If Miller is gonna suck, I hope he just gets it over with right away and doesn’t string me along.

  • lomac

How many Avs players are going to hit the shot bonus, 25 shots in the first lol

  • Southie777

Nice, I’m glad Miller obliged me. 😂

  • Southie777

Huh, I actually have a tiny chance to take it down. I need Miller to have a shut-down 3rd period with several saves and come out with the W and Chychrun to not do much. In 18th in the Breakaway and within striking distance and the only guy anyone in front of me has is Chychrun. One time, one time!

  • Southie777

Aaaaaaand we have bonus coverage on NHL Network. Thank God I just found this imperial stout in the fridge.
