How the bleep do you even play this? Do they rotate lines? Do goalies even get a win when there’s 8 goalies available?

  • Aalbanese102089

I was wondering the same thing lol. I would think some goalie has to get a win.. I don’t see there being much strategy involved though, purely just to make watching the game more fun and cheering on your players. Count me ALL IN on John Scott.

This is so silly. Yeah, I’ll probably play a few lineups.

I don’t understand actual hockey… what are MAS, AAS, CAS and PAS? Why are there two games listed?

They are changing the format of the all-star game to a 3 on 3 tourney played by 4 divisions instead of a game played between conferences.

Teams are Metro, Atlantic, Central, Pacific (MAS, AAS, CAS, PAS).

Even if you aren’t a hockey fan, you have as good a shot to win this as anybody, since the whole thing basically amounts to degenerate gambling – all-star games are already pretty far removed from actual hockey..3 on 3 and won’t even be recognizable.

Might be fun to watch, but I’d stay away from this slate.

I hear that there’s a new feature in the All-Star Skills Competition. The “Linesman Cross-Checking Challenge” will award points for both accuracy and elapsed time to dropping your linesman. Dennis Wideman (CGY) is looking like the “chalky” pick this year.

Will both Goalie’s be playing in each Semi-Final or will each team play one and hold out the other if they make the Final?
They better count “Wins”, because that’s probably your only chance to go positive. If it was only one Goalie in the Semi-Final portion you’re probably better off picking the Goalie that isn’t playing.

Thank you buddy. I’m just a team-stacker (which works by the way), but I do respect the sport. 3 on 3 sounds cool!

In regards to the goalie win I don’t imagine that the rule would be any different than how a goalie gets a win during the regular season.

Good to see the only Leaf is priced right down there with John scott

  • Whynot138

fwiw checked with support. only the semi’s count and goalie gets the win as in normal games.

  • epot

Over/under on John Scott’s ownership percentage? Are you guys buying the Guy Like Me narrative?

    Is Bernier starting?

  • statrat2929

what a crap shoot. gonna have to see how much overlay there will be come game time. I just entered into 1 GPP for the hell of it. it should be intereting. Anyone think that goals will be plentiful tomorrow with the 3v3?

  • goldengoat29

I just noticed DraftKings is doing this. I’d sooner burn money.

Which goalies are starting the game? Are all 8 required to play? I guess they are switching out after 10 minutes. I would lean to picking the goalie coming in second, as they are more likely to get the result.

    • Each game in the three-game, 3-on-3 2016 Honda NHL All-Star Tournament will be 20 minutes in length.
    • Teams will change ends at the 10-minute mark of each game. Games that are tied after 20 minutes will be decided by a shootout.

I dunno man I’m torn. I was all over that idea until I saw him in the skills competition last night in the shootout not be able to even get the puck off his stick to shoot.

why do you say the second goalie? I was thinking the starter as if they are leading when they leave and the team holds they get the win. thinking of it as the starter and bullpen in baseball

100% going with the 2nd goalie. No lead is safe and the games are likely to be close (ish) so i want the guy in nets at the end.

  • garybmw

hoe do u find out who goes 1st or 2nd?

fwiw the odds show metro as a -135 and central as a -145

Seems reasonable to fade the 2 teams that are more or less playing shorthanded with Scott and Jagr on them.

yep – so how much extra bump do you give to benn/seguin given they play together during the year? I think a fair bit
