Hey Guys, so I created an NHL optimizer and was wondering how do you account for the Util position? I tried setting a min and max for C, W, and D but it doesn’t seem to want to work. Is there another way?

Assuming you have a ‘total’ column alongside your max/min columns, it should read like this:

    POSTOTALMAXMIN
    G – 1 – 1 – 1
    W – 4 – 4 – 3
    C – 2 – 3 – 2
    D – 2 – 3 – 2

    Let’s say the columns above are R-S-T-U…you would have constraints for each row/position where S < = T and S > = U.

When i tried that i keep getting an error running the solver. Would you have the constraints be such as S < = T; S > = U?

  • ivymoose

Yes. Edited my post, should’ve re-read it after posting, looks like it got auto-formatted to S = T, completely wrong! Sorry.

Thanks! I’ll give that a try
