wow, just the the ‘lowlight’ from last night. I was following the game, but not watching. Was a bit ticked I was heavier on Burns over Karlsn, but damn that goal sucked. My take, Its like in any job, when your Boss is asking you to do too much, quite often you are going to miss something. It is extra terrible if your job has millions of people watching you work….

Whaaat? The pats haven’t done anything, they were set up by the haters to try and stop their awesomeness and it still didn’t work. Lol

    Evander Kane

    17 games, 2 goals 6 assists, -5 rating, 47 PIM, 48 SOG

as with past games, SJ was playing with 5 Ds as Ryan dresses but never plays even 10 minutes, so STL losing Dunn merely “leveled the playing field”

Diehard blues fan my whole life. I have a bluenote tattooed on my calf. I’ve been through many moments of misery. I have seen many great blues leave and win the cup elsewhere. Last night was by far the low point of my 40 years of being a fan. I couldn’t even get out of bed this morning. I felt like someone died. I get if you’d call that dramatic but It’s going to be a really tough one to get over if they lose the series.

I feel your pain. I’ve been a Capitals fan since the first puck was dropped in 1974. I was 16 years old and I’m 60 years old now. The Capitals found every way to lose playoff series, if they did make the playoffs to begin with. Going into last years playoffs I didn’t think the Capitals would hoist, especially down 2-0 to Columbus. Hang in there, you never know what will happen. I wish you the best, as I truly know what you’re dealing with.

So many years of the Sharks and Capitals having great regular seasons and then coming up short in the playoffs.

That’s why it was so odd to see the Capitals win last year and the Sharks getting these breaks this year.

  • hautalak

I’m sorry to hear of all your fan bases. I was born in 91 in MI so I got the glory years of the Wings. So I was very spoiled for just about my entire life. Fast forward to 2018 and they’re in the bottom of the league with little to be excited about.

I guess my point is the NHL goes in cycles and everybody eventually gets their chance, it just takes some teams longer than others. Not that it helps but I do think the Sharks get their first Cup this year. Might have to put an asterisk next to it though lol

I’m just happy there isn’t a “Warriors” of the NHL. I mean we had the Wings, Hawks, and Penguins pretty recently but none of them were runaways. NHL is definitely the best league by far! Sorry for the “lecture/rant” whatever you wanna call it, just wanted to join in.

Many of us Capitals fans consider the Sharks the “Capitals West.”

I was born in 92 and I remember playing them in NHL Hitz ’03 on GameCube. They were boosted! Yzerman, Shanahan, Hull, Lidstrom just to name a few.

As for tonight, I’m going back to the Hurricanes. I can see them winning one at home before losing game 5 in Boston. Also, I just can’t play the Bruins on the road. The SJ/STL matchup is far more interesting as they both have no advantage at home vs on the road. BOS and CAR are both strong home teams.

    No doubt!

I’m a little older than Felixx and grew up rooting for the Devils, so had some good years when I was little. I remember going to a Devils/Flyers playoff game. The Devils won and the drunk Flyers fans were looking to pick fights in the parking lot.

More recently, I attended a Rangers/Senators playoff game at MSG because DK invited me to their suite.

That was a great game and a great team!

I ended up with a bit more CAR tonight. Didn’t ignore BOS though.

And just a side note I appreciate the range of ages that are here. I’ve heard some good stories and gotten to “know” several DFS degenerates like myself so it’s been great. Just all of us passionate about hockey, football, golf, baseball, or whatever it may be.

As usual, coaches hiding things from the public. I’m sure Cassidy knew yesterday Chara wouldn’t play, but didn’t say a thing.

Chara has averaged 22:32 of ice time this postseason, and he’s probably Boston’s most important defenseman.
