Is it just a glitch? Am I crazy? I swear there r nba games tomorrow night. In fact I already made dk teams? Anyone have insight?

  • imjustjoshinya

give em time wait until lakers game is done maybe?

  • DannyTanner

My guess is that they have to roll something out related to the new contest limits and can’t do so until all games are over for the night. Once the Lakers game is over, they’ll probably get busy; hopefully the upgrade won’t take that long.

I know…usually they are up right around 8pm the night before…I have no idea what is going on at FD. No NHL either

“FanDuel will introduce a code-enforced limit on Sunday night of 500 entries per game schedule at $10 and below for NFL and 250 entries per game schedule at $10 and below for each other sport. Because Monday’s NFL contests are already posted, some players may exceed these limits prior to this time.”

    Straight from the FanDuel homepage.

  • captainspaceface

So does this mean we are allowed to enter 250 lineups in games under $10 or am I misunderstanding something?

  • natsboy06

Why would they make this rule?

  • natsboy06

Thank you for contacting FanDuel Customer Support!

Our product ops team has decided to enact this policy after reviewing feedback from our users, and their thoughts on certain contest limits.

Beginning with contests starting on Monday, November 2nd, we have instituted the following entry limits:
-500 entries per contest start time at any stakes fee at or below $10 for our NFL contests.
-250 entries per contest start time at any stakes fee at or below $10 for each other sport (NBA, CFB, NHL, MLB, CBB).

Our maximum limit of 5000 entries per contest game start remains. To clarify, for NFL you may create a maximum of 5000 entries, but only 500 may be at the $10 stake level or below. These limits apply across all contest types. For example if you have 400 paid entries in $5 tournaments for one contest start time, you can only enter 100 other contests (H2H, multipliers, 50/50 or other tournaments) that have entry fees equal to or lower than $10 for that same contest start time.

Should you try and add any additional entries beyond these limits, you will receive a site-generated error message and will not be able to submit your additional entry.

We have long enforced some variation of contest entry limits in the past, and similar to our previous limits, these new limits were instituted for the benefit of our player base as a whole.

    Best,
    Nick

    Thank you for playing!

Weirdest rule ever. Makes no sense.

  • natsboy06

Our product ops team will typically post contests for the following night during current contests the previous night, so it is just a slight delay on publishing the contests tonight.

I apologize for the inconvenience, but they should be posted later tonight or early tomorrow morning.

If you have any other questions, please let me know.

    Best,
    Nick

    Thank you for playing!

This is actually not a terrible thing for the community. Glad they obviously took in to account the upper level grinders while trying to put an end to the pain trains pissing off the new players.

  • xHotLineBlingx

    No FD????

  • Thanasi

In my opinion they haven’t gone nearly far enough. The massive entry numbers by some players make these contests look like a giant lottery to the outsider. I live near AC and my wife works in the judicial system and hears the tactics being discussed by lawyers concerning legal strategy in connection with the gaming board and DFS. The large entry contestants are where they think they’ve got the best chance of calling it a game of chance. They say it’s like having 250 hands in a game of poker vs another contestant with just one equals lottery.
