Following post made before NY news broke

    Hey Grinders,

The battle to keep DFS fully legal is still going on in some states, and obviously New York is an important one. Attorney General Eric Schneiderman is considering preventing New Yorkers from playing daily fantasy sports. There are over 500,000 daily fantasy players in the state of New York and AG Schneiderman would like to put in place restrictive measures that prevent your ability to play. It’s time for our community to come together and stand up against these unreasonable efforts.

If you live in New York, you can help now. Make sure AG Eric Schneiderman hears from you. Tell him you support daily fantasy sports for all in New York state. Daily fantasy sports is fun, entertaining and a game of skill. NY has bigger challenges than fantasy football.

Please contact the Attorney General Eric Schneiderman via phone, email, etc. at the details below, and visit this URL to petition

come on guys. it is gambling. the solution was to have a hearing about it in congress and have everyone learn how it works and get the pro DFS lobbyists involved. ie league representatives who can say how its good for business.

by refusing to address this nationally states have decided to take matters into their own hands.

I am very curious what information the 2 sites submitted in response to the questions NY AG asked.

  • jkokbaker

DFS is obviously a form of gambling, even if it requires skill to win big. Poker takes more skill and it is banned. The sooner everybody admits this is a form of gambling and this industry gets regulated the better for everyone involved. It’s a game of chance and requires some luck.

People bitching and crying every time they lost in DFS ruined it and brought unescessary attention…I lost so let’s start a forum saying how it’s corrupt and somebody had to cheat cuz I didn’t win..it can’t be because I suck at it…

I can only hope that DK and FD get their act together very quickly. When thing initially began to “go south” for the industry – they appeared to be doing nothing. FD seems to have stepped up today, but the sites are going to need some smart lawyers to fight this. Also, what about all the corporate investors – they should be out front defending this industry not keeping silent.

How does this affect the FD HQ in NY? Do they have to leave or what? I guess im cashing out……..

  • Chad32676

Can we (New Yorkers) play this weekend?

  • sonic999

Seems like republicans dont really care.and.democrats want to move on it thru either regulation or banning

Let’s just clear this up now before it gets out of hand…The NY AG does not care about what is being posted in forums like RG.

Just read that Draft Kings will NOT pull out of New York and will fight this ruling.

ALSO, I’d use your FPPs on draftkings just to be safe, as well:

At this time you may access DraftKings in full. I cannot comment on what actions we may take towards FPP’s. I apologize that I cannot be more of a help and I thank you for your patience.

I think they have questions themselves. insider trading is a bad look.

Actually it was the sites themselves that brought this on. They did nothing to stop lineup sharing. They changed their terms on scripts to help their whales and they didn’t act like a real company when one of their own screwed up big time.

The leak was posted here which started all this so I’m guessing they do listen a little bit but you are right most of the shit they don’t read

  • electrichaz3

Proud of dk for the statement

  • habes1289

So as I understand it this was the threat, not an actual ban until it goes through the legal system. So NYers may have some time yet.

I’ll go with both cuz I’ve been around since the beginning and some conspiracy theorie here and elsewhere are just plain ridiculous..I do agree something about scripts and Lu sharing should have been done…

Hey who was the one that conducted the investigation on DK? Wasn’t that the NY AG or am I mistaken?
