What a great way to start the weekend…….NOT!

Got an email from FD about sending email to Otis and Latimer (NY legislators), very easy one click, NY DFS players get off the chitter and make your voice heard. Another thing, when voting comes around again I am gonna make sure all these fat cats in office who opposed DFS are not getting my vote for re-election.

Do you really think Eric Schneiderman banned DFS because he’s concerned about people’s gambling habits? Come on, that’s just what he tells the gullible sheeple.

Or maybe Schneiderman is just wiping out competition to the State’s lottery ticket monopoly and looking out for his casino and racetrack cronies. Last year alone Eric Schneiderman took in $48,750 in campaign contributions from gambling and casinos companies. And you better believe that’s not all they gave him.

While I agree with you that he’s not doing this because he’s concerned about people’s gambling habits, I can tell you that $48,750 in campaign contributions is NOTHING in the grand scheme of things for a guy in his position. He’s received FAR more from other business interests.

I think he’s doing this more so that he can be the famous crusader for public good, the guy who shut down these big evil companies and their annoying ads, so when he runs for Governor or Senator or something, his shutting down DFS is just one more accomplishment that he can cite to. He wants the spotlight.

Helping out the casino/racetrack cronies is a side bonus.

All 250 of you willing to do that won’t make a dent.

Eric doesn’t have a clue about either kind of fantasy game. No way I could be him. I play large volume of both and have great understanding of both kinds of games. Both are skillfull for sure. One game of season long is simply much more skillful than one game of DFS, that’s all. It is a shame that the DFS sites couldn’t do a better job of showing that it is a game of skill, rather than making an asinine comparison to full season, which is more skillful, and a losing argument. Unfortunately, it helped lead to this sad day for New Yorkers and the industry.

Every sentence should be prefaced with ‘in my opinion’……

You could be right but I think this a horrible move if Schneiderman is seeking higher office. The only reason we even know of the dude is because of something horrible he’s doing to us.

I agree, the same reason he wanted to sue trump, just to get publicity. So if they ultimately change the law on January 6th, schneiderman already got his name national publicity. Working with fd, dk, and legislation won’t get him much, so he did what he did
