Dude! I deposited on fanduel in New York three hours ago.

  • pool7410

Looks like I just can’t deposit right now. Hopefully FD mans up and lifts the restriction tomorrow

  • sharksfansd

A good news, bad news type of deal for NY FD players https://newsroom.fanduel.com/2015/12/12/resuming-play-in-new-york/

Lol screw you fanduel. Wat the hell man

Unfortunately kinda what I would expect from FD. I would think most people withdrew after they pulled out last month so to most people including myself they are still effectively banning NY players.

Yeah, doubt too many of us actually left a solid balance in our accounts

Fanduel has a bunch of pussies running the company. I expect them to keep restricting NY players even with the emergency stay in place. I really hope i’m wrong because I love playing there but honestly I would be shocked if they started accepting NY players this weekend.

They already are allowing players from New York.

Someone on Twitter replied to FD’s press release said they will just go over to NJ and deposit. Not sure if that is a valid method or not. And obviously not the most convenient method to playing compared to the ease of DK in NY.

Brag: I didn’t withdraw on FD!

Beat: I honestly don’t think I’ve booked an NBA win in 3 weeks. I’m a predominantly cash game player too

DK going to appeal and appeal and appeal until NYS loses enough interest and money to move on to the next thing . DFS going to win this war.

  • whothis

Through this whole process with the AG, DK has stood up and center taking the full brunt and letting their customers (NY) to play DFS. I was primarily FD player. As of November 17th I believe that all changed. If this gets settled in the upcoming months in favor of DFS. I seriously doubt I would redeposit on FD. I have to show loyalty to DK who let us play while others did not. FD could of done freerolls during the last couple of weeks for NY players as a sign of good faith. THANK YOU DK FOR GETTING THE BEST FRIGGIN LAWYER

Haven’t heard anything about Ohio, please tell me it’s not going to get banned there !

A few weeks ago the Ohio AG commented on dfs. He basically said that it is up to the state law makers, and that as of now no jurisdiction has contacted his office either way regarding dfs.

anyone else from NY having trouble logging in from PC? iphone works fine, but even after clearing cookies etc still cant get in.

  • pool7410

Can you drive to New Jersey and deposit if you live in New York? I emailed FD asking about it and just got the generic copy&paste answer about the court decision

Do you only need to be physically located in another state to deposit or are you just unable to deposit anywhere if you live in New York?

Has anybody in New York been able to deposit in another state? I live about 45 minutes from new jersey and will take a drive if I can get a definitive answer.

i havent tried to deposit, but you should be able to do this. it may not work on your phone, so i would suggest using someone elses who hasnt used FD.

with FD, its all about location so we’re not breaking and laws and will go to jail as someone earlier said. ha

No problems here. I just keep hoping that one of these times, i’m going to click the “add funds” button and it will let me deposit. Probably just wasting clicks at this point.

Just as an FYI….DraftKings ended up suing the payment processing company to prevent them from pulling out after the initial AG ruling & FanDuel did not. I’m not 100% sure, but it’s likely the reason that DraftKings still is taking deposits & FanDuel is not.

Depositing from NJ or another state is an interesting work around. If anyone gets confirmation one way or another please pass along.

I’m mostly worried about wasting 90 minutes driving & about $20 in tolls. Using a PC isn’t an option for me. Why wouldn’t it work on the phone?

just use someone elses phone or try uninstalling/reinstalling on your phone

it will definitely work with someones phone who never installed fanduel. bring your gfriend, wife or whoever with you.

I don’t think that should matter. They use GPS to track your location and i’m still signing into the same account and using the same credit card. I don’t think it will matter if the app was installed or not or if I use a phone or PC. It’s either going to work or it’s not. F it… i’m probably gonna give it a shot. I think it should work. I’ll report back if I end up going.
