    Hey guys,

New here. Does anyone have any experience with FantasyAces and their withdrawal times? I requested a $600 payout to PayPal 7 days ago and still have not received it. Their website says 24-48 hours.

I would assume these smaller sites would have a heavier focus on customer service, which is why I chose FantasyAces (along with the smaller GPP games). Apparently not?

MOD NOTE: FANTASYDRAFT PULLS OUT OF ACES DEAL, 1/30: In an official statement from FantasyDraft, the company has said “Unfortunately, because of issues identified during our due diligence, we are unable to purchase the assets of Fantasy Aces. We will continue to provide the best possible daily fantasy experience for our users, and are committed as always to putting our Players First.” We’ll post any additional news as it’s confirmed.

MOD NOTE (Feb 1, 1:53 AM EST): FANTASY ACES HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY Initially reported here.

MOD NOTE (Feb 13, 8:40 PM EST): HUGE NEWS VIA FANTASY DRAFT, REIMBURSING FANTASY ACES PLAYERS Initially reported here.

If someone wants to start getting some info on Aces owners into the thread, along with some California BBB contact information and California AG contact information, NYS Gaming info etc. I think it’s time to put some public pressure on them to make a statement and have us start contacting proper authorities if our money is indeed stolen since they apparently don’t want to make a statement.

The Aces guys have been nothing but nice to me personally and the community over the years, but with a fairly large sum on there along with plenty of others that have significant money on there, we need to start pushing for a resolution ASAP.

It’s also a pretty bad look on the regulators if Aces did have permits to operate and were allowed to use player funds as operations. We need to hear a statement ASAP from Aces, the silence is not good as one would think they would have immediately re-opened for withdrawals if everything was on the up and up.

    Aren’t they a Canadian company???
You have no re-course to get $$$ back…
and the FSTA is not legally-binding for anything.

We have suspended Fantasy Aces’ membership, pending resolution of the matter.

    “Suspending?” “Pending?”

So there’s a chance, after all of this, that they would let back in? The terms should be “terminated” and “effective immediately”

at that point i think it’s safe to say i would become the world’s biggest DK fan.

I would play more I would move over 100% of my action to any site that did this, but not holding out hope.

Are you suggesting legal action can’t be taken? If so, that’s BS.

  • KindGuy

The question becomes, what incentive do DK and FD have to buy out another failing company and then be forced to pay out money to people that may have never even played on their site?

  • Messiah717

I feel very badly for everyone affected by this. Unfortunately, while hoping for the best is never a bad thing the writing was on the wall once FantasyDraft pulled out of the deal. If the FSTA statement turns out to be true then the people who ran that company are complete scum. They stole your money to cover themselves and now watch while they run to bankruptcy court.

Be careful…we are not supposed to be using the “s” word on here in regards to a company that won’t let you access your money and won’t inform as to why or where it is currently located. Apparently there is another word for it that isn’t called theft that I am still trying to figure out.

to be fair…he is saying until resolution of the matter….

if Aces reveals tomorrow that they took so long because they we working out a deal to throw a huge going away party at Playboy Mansion with anyone having a remaining balance there. You can either be flown out to LA with a 2 nights stay + open bar/party at the PB Mansion where they hand everyone a real and a huge fake check (only for members with at least 4 figures in their account). Or you can take a cash equivalent for the trip + your check shipped overnight delivery.

Think if that happens I’d be cool with them having their membership given back.

Has anyone received a 1099 from them?

one thing at a time man…

i’m not sure how that will pan out if they don’t pay out remaining balances. shouldn’t have to pay taxes on cash you never even got right?

  • Messiah717

I admire some of the optimism but the thing is that the pieces of this being a complete and utter disaster keep falling into place perfectly. It’s not going to take much more before it becomes clear as day what has happened here. I would very much like to come here tomorrow and see a statement from FA that says sorry for the delay and that everyone’s money is safe and will be made available to you. I’d really like that but I don’t see it happening.

You should be the next George R. R. Martin. You have one hell of an imagination.

I see this ending with a whole bunch of people being butt hurt.

Here’s the thing. Even if Aces wanted to pay those player funds, if they are going into default the funds would be ceased by the creditors and it is highly unlikely you would get it back. Unfortunately, that is typically how these type of things go down in that world. You are last on the totem pole.

They are a US based company – https://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/FASDF/profile

Their stock trades on 2 different markets:

“In addition, Fantasy Aces is excited to announce that its Common Shares will begin trading on the OTCQB, a U.S.-based stock exchange, under the symbol FASDF, effective immediately. The Common Shares will continue to trade on the TSXV under the existing symbol FAS.”

Unfortunately, I think our odds are the same.

Bankruptcy is very complicated. They obviously do not have enough cash to pay back everyone but the order of who gets paid back and how much they get paid can differ.

You should be able to offset that with the loss of your account balance.

I was ecstatic when DK bailed out everyone (including me) who had money on FantasyHub. I had a lawsuit drafted and ready to file (I’m a lawyer) against FantasyHub based on their fraudulent inducement near the end, where they ran a promo that ended up raising money and then went under a couple of weeks later. I shelved the lawsuit when the FantasyHub crooks got rescued by DK because by transferring money to DK people technically ended up not suffering any damages (and I love DFS so I don’t want to make any waves.) But if no one steps in to save FantasyAces, I’d be happy to revive the lawsuit and hold these jackwagons accountable. The money is there, somewhere, and there should be a way to recover it.

I have zero idea what happened with Aces and we still don’t know whether or not Aces had segregated funds or not. These sites end up owing money out of their ass to sites that refer players to them kinda like this very site we’re discussing on as well as legal fees and fees to certain states that require licenses to operate in and many more expenses. Investor money has dried up and it’s also possible investors are filing lawsuits against Aces and they had to return capital on investment.
