    Hey guys,

New here. Does anyone have any experience with FantasyAces and their withdrawal times? I requested a $600 payout to PayPal 7 days ago and still have not received it. Their website says 24-48 hours.

I would assume these smaller sites would have a heavier focus on customer service, which is why I chose FantasyAces (along with the smaller GPP games). Apparently not?

MOD NOTE: FANTASYDRAFT PULLS OUT OF ACES DEAL, 1/30: In an official statement from FantasyDraft, the company has said “Unfortunately, because of issues identified during our due diligence, we are unable to purchase the assets of Fantasy Aces. We will continue to provide the best possible daily fantasy experience for our users, and are committed as always to putting our Players First.” We’ll post any additional news as it’s confirmed.

MOD NOTE (Feb 1, 1:53 AM EST): FANTASY ACES HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY Initially reported here.

MOD NOTE (Feb 13, 8:40 PM EST): HUGE NEWS VIA FANTASY DRAFT, REIMBURSING FANTASY ACES PLAYERS Initially reported here.

Any money you have on a site that isn’t FD or DK or Yahoo is money you should be prepared to lose. If you NEED DFS money to survive then you shouldn’t be playing DFS.

    Are you serious dude?

Piggybacking @mberkowi and his comments, please enlighten us all on how engaging in an illegal act of suspending and transferring segregated funds without the owner’s consent isn’t a huge deal?

No, I am sorry…These funds are not there to lose. Many state laws mandate that these sites are segregating the money in those accounts. THEY ARE NOT FOR OPERATIONAL USE. The law was potentially (let’s be honest, likely) broken here and you think it’s just a bunch of people complaining? You have to be kidding me man.

The reason we are not getting rep updates is because they were likely ordered by lawyers to clam up. This makes matters worse, but at this point it is understandable. FantasyDraft knows this was not handled well (I say possibly illegally if I understand fund transfer sales properly) and they know it and have gone to the bunker position.

  • oldschoolways

I’m not particularly mad at FantasyDraft, at least they’re doing the bailout, hopefully it comes soon. The sooner the better. I don’t have much money tied up (and I don’t leave much bankroll on any site for just this reason), but it’s still annoying. Hard to treat the industry with respect when the two options seem to be grassroots sites that are at constant risk of going under and big behemoths dominated by sharks.

The following post is considered constructive… “If you had money on a DFS site that you needed to pay bills and live everyday life, then you are stupid”.

I fail to see how it’s anyone’s business what funds people use to play DFS and the poster goes a step further and calls people stupid. Unbelievable how my post expressing my disdain for that post gets deleted.

    Hey Guys,

We are really excited we were able to come to an agreement with Aces

Fantasy Draft customer service e-mailed me this morning back tracking that a deal wasn’t done. We really need this cleared up. We have 2 entities pointing the finger at each other and the customers are getting screwed.

I honestly don’t see how RG can feel good having a relationship with either site until we have answers.

This has that past online poker stink to it at this point.

RG is being more quiet on this thread, because I think they are aware this is looks to be turning into a shitshow. I honestly can’t blame them. I’d like to think they are using their limited influence here to gain information, but doing so behind the scenes.

My new thinking is that the way this deal was going down maybe indeed wasn’t as legally sound as originally thought. Maybe FantasyDraft learned of some less than ideal handling of funds and their people determined another review was in order. That would be a smart and honest approach. Once again, I am just optimistically assuming that “doing the right thing” is part of their methodology. If this is the case, someone should at least update to some capacity, no? It appears that FantasyDraft is absorbing the problems/failures of another entity and this might not be the best acquisition after all.

In the meantime, player funds are being illegally withheld from their rightful owners. I give this another 2-3 days until NYT or Deadspin picks this up and we have another media storm that furthers the growing narrative that regulation is needed.

I’m going to give FantasyDraft the benefit of the doubt as they said 3-5 business days. Although it would be great if we could get some clarification that everything is still on track.

Poor people playing the lottery is stupid. If you are spending your rent/bills money playing DFS, you are stupid. That’s a FACT.

Some of you fail at reading comprehension. I never said this was being done correctly. Just that they are trying to get it done as fast as they can. If they were intentionally slow-rolling this AND FantasyDraft wants to continue being in business, then they would also be stupid.

Right now the STABLE/SAFE DFS companies are FD/DK/Yahoo. Any other site you play on, you are taking an extra risk. I’ve played on 7 sites(Aces/Feud/Hub/DraftOps/OTP/two others I dont’ remember name of) that have gone under. If FantasyDraft comes through I will have lost less than $1 total.

Actually, it’s an opinion. You’re the one saying “if you have a brain” but you aren’t using yours. There are people that are DFS professionals and make their living from it. Whether or not people are paying bills with this money doesn’t matter. What if someone had a car break down and needed to w/d $1000 from their account to pay for it? That’s money that normally wouldn’t but needed but is now needed to replenish a safety/backup fund.

End of the day, you’re ignorant for pretending that anything is a “fact” with how people should be handling their own money.

  • BKLionKing

For all of those people saying that they hope FantasyDraft brings in the SalaryPro aspect from FA, don’t get your hopes up. Look at what happened with DK when they took in D$. They said they would evaluate the D$ offerings and hoped to bring many of them along. All these years laters DK’s pricing algorithm is still nowhere close to as good as D$‘s was, we don’t have weekly contests, HR Derby, and, most importantly, no drafts.

Finally, can we get some sort of confirmation on what the hell is going on from a FantasyDraft rep? And will our “transferred accounts” be treated as new deposits (which they legally are) with the deposit bonus? Zero chance I keep a penny on there if it isn’t.

  • kame222

Since when are you to tell people what to do with THEIR money or how to invest it?? Just because you don’t make a living from DFS, doesn’t mean that others are not. I personally didn’t keep a lot of money in my account but some people did and have been trying to take it out for weeks. It’s ILLEGAL for them not to pay out because player funds are supposed to be kept separate. That’s ALL ANYONE NEEDS TO KNOW. Your opinion or this or that blah blah blah is ALL IRRELEVANT! That is a fact and your opinion is not important at all!

Me too man!! I am from Idaho as well and FA was my only spot to play. Is there any chance that Fantasy Draft allows Idaho players to participate? Why was fantasy aces able to continue anyway? Would really love to see Fantasy Draft offer Idaho players a chance to be involved.

I’m in Idaho also and have been playing on Aces since April. When Aces shut down I tried to test the sign in process on FantasyDraft and got rejected based on my address. Not looking good. At this point I’m just hoping to get my money back and call it quits.

  • Jc801

I have learned my lesson I won’t be keeping large sums of money on my accounts. I liked having a decent bankroll for the ups and downs of dfs.

This is a joke right? Just because someone doesn’t play on one of the bigger sites they should be willing to lose money. Also I doubt everyone upset with how this went down “needs” their DFS money to survive but it’s fair for people to expect some communication about how THEIR funds are being handled and will be available. And you Southern have no justification in assuming certain people don’t have a brain. Insulting others isn’t needed and helps nobody.

opps I accidentally quoted the wrong post with a gif.

Some people fail at “reading comprehension” while inaccurately pointing out other peoples’ inability to read and comprehend.

You’re no Ernest Hemingway there pal. But of course, we’re probably all just “stupid”.

I don’t see a scenario where you do not get your funds back. It sucks they are tied up but Fantasy Draft would not acquire Fantasy Aces player base and account balances without honoring and making those balances whole. They said 3-5 business days to close the transaction. Today is only the 2nd business day. Has it been handled well? No. Should it take 3-5 business days to finalize? I really have no idea. Should have both sites provided better communication? Absolutely. All valid complaints, but everyone is going to get their balances back once the deal finalizes.

EDIT TO ADD: This was all assuming the deal goes through, which now it looks like it is not. That is not a good sign.
