    Hey guys,

New here. Does anyone have any experience with FantasyAces and their withdrawal times? I requested a $600 payout to PayPal 7 days ago and still have not received it. Their website says 24-48 hours.

I would assume these smaller sites would have a heavier focus on customer service, which is why I chose FantasyAces (along with the smaller GPP games). Apparently not?

MOD NOTE: FANTASYDRAFT PULLS OUT OF ACES DEAL, 1/30: In an official statement from FantasyDraft, the company has said “Unfortunately, because of issues identified during our due diligence, we are unable to purchase the assets of Fantasy Aces. We will continue to provide the best possible daily fantasy experience for our users, and are committed as always to putting our Players First.” We’ll post any additional news as it’s confirmed.

MOD NOTE (Feb 1, 1:53 AM EST): FANTASY ACES HAS FILED FOR BANKRUPTCY Initially reported here.

MOD NOTE (Feb 13, 8:40 PM EST): HUGE NEWS VIA FANTASY DRAFT, REIMBURSING FANTASY ACES PLAYERS Initially reported here.

Going to throw this out there – take it for what its worth:

This was a sale of the business – not our accounts. Sure there had to be some sort of valuation based on the number of accounts but there is a lot of accounting/analysis behind the scenes that we aren’t aware of. FantasyDraft might have viewed something differently and changed their price to a number FantasyAces wouldn’t accept….at least I hope so. This happens in business all the time – its why due diligence periods exist.

With that said, their PR and customer support has 100% sucked and they have a big hole to dig out of to get users back. They never should have said anything until the deal was final and they certainly should have been processing our withdrawals.

I would be very surprised if they come back as a functioning daily fantasy website.

But you are incorrect. This was not the sale of a business. It was the ‘sale of certain assets including player accounts’. Big difference.

Who in their right mind would ever trust them again after this?

Going to be polite here and ask you to stop attempting to ensue a mass panic. You’ve gotten your point across but you don’t need to keep telling people they’re wrong. Wait for an official statement before you go off the rails. Has this been handled poorly? Obviously. But there has been nothing to say player funds aren’t secure. There are a ton of moving parts in an acquisition and player funds may not have been the root of the issue. Just chill for a day and see what Aces said before you get everyone freaking out because you keep telling them the worlds exploding. (it could be even, not ruling out that you’re right, it’s just not helping.)

Yeah, you’re right. Everyone here is upset about this because of me. My bad. Sorry everyone. Fantasy Aces is great and I am sure everything is fine.

To be fair, in retrospect I kinda see your point and causing hysteria was not my intent.

But there are people here saying their withdraws have been suspended for a good few weeks. These two sites announce a shotgun sale in the middle of the night, out of the blue with no heads up. Then both entities stop communicating what is going on for 48 hours, then we get one twitter post saying the whole thing is off and nothing else.

When exactly do you think people should start getting concerned? In other words, how long should one wait until it is proper to board the freak out bus in your opinion? Just curious.

But there is a whole lot to suggest it. And Fantasy Aces is doing nothing to this point to deny it.

Honestly, do you think they would come out and admit that funds were being used at this time? If a company wasn’t hiding something do think they would go completely dark like this when they know that it looks God awful?

I just don’t see a happy end to this, but naturally I would be very pleased to be wrong in this case.

Fantasy Ace’s decision maker’s right now.

I absolutely love DFS, but man it feels like such a dirty space a lot of the time. A site is either a monster who seems to put the needs of a few above the wants of the many or a smaller company that takes your money like a thief in the night and expects you to take it like a champ. Really hope this all works out but just has such the feel of the online poker thing that is going to implode on itself shortly. Hoping I am wrong!

Maybe I really want to believe that everything is going to be fine. Hopefully the followed the FSTA Charter. And they also better be preparing one hell of a statement. Only they know everyone else’s fate right now. We’ll see.

The FantasyAces website now just reads that an announcement is coming soon and to please stand by. Of course that means nothing since they just had to put something in the wake of the deal falling through. I’m sorry for anyone who has their money tied up in this. I always wanted to try out playing on one of the smaller sites but I’m glad I never did.

Was anyone aware of any previous problems with FantasyAces? I ask because I happened to Google FantasyAces Scam which any of you can do right now. The first couple of search results are a Facebook page somebody made and then there’s a short Reddit discussion from about a year or so ago. The Facebook page looks like it had been a warning somebody was trying to get out about this company. I guess it fell on deaf ears. The Reddit discussion again from a year or so ago is in regards to people not getting withdrawals in a timely fashion.

The Facebook page is the most disturbing in light of what’s going on right now. It appears it was put up during the summer.

Honestly, I’m tired…tired about all these threads about the demise of DFS. Did something go wrong here? Yes, something is not quite right, but at the same time you all seem like this is the end. DFS will always be here. It may not be how you see it now, but DFS will survive. Why? Because we all want to play. Someone will come out with a product that we all want to play. It may not be the FandDuel/DraftKings that we envision, however I believe that we will always be allowed to make our daily choices.

Anyone can have one negative experience and go off the rails on a site. Player X has a withdraw issue, Player Y does something shady and projects back at the site, etc etc.

I never had one negative experience with Aces and have played there nearly weekly since early 2015(?).

The Facebook page is interesting however. Seems like one person with a super personal agenda, but the numbers are a bit alarming. Hopefully we all get some closure today.

This is the same guy defending them time after time on the Reddit link. This dude can’t see the forrest through the trees…

  • mbaldauf

To clarify, I meant they did not sell our account funds. Again I’m making optimistic assumptions, but there could have been a disagreement on the value of these unique accounts once FantasyDraft looked into it.

  • Messiah717

Has anyone received their funds or are they just being held in limbo?

  • TheAdman01

All I know is that me and dude_abides were one of the first people to realize something was very wrong with this entire transaction. However, I could not imagine it would turn out with FantasyDraft pulling out of the deal. By acquiring the company, in most situations hey would be liable for FA’s debts, etc.. Unclean hands, something of that nature was found at the last minute and FantasyDraft knew they could potentially be liable.

Now the real question is, was all of the player data funds etc wiped clean? I am no IT guy so I am just thinking out loud. Get your popcorn out, FA has probably been drafting their first statement since they knew the deal went belly up.

That’s a nice catch by you. Now it makes sense that he is the only one here defending FA.

Granted, there are others preaching caution, but I think most people think that the circumstantial evidence points to, at the very least, that something was (is going) horribly wrong over there at FA.

Assuming the operators are in hot water it makes sense that we have complete silence. That is what lawyers advise their clients….to say nothing. If this was all a big misunderstanding, it wouldn’t take much effort to make one, brief public comment that everyone should chill, their funds are safe and we’ll be in touch. They aren’t doing that and this is telling.

Jesus, I commented something over a year ago and you’re going to call me out on it?

I stand by my statement, I have never had any issues with FantasyAces. Why wouldn’t I back them if someone was going off the rails against them if I have never had a problem with them? (again, mind you, this was A YEAR AGO)

This is obviously a different situation and I am not defending them. But a year ago this shit wasn’t happening. But glad a dude with an account for five days is calling me out like he knows me. Good on you, dude.

That was a year ago on a Reddit link of a dude freaking the F out after not getting money for five days. I think this situation is a ton different than that one. Sorry you took offense to me telling you guys (and a dude on reddit over a freaking year ago) to just chill out for one god damn day. I have zero affiliation with FantasyAces, just simply said that over my time playing there I never had an issue with withdraws. That was a simple fact. This situation is obviously a ton different and if you think I am defending them now then you are absolutely crazy.

  • kame222

Relax…no need to call names. This isn’t 5th grade. The post was not dated and I didn’t have any problems with them other than having to tell them to send my money after 2-3 days cause they never sent it unless I emailed them. This is however, a completely different story. Being late on deposits is one thing, leaving errrr selling and jumping ship in the middle of the night is completely different. This thing stunk from last Wednesday through the weekend and it’s far worse now. I was not the least bit optimistic from the time I woke up Thursday and I’m even less optimistic today. It is what it is…

I think FantasyDraft just shot itself in the foot here if this does get resolved in a positive way for the players. They got everyone’s hopes up (I am still not sure why they would have done this without a complete evaluation of FantasyAces) and then basically disappointed everybody. Given that they are similar in size to FantasyAces, I see no reason why any players would go down the same path again and play on their site.

It doesn’t sound good for players funds as of now. Maybe FanDuel or DK comes in and bails out another one, but I am not sure they can continue to do this. Maybe FantasyDraft realizes they screwed up and go ahead with the deal. If Aces has no assets and just went under from piss poor management, then we are screwed. If there was fraud involved then there could at least be some recourse. I still like to hope that there are player funds in a separate account, but it does not sound good. At least those radthad954 emails will stop now.
