from what i heard on the radio they are looking to make it the same as march madness type stuff. legal as long as the house takes 0%….so in otherwords…this is a ban

Exactly. DK/Fanduel isn’t going to run games at no rake, nor should they. They’re a business, no way they’d ever go for that.

This guy is a clown and hopefully the other congressman just laugh at him.

Here is the reply I got: (And I’m sure everyone else got as well that sent a message)

    Dear Mr. Murphy:

Thank you for contacting my office to voice your concerns regarding Senate Bill 356 (S.B. 356). I always welcome the opportunity to hear from my constituents and appreciate you taking the time to advocate on behalf of an issue on which you feel so strongly.

Under current law, fantasy sports are permitted to operate in Ohio so long as 100% of the entry fees are paid out in prizes. Senate Bill 356, sponsored by Senator Coley, would specifically charge the Ohio Casino Control Commission with regulating fantasy sports and E-sports contests to ensure these games comply with Ohio law.

Currently, S.B. 356 has been assigned to the Senate State and Local Government Committee. Please be assured that I will keep your thoughts in mind should this legislation come before me in the Senate for a vote.

Again, thank you for taking the time to write. I hold your input in high regard and look forward to hearing from you in the future about other issues facing Ohio. As always, if I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office.

    Warm personal regards,

    Shannon Jones
    State Senator
    7th Ohio Senate District

They haven’t taken steps to shut it down despite the current law that is referenced, which is good. I think (hope) it will just end up resulting in regulation. I work on the border of Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana..so I should be able to work around to make deposits and enter contests if it comes to that.
