Don’t know about KBarn, but that’s definitely a dude I could chill out with.

I mean I don’t know who wouldn’t like some decent tequila.

I’ve got 3 cases of beer. That should get me through the next 4 nights/mornings of Olympic golf.

You’ll be going back for more on Friday. Don’t forget to drink water in between and contrary to popular belief, light snacks such as a veggie tray or caprese salad are much better drinking companions than burgers and other fatty stuff.

It’s dark and we’re wearing sunglasses. Hit it!

Extreme example below, but looking someone better than me at golf statistics to explain as I’m just trying to figure out how they work.

If a golfer hit every approach shot over an entire tournament to under 1 foot from the cup, what would their shots gained putting stats look like?

Edit: what would it look like if they made every putt? What would it look like if they missed 1 of the 72 first putts over the tournament from 1 foot or less, but made the other 71+1.

I think the heart of my question is: in isolation, does shots gained approach hurt shots gained putting?

    Golf Channel Leaderboard

This is the leaderboard I’m using. Let’s see how up to date it will be.

Hoshino “not real accurate off the tee” is ready to start things up on hole #1.

    I’m fired up.

Think of it like this: Let’s say your guy has an 8 foot putt. The field is exactly 50% on 8 foot putts for the week. So if he misses, he loses a half stroke gained. If he makes it, he gains a half stroke.

Good luck to you too! That’s what’s making me nervous too especially with Japan having a huge spike in COVID cases too. Hopefully most of the golfers took the time to vaccinate themselves and stay the hell away from one another.

  • mitchsnyderdfw

It will be interesting to see how many people stacked the first six guys off just for that screenshot.

Vegas 34%. He and Mito are the really, really big chalk for the tournament.

So being 1 miss* of 73 from under 1 foot, with no other putts, would likely equal negative shots gained putting because the rest of the field would (presumably) be >99% from inside a foot?

Looks like all the sub 7k guys are way underowned compared to where they should be. I have some Mito and Vegas but 30+%????

    Nope.

If you could bet any five players against the field would you?

    (gold/winner only)
