Team golf as shown here wouldn’t be fair with some countries getting 4 players and others only 2. If the US always gets to use the best 2 out of 4 they would be really hard to beat every 4 years. That being said it would be fun to let every country send 4 guys so the overall field is 100 or so with individual and team medals on the line.

    Meaningless.

Olympic bobsledding has countries that get to send 1, 2, or 3 teams based on qualifying.

Im not really into any mixed event when interactions do not have a synergy effect. I prefer mixed badminton over a mixed relay (or any relay). I just saw the mixed relay and was not a fan. That is just my preference and not a right or wrong thing.

I do like the idea of a best ball or alternating shots Zurich type mixed event.

    I prefer mixed badminton

One of my favorite outdoor summer activities is team badminton at a cookout/cocktail party. Always good for a little competitive exercise and a lot of laughs.

The guys in the Olympics just ruin the game. I mean who really drills the shuttlecock to an opponent at 200mph and it gets returned on cue? The eye/hand coordination of those guys is not from this planet.

In high school I was 3rd in provincials (small school and small achievement). I did not play again until in my 30’s and I could barely even make contact at first. I could not believe how hard it was and I was a baseball player at that time.

I took one of MrBreezes h2h. I was just going to plug the same weekend line up in it, but salary cap would not allow.
I wonder why it would not be the same salaries for weekend as for showdown?
Casey is $200 less than Mcllroy in Weekend but is $400 more in Showdown. I know its based on Vegas odds I am still surprised.
    Casey T7
    Weekend $9200
    Showdown $9600

    McIlroy T7
    Weekend $9400
    Showdown $9200

    Noren T3
    Weekend $7500
    Showdown $7500

forget the mixed part, Ive been thinking matchplay with a draw for groups(needed to give countries a shot and make some of the studs to play against each other in early rounds)

For the weekend, Hovland is the most expensive golfer. He was $9900 for the event and now $10700 for the weekend despite sitting well outside the top 3. A head fake ? An algorithm based on ownership? or a telltale sign that he is the man to play? When in doubt, I usually defer to the oddsmakers. There’s a reason they don’t lose money.

I’m convinced JT isn’t playing the same course as everyone else.

    JT reportedly has the twisties.

Nice -4 round for Morikawa with 5 birdies and an eagle. He’s still got a chance for a medal with a real low round Sunday.
