    Yes I agree 1000%.

LMAO, JIMK agree’s with K Barnhill 1000% but leaves off the last line

SWK and Sungjae projected among the highest owned too”

Which we now know that JIMK does not ever look at ownership, or projected ownership in making any decisions regarding golfers on his LU’s.

“Happy to pivot off them to other players in similar price ranges.”

but Jim does agree 1000%….. really Jim on an ownership basis Kbarnhill is happy to fade.

If soft greens and iron play are king here, how on Earth can you fade Morikawa, even after his Open victory? Even at 75% concentration he could still medal here, and the dude is simply on fire.

    That is my dilemma now.

I agree with lfn1992, that this appears like a Morakawa course and conditions. If Sungjae is playing well, Him too. That means I would need to fill in the rest with lower salaries and cant use any other PGA studs.
I cant decide- I really want to go with a single entry type of LU with a couple derivatives to make a stab at 20 LU MME. clock is ticking and contests filling.

you are touchy LMAO, why not assume a personal grievance and change my words. I sure as hell didnt change yours. I know you say you dont care about my opinion, but you sure care when someone disagree’s with you. That is our big difference, I like when someone disagrees with what I say or think, you have a hard time with it.

He did not pick or fade either of them because of ownership. He did not pick them because he did not think they would get within the 6th top point earners. If he thought he would get within the 6th top point earners he would picked them both every time no matter what the ownership was.

I snapped at you because it is the same simple concept that you have dogged me on over 6 f*cking times. It is not complicated.

2 more than 4th and 2 less than 2nd. I think a higher premium on a medal is warranted – oh well

3rd place finish, streaks and birdies? Sign me up. Furthermore possibility exists he finished 3rd yet still is top point earner.

Ah…is Morikawa traditionally necessary when he is the “most” expensive golfer or when he is like in the 9k range? I am seeing him at 23.4 percent ownership off a major win. Seems like the time to zig

Well I am fading because the reasons people are playing them are more emotional or narrative driven rather than metric or data driven. I don’t see any compelling stats that would lead me to play either of them on a bombers course plus putting contest.

Even better that they are high owned.

I think ownership might matter slightly more in an event like this that is a no cut event and everyone has a 6/6 but ALSO over four rounds the cream rises to the top, especially in a field that is top heavy like this one is. SLIGHTLY more. I don’t really ever think about ownership other than making over/underweight decisions on the highest owned players.

I think Detry could be solid pick this week, at a considerable discount to guys like Leishman or Fleetwood.

You want to fade a highly-motivated top OWGR golfer that is 26th in birdie or better percentage? Your call.

  • kdsdawg

Carl Yuan has played in 31 events and has 445 birdies. How much harder will this course be set up compared to what he is used to on the KFT?
In contrast, IM is #1 on the tour for birdies- 28 events for 413 birdies.

It’s ok. Ownership is THE MOST MISUNDERSTOOD DFS information.

I respect your position on it. If you look at my high dollar single entry lineups you’ll see I virtually never factor it in to my build.

The 90% rule (i.e. max combined ownership of 90% across the whole lineup) is a horribly -EV way to make lineups. More money for us I guess…

It has been a fueled culture on here for years. When I was a mod for this forum I did not feel it was appropriate for me to dispel it (that and duplication). But a lot of people used it misguidedly for years here and lost a lot of money and I feel we lost a lot of members here because of it. So many where choosing lower statistical players vs higher statistical players (which closely follows ownership %‘s and worse changing it again to avoid duplication) thinking it was giving them a better chance at getting first.

Anybody that is forced to take a PCR test in order to play/travel internationally, will certainly be on the “over” side. It can just be sitting right there in your nose.

To be fair, wouldn’t ownership strategies be quite different between high dollar single entry (or any single entry, or also cash) and a 150-max GPP contest, no matter who the DFS player is?
