So golf apparently is not shut down in Arizona, and there is this thing called the Outlaw Tour.

It has a leaderboard and everything:

    https://outlawtour.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/outlawtour19/event/outlawtour196/contest/1/leaderboard.htm

So there are DFG contests. It is currently Round 2 Showdown.

I think this is the definition of a degen event, but of course I will put a few sheckles on it.

    What’s the weather in Scottsdale?

You can also look at the season stats. Looks like there have been 9 events, although this is the first for a lot of them, and for some reason a lot of guys in the stats aren’t playing this week. At any rate, I did find a few names that are playing who are in the stats:

    https://outlawtour.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/outlawtour19/stat/seasonstats/topfinish.htm

A lot of Canadians play on this tour as they make their golf/winter homes in Phoenix area but most have returned home as advised by our govt for the stay at home period and now cannot re-enter the US until the border opens up. A few guys have chosen to stay down through this period.

You also have a lot of 1 or 2 event guys who bounce across different tours to play so that is why so many are listed on the money/stat list but so few are actually playing this week.

Never hurts to throw an Asian in there somewhere.

Well that actually felt good to make a deposit and pick players again finally!

Actually had enough crowns to play but I’m only about 500 away from a Milly Tik which is what I was saving them for so I’m playing $18 cash and $1.60 in tickets with one LU in seven contests trying for cash and Milly tiks

This is round 2 of a three round tournament and DK has nothing for tomorrow yet; maybe they are waiting to see how today goes.

The bluegolf site has the full leaderboard but don’t know how often or even if they update it during the round but I’m off work today so I’ll check it off and on between John Prine U-Tube videos

  • Theelegantelk

Anyone here have an idea if we’ll even be able to see scores live on the Outlaw website (or any other source)? DK clearly saying no updates until after the golfer finishes their round.

  • Felixxberg

@eruthruff: I used the smartgolfbet page, but it’s odds from the start and not for every round. It still gives you an idea of who are the best players on the field!

@BrianVT: Thanks! That said, the main contest is so top heavy that it would be a dart throw even if I knew what I was doing!

I stole this from someone in the discord chat… but it’s absolutely hilarious that the total prize money for this tournament is $25,000 and the $10 dk gpp alone is $100,000. Whoever takes it down will win more than the actual winner

You can enter this tournament as an amateur for $300. Even if you don’t do well, $100 per round of greens fees to play at what is probably a nice course doesn’t sound so bad.

    Professional $775 $875
    Amateur $300 $300

Yea, just traveling there, even without the Coronavirus would be a tough choice to make, given the expense and the potential reward. But, I guess it’s more about just competing/grinding and trying to eventually take it somewhere.

I played in the Missouri State Handicap championship for three years back in the day and it was $75 for three rounds (one practice and two tournament) on the best courses including Highland Springs where the Korn Ferry tourney is play.

These were all private courses you couldn’t even pay to play.

    Best deal ever!

Please let me know if there is a way to follow the results of this tournament. I don’t see anything that is giving us live updates.

Riley is one of the guys I played with before – he’s pretty good; played a practice round with him once. He ended up winning that tournament and shot 65 in round 1 on an absolutely brutal windy/rainy day where the average score was about 75-77. I think the next best score was 70 or 71. Probably the worst conditions I’ve ever played in for 18 holes with no stoppage in a tournament. Wind was blowing 25+ mph and rain was sideways at times.

Does anyone live in the Phoenix area……….

There won’t be anything live – hoping we’ll get 9 holes scores and not have to wait for the full round but otherwise nothing remotely live.
