So golf apparently is not shut down in Arizona, and there is this thing called the Outlaw Tour.

It has a leaderboard and everything:

    https://outlawtour.bluegolf.com/bluegolf/outlawtour19/event/outlawtour196/contest/1/leaderboard.htm

So there are DFG contests. It is currently Round 2 Showdown.

I think this is the definition of a degen event, but of course I will put a few sheckles on it.

    What’s the weather in Scottsdale?

I’m thinking there has to be a feed somewhere….Betfair AU has live betting on the event, and there is some (a small amount) liquidity. So either people posting these bets are insane, or there is a view into what is happening on the course available somewhere.

Riley is one of the guys I played with before – he’s pretty good; played a practice round with him once. He ended up winning that tournament and shot 65 in round 1 on an absolutely brutal windy/rainy day where the average score was about 75-77. I think the next best score was 70 or 71. Probably the worst conditions I’ve ever played in for 18 holes with no stoppage in a tournament. Wind was blowing 25+ mph and rain was sideways at times.

Cool! FWIW I picked him because he’s the top money winner on the Outlaw Tour and seems to know the courses, so figured he was better than a regular dart throw

Not being able to shriek “My slate is wrecked!” right after the first player of the day tees off kind of kills the buzz.

We know blue golf best for the monday Q’s and they do update those during the day but maybe not for the Outlaw Tour

The leaderboard shows total/thru/today so it is set up to update just nothing yet

Hopefully they realize DK is watching and will get something for us down the road (like how about asap?)

I honestly wonder if these guys and the tournament know how many people care about this thing now. They should even make money on if. I know I would pay .99c or something if they had a pay site with updated scoring. Maybe they could make a few hundred dollars

  • titanhawks

I just wrote a contact us note to bluegolf noting our excitement and desire to follow the Outlaw Tour

I had to put in a required website so I entered draftkings.com lol

It’s not about that it’s about limiting contact right now and they would either need a volunteer waking scorer and/or someone to enter scores off their scorecards every couple of holes.

Not going to happen on a tour with a shoestring budget and not going to happen during the current stay at home situation.

This is basically like playing Sim sports DFS but there is an actual golfer behind this.

    Scoring starting to roll in

Bluegolf actually has nothing to do with the scoring other than they provide the app/tech to host. Tournament organizers pay a fee and basically gain write access to their tournament and enter scores as they get them.

The tournaments I‘ve played in that used it have updated scores differently and all at the discretion of the organizer and likely based on availability of volunteers.

In some local events, our scores didn’t get entered until after we signed our cards and all 18 holes got put it after the round at once. In some others, there was a person at the 9th and 18th greens that we read out the scorecard we were marking to and they called it in to someone who had the computer to enter scores. In national events, they usually had someone doing the same thing every 3-4 holes so scores updated more regularly. These are tournaments with 120-156 players so I wouldn’t expect a 48 player tourney to do much especially with a pandemic going on.

With that said, they did do 9 hole scores yesterday.

Edit – hope nobody had Smith at +9 thru 9

Looks like we’re getting updates after 9 holes!

Whoever picked Ryan Smith can start tilting. +9 thru 9

  • Theelegantelk

Guy I’m playing a h2h vs has Colton Yates, even par is def good for me, but he got the 3 birdie streak.

  • Felixxberg

This one is a little longer to update, but you can see the hole by hole scoring when you click on someone’s name: https://www.flashscore.com/golf/others-men/orange-tree-classic/.

My man Yates is at E through 9, but he has a birdie streak in there!

Also, Rauscher would be close to the lead if he didn’t massacre the last Par 5 yesterday!

I have Yates too. He can shoot a 20 for all I care if he gets 7 birdies. Showdown scoring is all about those birds and streaks

  • Felixxberg

Well, it seems their official site has it too, so nevermind!

  • BIF

I have lots of Lilliboe at -2
    4 birds and a double

Also a fair bit of Healey with 4 birds and 3 bogs

  • Theelegantelk

Ollie Roberts was in my original h2h lineup…luckily not in my final one.

  • lfn1992

Dylan Healey 4 birdies on 9 holes, I’ll take it!

Love the aggression of playing H2Hs on this; I was going to thinking I had an edge as I actually know of some of these guys but ended up just throwing a couple more GPP lineups in.

Unfortunately I’m just a degenerate looking for something to do while working from home….Did a few hours of research, but I have little idea what I’m actually doing.

  • lfn1992

Originally I was trying to look at weather advantage, but then I realized it teed off at 11 AM local time! Instead I decided they are clustered too close.

Oh Giusti was in my original dart throws, but I subbed him out

  • Steverino01

Come on Yates, how do you double the 8th hole?

  • BIF

Ryan Banwart shoots -4 bogey free on the front and was 300 to 1 before the tourney – third highest odds on tourney so guessing he was low owned today

  • lfn1992

Andrew Yun -3 working on a BOFR! Yes please
