You do realize that 1:40 pm is before the 4 pm slate locks right? There is no question that he had inside info before those other slates locked.

Forget the 350k. That in itself is a major issue.

Oh come on! EVERYONE could see the ownership rates on FD itself for guys in 4 PM games once 1 PM lineups lock.

These conspiracies get worse and worse by the day.

DK paid for the investigation regardless of the result. I doubt that the former US Attorney would risk his reputation covering up for Draft Kings, especially when the FBI and NY AG are running investigations concurrently. If the report was fabricated or left items out that implicated Ethan, one would think that it would be obvious and would come out with the other investigations.

Not true. If the did something wrong they would have thrown him overboard in a New York minute

Can we stop with the witch hunt? There are things that need to be cleaned up in DFS but the continual stream of negativity is not helping the industry, but rather hurting it. If you like playing DFS then keep quiet and let it play out. If you want to be a part of destroying it (because you feel/felt cheated) then keep talking because we all know lots of important people are reading this thread and every other thread related to this issue. I want a balanced playing field, I don’t like scripting, I don’t like the entry limit on dk but if we keep saying it over and over again we are going to squash an industry we love. Don’t put rg moderators in tough spots either. They want you to voice your opinion but they have the interest of the industry in mind. So if they delete post it probably isn’t in the interest of everyone. And I’m a very low stakes player but don’t want to not play this ever again. I dealt with Black Friday.

Stop whining, his LU was pretty average. It’s not like he played guys that were %5 owned. This is a witch hunt. If you do the research you would see, his usage for his roster was on par with almost every other LU. You are attacking him for winning. This is dumb. I know Ethan, sort of. He’s a good guy. I don’t even know how this info would help him. Honestly, would any of you cryers have played his entry? If so, why didn’t you? If the industry can’t support itself, then there is no industry. You guys just need to build better LUs. Stop worry about everyone else. Stop falsely attacking people that have promoted this game. Stop drawling negative attention on the sport. Otherwise, you will destroy it. Maybe, that’s what you want. I wish you all go away so we could go back to the community that we had. You are venom in chats. You don’t appreciate the help you are given. You are all users. Sue me. Sue RG. Sue FD. sue DK. Pathetic.

We all read the same info. You should know who everyone else is playing if you are not a complete idiot. Ethan is not an idiot. I’m telling you he didn’t need any info to realize who he should fade and if you think he did, that just shows how bad of a player you are and how little you know about football.

Whatever you think buddy. However, I’ve been playing this game since the FFFC was only 25k for first. I’ve seen it grow. I’ve seen it blossom. I’ve met so many amazing people and im not going to let it get destroy over something stupid. You don’t get it. You see the commercials and think f’ it. it is a business. On some level, this is my family. I don’t know what you would do to protect your family, but I’m not letting this die without a fight. I remember playing solos on daily joust. You have no idea. How dare you try destroy this? Any of you?

Good for Ethan, but unfortunately the damage has been done in the eyes of the general public and DFS has suffered.

Also interesting that Ethan still works for dk instead of crushing gpps full time.

It’s impossible to enlighten them with facts because they will always value their ever-so righteous viewpoint as 100% correct, no matter what the truth is. A ton of people are already sick of this crap being shoved down their throats as you can imagine. Basically, you can thank DK and FD for spamming Murica’ with their annoying advertising blitz and the intelligence of their customer base for the events that are unfolding. How can you say, “how dare you try destroy this?” when you should be blaming the sites for their incompetence? Stop blaming people who are sick of FD/DK’s inability to provide a FAIR playing field. Notice, I didn’t say level? There are a number of reasons I didn’t say level, but one is because there are very good players and not very good players. There will never be a LEVEL playing field. Blame the sites, media outlets, and those who had a part in this, NOT the customer who forked over his/her money to play a game they deemed was FAIR.

  • deactivated70850

In the end, the media is disgusting, but that doesn’t negate the fact that there are problems with these sites.

  • slashtc

I love all the complaints about tin foil hats. If there weren’t so many questionable things going on, the tin foil people wouldn’t have any ammunition for their theories. Maybe where there’s smoke there isn’t always fire, but when there’s enough smoke that it looks like a volcano is erupting, there’s probably a fire somewhere. They may not know exactly where, but to dismiss people that question things is either foolish or someone interested in protecting their own interests.

We already have a guy who plays your role on this site/thread. We probably don’t need another.

What you fail to realize (maybe because you didn’t read the whole thread) is that the majority of people here still debating the matter are NOT questioning Ethan. It is possible to believe that Ethan did nothing wrong and still the think DK made major mistakes that need to be addressed.

This high-brow attack is getting old. The vocal supporters for transparency and change are not the reason DFS is under attack. The sites brought this on themselves through their greed, their unwavering approach to cater to the 1% over 99% of their user base and their failure to listen (care) when the warning signs were posted. And before you reply that its just a “losers” opinion, it’s not. It’s a position that is held by many successful DFS minds in this industry. You don’t agree with it…that’s fine. But calling everyone whiners is likely not an accurate approach nor is it fair.

Whether you want to believe it or not we are ALL in this together, but some of us aren’t willing to stick our head in the sand and hope this all blows over. It is up to us to support the industry. I agree with you there. But I contend you can do so while still being critical of the choices they made with the purpose that they make the changes necessary to protect DFS long term.

Recent news that Preet Bharara is investigating DFS should bring chills down everyones back. It’s nice to know that Ethan didn’t cheat but his carelessness with sensitive material is what’s caused all this. I understand everyone makes mistakes and nobody is perfect, but it is what it is. If Preet finds anything illegitimate to his liking (DFS), this industry is pretty much done. I really hope and pray Ethan becomes the “Jesus” of DFS where regulation is in place because of this incident… if not, I’d hate to be the scapegoat who singlehandedly destroyed the game we all love. Godspeed to us all.

I find it sad and more than a little disheartening that there is so much venom in these posts. All sides have wrong and right, misunderstanding and insight but it all gets lost in the shrillness by all sides. Try to step back a moment and reflect before you hit send. RG will be a better place for it.

Not sure I understand where you disagree with what I wrote, but it does appear that there is no room in your one-sided viewpoint to see the validity in another side of thinking on the subject.

If you do this as a living (or depend on it in any way as a revenue source) then I can appreciate your fear of what is going on. In a sense, many peoples’ livelihoods are on the line. But your anger is directed at the wrong people.

-The people on this board that you disagree with (and enjoy talking down to IMO) DID NOT cause this problem.

-The people on this board are not the media to which I wholeheartedly agree sensationalized many of these stories and added fuel to an already growing fire.

    - The people on this board you disagree with are not all losing DFS players looking for an axe to grind!!

    - The people on this board you disagree with did not force DK/FD to systematically ignore the fact that their TOS was being violated which gave all these lawyers and States the firepower they needed to stick their nose in everything.

    - The people on this board did not tell the industry leaders that it was OK to allow their staff to play DFS or have access to sensitive contest data (regardless of intent) that opened up the doors to world scrutiny.

The sites caused this issue NOT the people on this board. If you had the ability to rationalize a viewpoint that wasn’t completely parallel with your individual self interest then you maybe…just maybe….could see the other side of this emotional topic.

Ditto bro. I just said everything you said in two words. It’s a game. they were not playing on their site. How’s it any different then Stephanie Bell playing knowing the advance injury report? When does being in the know cross the line? Am in the know now? Should I be worried?
