Whaley going home early if this play keeps up.

  • lfn1992

Feels like the cut might settle at +1? Especially if it plays harder in the PM than AM

“Luke List set the course record!”

Agreed. The back 9 seems to be very problematic.

I am happy most of my golfers started on the back 9 this morning, get it out of the way for a surge on the front to end

FWIW this does seem like a specialty course…sand flying up out of clean strikes from the fairway…I can definitely see how some would like it more than others

Yah crazy how when a guy hits a shot from fairway, all you see is a white/yellow sandy spot left behind – the sand must really blow around out of the waste areas. It must be like playing out of a shallow sandy divot making it tougher to spin on the longer shots.

I used to be a member at a course with huge waste areas and after 25 years of being open, they had the golf course re-surveyed and in some spots the fairways were 2.5” higher (and most 1”-1.5”) than the original measurement from the wind blowing sand out of the waste areas and some settling of the land.

is it possible that Roach scurries to a MC from day one leader???

With Wes Roach, anything is possible.

  • RudyPujols

Koepka with his 4th (intentional?) 3-putt.

Stupid question: I assume US Open will be 4 rounds at South Course and nothing on North Course, correct?

  • lfn1992

GREAT… HV III forgot how to play golf

  • mitchsnyderdfw

Cut is getting closer to +1. Just need Brooks to care about his last eight holes….

  • lfn1992

The course is playing hard just across the board… can we be looking at +2?

  • zioncres

Only 20+ people right now are shooting under par so far so it’s possible that it’ll move to +2 assuming today’s trending the same as yesterday and afternoon will play a bit harder.

This would mean Sunjae has a shot today, I’m good w that

    Correct – South only

Anyone know the 6/6 rate in the Scandanavian Mixed event? I’m about to sneak a weak 6/6 through if Bjork can go E over his last two holes

10-14 has been a bear, for sure, but 15-18 are four of the easiest holes today. 6-9 are relatively difficult. I’d rather have my guys finishing on 15-18 than 6-9.

    Unlikely

Cut has only moved 6 spots this morning so far and it would need to drop another 24-25 spots to bring the +2’s in

  • manoffewwords

At present with EVEN CUT 1% 6/6 4% 5/6. When it goes to +1 or +2 will obviously be much higher.

Give me an even par cut then if Knox shoots even par. I’d get one 6 and a decent bit of 5s

One thing for sure about this forum is there is nobody better in the world when it comes to picking mixed EURO golfing events – we are subject matter experts, good job everyone

  • lfn1992

So my new strategy is pray for Luke List and Camillo Villegas to birdie 18, then pray extremely hard for a +2 cut

In the dont worry be happy files of DFS golf. We find that Smylie Kauffman was not all together horrendous. It appears Smylie practiced at the mini putt putt but still needs work at the range.

I just want to see him make a paycheck. The guy needs to bring his own six of Natty Light to the next Spieth Yacht cruise.
