Completely bizarre pricing on both events this week. Robert Garrigus 8K , Chris Kirk 7.8K… hmm.

Euro event they dropped guys like Ramsey 2-3K from the last event (which is understandable given the stronger field) but players in the 6-7K range didn’t drop at all (so there’s no reason to go below 7K when you can get guys like Ramsey, Dredge, Shinkwin, Hebert, McCoy in the low 7s).

Garrigus has crazy good course history here. Kirk is cheaper im guessing because he has not been in good form.

Pay up for Reed, Chappel, Woodland. Just off the top of the head i like it though. Especially for cash games. Chances are most of the top guys make the cut.

No thanks on all 3 for me right now. Subject to change.

Edit. Woodland I will probably be playing a bit.

Spending the weekend at Mystic Lake Resort for my cousins daughters graduation party. Heard their course is real nice and playing it Sunday.

I played there the year it opened (2005 I think) – it was a 2+ year total gut/remodel of a course that was there before. It’s a pretty good layout, you will like it, only thing I didn’t like was the proximity to the casino on a few holes where you see buildings/hotel – I prefer courses where you feel a little more “away from it all”.

I’ve also played the other 2 courses very close – Stonebrooke and The Wilds. Stonebrooke is a little more basic from what I remember but had a neat hole where play across a lake and you got on a ferry to get to where your drive ended up. The Wilds is a Tom Lehman designed course that I liked a fair bit – it had a few memorable holes and was reasonably challenging.

    Enjoy !

Yeah im not gonna jump off the Woodland bangwagon just because 1 bad event. He has been playing crazy good. He gave himself a chance ot make the cut last week. Dude just could not sink a 10 footer to save his life. Chances are he makes those putts. Variance at its finest.

Furyk’s ownership is going to be sky high based on course history, how he played last week, name recognition. wouldnt be surprised if hes 30+% in the 400k

  • Brian6035

    Brendan. Steele.

  • Dewoc19

I was just gonna say, am I crazy to pay that price for Furyk? Rickie just doesn’t have it right now and that fat fuck Reed burned me last week and cost me a bunch of potential money, short of Furyk I don’t care for anybody at the top

Love this stuff ty for sharing.

    “BirdiesPerRound: 0.363
BirdieRate: -0.326 (why these aren’t the same, or even closer, I am not sure – they aren’t the exact same stat, but I would still expect a closer corr to each other”

Perhaps the birdie rate is lower because the same few players had most of the birdies. Thus making the Birdie rate lower which still allows for a larger variance of Birdies per round to be higher or lower.

How do I find your 50/50 contest??

Ill probably be 35-40% Furyk. He owns congressional, playing well. Prior to his injury he was priced similarly to this from week to week.

When it is in there, you can go to the lobby of the golf section and in the search box put in his last name and that usually gets it for you – just pay attention to whether it is euro or pga if applicable that week.

Burned me too. He was one I thought would make the cut. But he was only +4 each day and only missed the cut by 2. When you look at the big picture, he didn’t really perform all that bad; he’s just not Oakmont material.

I read that Congressional plays most like Murifield. Don’t look at the 2015 numbers; different course.

Gonna try the $300 3 wood for the first time. I made a lineup I really like, left $1700 on the table. Might be donating but I feel like this could be one of those weeks that one of the lesser known guys jumps up and grabs a win. Idk, we’ll see.

$1700? Damn. Good luck I’ll be pulling for you.

Looking damn near impossible to use all my salary this week, unless I force myself to take a more expensive guy for no reason.

Really like Patrick Reed this week. Just a gut pick, no real reason behind it.
