    Team RG

We’re continuing to give away trips to Nashville for the 5th Annual RotoGrinders Kickoff Bash with DraftKings. Up next? Our 3rd ever Freeroll Bonanza!

Tomorrow (Tuesday, 8/16), we’ll be hosting three $1,000 freerolls: one on FantasyDraft, one on Rosters, and one on FantasyAces.

Not only will the top finishers in each freeroll win cash prizes, but we’ll also aggregate the results across all three contests. Whoever has the lowest (best) average finish across all three freerolls will be crowned as the Freeroll Bonanza winner. (If you don’t play in a freeroll, you’ll automatically be given a last place finish that will count towards your aggregate average.)

And the grand prize? The Freeroll Bonanza Champion will win a free trip to the RotoGrinders Kickoff Bash in Nashville, including airfare, hotel and access to all parties!

We’ll update this thread with the freeroll links once the contests are created. In the meantime, we wanted to give everyone ample heads-up, since this promo spans three different DFS sites.

    How to play

    1. Enter our $1,000 FantasyDraft freeroll.

    2. Enter our $1,000 FantasyAces freeroll.

    3. Enter our $1,000 Rosters freeroll (Note: Our freeroll is featured at the top of the general Rosters contest lobby)

    4. Submit your screen names in this Google Form to qualify for the aggregate grand prize of the trip to RotoGrinders Kickoff Bash in Nashville!

Make sure you click through our links if you’re signing up for any of these sites. Not only will you receive the best sign-up bonuses possible, but you’ll also get a FREE one-year subscription to that site’s Incentives premium content. (Yes, we’ll soon be offering Rosters Incentives as well as our existing offerings for FantasyDraft and FantasyAces.)

Create your accounts now and stay tuned for additional details about our biggest Freeroll Bonanza yet!

    Good luck!

Fine Print 1: In the unlikely event of a tie in the Freeroll Bowl standings, we’ll have a tiebreaker contest on DraftKings.
Fine Print 2: Rosters excludes more states than FantasyDraft and FantasyAces. If you’re in one of those states check out this post from Cal below: https://cl.ly/2H2Q191v2O3Z

Nevermind I understand what they mean by a low finish now. Still poor wording but Im making my best lineups

  • Kleppy12

Yeah, this is no dig against RG because they don’t need to do any of this so thanks for the effort but Rosters is a joke. It says you can’t play if you are from a state that explicitly bans DFS but then if you try to enter a contest it says you cannot perform this action in your state, which is incorrect because I’m in MN, so I’m guessing it has to be a state with an actual law making it legal.

dark_Golem on fantasydraft and fantasyaces. Doing it mobile so hoping 2 out of 3 will work with no rosters.

  • dark_golem

Sorry: dark_golem on all three now. Also thanks for the edit note. Was doing it from my phone and couldn’t quite find that option.

You don’t have to post your names on this site you just have to fill the Google form out. Just so you know.

  • Lafan310

Iv never even heard of rosters…these new sites don’t have a big enough player pool for my taste. Fantasy Draft is the smallest I will go. You take down a tourney on those sites and only win like 50 bucks haha and that is after taking down mostly grinders on those type of sites. Maybe this gets their sites larger number fields…

    Hey guys,

Apologies to members in Florida, Illinois, and the other states that Rosters excludes that the other two include. Rosters is very conservative in terms of Regulations. Their CEO, Gabe Hunterton, comes from a brick and mortar casino background and is accustomed to operating in a regulated environment. While this is a good thing overall it means that quite a few of you aren’t eligible for the grand prize trip to Nashville.

Here’s what we’ll do: The person with the highest aggregate finish on FantasyDraft and FantasyAces that did not play in the Rosters freeroll will get one of our last few remaining invites to the RG party. You’ll have to use your own cash (or freeroll winnings) to cover hotel and transportation, but you’ll get into the two parties for free if you make it to Nashville. There’s a higher likelihood of a tie for this prize since we will only be averaging two results. Ties will be settled in a playoff contest on DK.

    Enjoy!

    Hey guys,

My name is David Williams. I am on the Rosters team and wanted to address some of your concerns as well as establish myself here as someone you can come to if you have any other issues (although for technical stuff I’d recommend reaching out to our customer service department support@rosters.com).

The $1000 Freeroll today is something we wanted to do to welcome RotoGrinders members to our site and give away some free money for checking us out. We apologize to those in states not eligible to play on Rosters. We felt it would be better to still offer it to those that are eligible, than to hold off and not do it at all. We take a much more conservative approach than other DFS sites and are quite strict when it comes to following the legal opinions of each state’s Attorney General and our lawyers. We wish we were able to serve everyone in all states and are making efforts to do so. Our application to operate in NY has been submitted and as soon as we are given the green light, you’ll be able to play. A list of states we do not currently offer service in is listed here, https://rosters.com/terms. If you are having issues in a state not listed, let us know. We will continue to monitor and update our list as each state releases more information about their opinion on the legality of DFS and their requirements to offer it.

We are aware that our website is not a pleasant experience for those on a mobile phone. Our website should be 100% mobile responsive before NFL week 1. In the meantime, we do have what I think is the best DFS iOS app out there, and our Android version should also be released by NFL week 1.

There was a comment about wanting to see the lobby with the contests before signing up. This is a good point and has been noted and submitted to our team to discuss and prioritize the possible change to this on our landing page. Thank you for the suggestion, we are listening.

Again, I apologize to those of you not eligible to play on Rosters and the inconvenience it is causing you in this cool contest. It is great to see that Cal has addressed this and come up with a solution. This type of prompt customer service is one of the reasons we are excited to align with the RotoGrinders team. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you or any other suggestions and I’ll do my best to address them. Good Luck!

I believe there are legal issues with us offering our product in states where it is not allowed since we do offer paid contests too. I do not think any states have made it clear that we can offer freerolls, yet exclude their residents from the paid contests. It might be too close to toeing the line and one mistake could end up with us breaking the law. It’s better to be safe and not risk doing anything illegal so that when the state hopefully does allow it, we are not guilty of being a “bad actor”.
