Hi guys, some of you may know me and some do not. I am the founder and developer of fantasycruncher.com.
As it turns out papagates and chipotleaddict are both users of fantasycruncher, and used FC to create the lineups that have since caused the controversy and accusations of collusion due to their success. We were not aware they were users until last night, when Cory Albertson of Rayofhope contacted me and asked if I had heard about them and if they were users. When I searched for Crowley in our customers, I found they were both customers and had individual accounts.
At this point, I thought wow, maybe we have some valuable info that will make it clear if colluding occurred. I think I, like many others, assumed the worst. However I am really happy to report I found evidence of the contrary.
We keep a simple log in our database anytime someone logs in, which includes their account and IP address. Both of these guys login from different locations at different times. In our database I can see they uploaded separate sets of projections.
At this point I contacted Martin(papagates) and Tom(chipotleaddict) and let them know I could be able to help them with any data if necessary. After talking to them, I was able to see the same evidence they produced for draftkings including screenshots of what they produced using FC. I am able to match that with our server logs and their entire story points overwhelmingly towards they were not colluding.
- They each have their own account on Fantasycruncher
- They logged in from different locations at different times
- They used different projections to produce their lineups
- They downloaded seperate 150 lineup files
