I was talking to my brother this morning and we came across an interesting topic.

How good would the pros be if they had to hand build lineups and were not able to use an optimizer or projections from one of the main sites such as Daily Roto, Fantasy Labs, RG or FC. Just wanted to start a topic to get everyone’s thoughts.

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY !!!!

That is the problem many people don’t understand is that collusion isn’t against any rules. You can work together with a friend and build an optimal cash lineup that you both play everyday from now until eternity and its perfectly fine. The only time collusion is against the rules is if two users are specifically working together to circumvent max entry rules so if two people worked together to create 300 unique lineups and split them up 150 by each entered into the same contest your not supposed to be allowed to do that.

Saying you could easily make multiple accounts and claim they are separate isn’t as easy you think it would be. If you actually win on one of those accounts your going to have to provide social security numbers for tax reporting purposes so you would have to have someone willing to step in and give them your social security number or else you could easily run into problems as you win with different accounts.

Well they can just claim it’s the brother who will have different tax forms.

But no to answer stv and his question like I said in my original post it’s most likely two people working together every day. It wouldn’t make sense for him to do this on fantasy draft where there’s no benefit to a new account. There are benefits to two different accounts on other sites though.

If your brother is willing to hand over his social security number and be liable for the taxes then that would work. Once you win anything of significance on DK they force you to assign a social security number to the account. Draftkings is horrible with taxes in that they seem to ask for extensions every year so they delay being able to file your taxes to the last minute which won’t make whoever’s social security number your borrowing every happy once you win and you tell them they can’t file their taxes until that Draftkings 1099 arrives in March.

Well I’m not advocating anyone do this obviously but I assume it does happen.

Of course in the example you would tell your brother beforehand not like last second only after you won. If you like split profits with your brother I’m sure he’ll be incentivized to do it if he knows you are a winning player.

Many ways to do this doesn’t have to be brother. An easier way is if you have a son or daughter who’s also your dependent. Then it’s the same overall form anyways so if it’s late it’ll be late for you and your dependent on the same form.

Just saying it’s easy to circumvent this. I don’t recommend it but I’m sure some top pros do this.

You can always file your taxes….you dont have to wait for the 1099.

Not sure if I’m considered a pro but I hand build every lineup, don’t use an optimizer, don’t do projections. Everyone with $80/month to burn had pretty much access to all the public projections in the industry…

For those that use the Blitz. Do you run the straight opto, or do you incorporate the core and cash plays from LineupHQ?

No they just straight take the optimal. Good luck! I’m glad we got another one on board.

According to lots in this thread you roll out of bed at 11:44, hit optimal, enter your lineups and count the money at 6pm. I’d run it at least 20 times with different combos to see what you like the best to gets its best work. For example when I first hit Build I was at a projection of about 225… tinkering here and there and I’m up to 239 with a LU I think I’ll use in some GPPs. Good luck!
