      2016 DraftKings FBWC Finalist

    • 2016 DraftKings FGWC Finalist

I don’t really have the time to go thru all their LU’s but I noticed something pretty interesting last night when looking at the winning LU from the MLB $300K FULL COUNT on DK. The tournament was won by user FallFromGrace who is one of the top ranked players in the industry. 21st place was taken by another top ranked DFS player named ThatStunna. So looking at the two LU’s in question you can clearly see that a 2 vs. 2 swap of players was done here. Should I believe that these two LU’s (1st and 21st) were built by these individuals without consulting each other? Maybe, even probably, but then I stumbled upon a website made by the players in question that says they’re working on a DFS project together. In fact another top ranked player named Awesemo is the third of this group. I’ve just looked at the same tournament from the 2 nights ago and again you 2 (FFG & TS) seem to CONSISTANTLY have eerily similar LU’s with a lot of 2 vs. 2 player swaps going on. Awesemo, FallFromGrace or ThatStunna if you could comment on this I’m sure some people care…I am not trying to accuse you guys of doing anything wrong I just think this pattern is disturbing at least and would appreciate if any/all of you can comment? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, you’re wasting your time caring about this and presenting evidence.

See: ChipotleAddict/PapaGates saga which has been going on seemingly forever.

I’m not getting excited about a thread until Crain chimes in with his thoughts. :)

We collaborate but sharing projections is the extent of our collaboration. Right now that is allowed by the rules, but seems to be something that the community isn’t fully comfortable with.

Late swap is making it easier to skirt rules..guys have all same lineups then agree to late swap a player on each team if they are heading to cash

So now that collaborative effort is entered into 450 lineups of a GPP with a 150 lineup max.

So I’d imagine that if someone was willing to go through the tournaments for say this current year MLB that you 3 guys should have a descent amount of overlapping LU’s correct? I’m going on the assumption that you guys use the same projections therefore most optimizers would spit out at least a few duplicates, right? I’m going to see if I can have someone comb thru a few weeks of data just to put this to bed. As you know there is plenty of gray area stuff that goes on throughout the industry and upon first glance it just caught my attention. I’ll get back to you in due time to reveal what the data says…
