My guess would be if they have the ability to restart the contests, they will.

Any pending withdrawl using erroneously paid out funds will be cancelled.

Any funds put into use will be allowed to play out (Lucky you)

Give out tickets to a special free roll as an act of good will for the screw up to anyone in a PGA contest.

I think this would be the best course of action for FD as a company and the players involved.

    Take the money and run?

Can you even get the cash out ?

WD’s are not processed instantly and I’m sure are subject to some kind of review and management control processes. I’m sure you could have played some late slate action but otherwise there is no time to take or spend

Why was there 6 players in the Euro that were DQ’d?

They must played after the horn thinking it was only a non-dangerous situation stoppage and tried to finish their hole or they went to practice (range or putting green) before given the all clear so those are DQ’s

Not confirmed (just me thinking out loud)but can’t see any other reason for that many all at once

Another crop of d’qs just hit in euro. Pretty sure it was all the guys that just quit. But so far i have two of them and it pisses me off. This happens everytime a euro event gets delayed.

  • Kjwhalen77

14 players either DQ’d or “Retired” in the Euro.

  • Statoyan

Payout was just removed. Yet to see the contest live.

  • JimKronlund

There were 2 that did WD, but then there are 6 that were DQ’d. Not sure if any of those were the quitters. I would think the quitters went under WD. Not sure though.

FD has taken back funds and restored contest.
Some will be mad but I feel it was the only thing they could do.

  • JimKronlund

I doubt I will be this far ahead on FD at the end of the tournament. But I am used to getting nothing. So I’m good.

Anyone who is mad is just looking for a free handout. End result is the same as if no glitch happened.

Yes I agree. Disappointed is ok if you were winning thousands, but in the end we were made whole.

Weekend golf – not playing much but am going with a couple flyers in Brett Drewitt, Shelton and Malnati – they are playing some of their best golf of the season and some have been decent Weekend punts of late.

  • BIF

Looks like we are in for a bit of wind Saturday – sounds like 15mph with 25mph gusts all day

These punts are interesting, would rather take a shot on a guy like Malnati over a guy like HV3?

SOOOOOOOOOOOO???????? How many ppl used their winnings elsewhere, FD? and if so, what?

They will take the money back and put the contests live again as they should. And maybe give a cheap ticket out for a future contest.

Maybe I’m wrong but id be totally shocked if they did anything more than that.

This is what they should do and people should be fine with that. If someone is not fine with that and does not understand it was obviously a mistake then there’s something wrong with that person

Maybe my eyes are doing tricks on me but I swear the $2,775 FGWC Q weekend game was 0/4 in the final seconds, like last 1 second and I thought at lock, but as soon as everything changed to ‘FILLED’ it was 4/4.

There is about 10K tweets where they are tagged and hash tagged so it might be the crazy shit storm going on in social media and I’m sure personal phones were ringing from friends/associates of the owners

Maybe I should have been a little more clear. It would be sad if it took a direct tweet from Jim for them to realize they should put something up. The minute that they know there is an issue, there needs to be some sort of communication.

Plus, I really don’t like that there was no follow up statement anywhere from them about restoring the contests. It’s 100% the right thing to do. However, at least put a message out there explaining what happened and that the money “won” is no longer in your account. Seems like common courtesy to me.

I would give them a little time for the follow up message, it may not happen, but working in the IT field, I get it.

After hours IT emergency pops up. All hands on deck to get it resolved, work as long as you have to. So, we get it resolved over night, things look great, go home get some sleep, keep cell phone alerts on high. Regroup in the morning with management and decide how to proceed.

There may be no more communication on this, but I guarantee a number of their staff is working on why it happened so it doesn’t again. Since money was paid out incorrectly, I would say it would be wise to send out some sort of email recognizing their mistake, but, who knows

Will FD run a free contest or give tickets for those affected? Seems unfair since it’s their mistake. Otherwise boycott FD.

    Who were “affected?”

Seriously, when you enter a four day contest all that FD needs to deliver on is prize payment at the conclusion of the tournament.

  • timusbr

LOL, This FD thing is funny and people trying to say they were effected by it and want something is even funnier.

80% or more of the people who played golf on FD, will not even know something happened.

How was anyone affected if the contest was finalized>> paid out>>monies paid out reclaimed>>contest reverted back to live. WHAT affected anyone?? if you were awake and noticed, the only thing you could have done is used that money to enter another contest. Any requests for a payout couldnt possibly be completed or even started on FD end. So the only person affected is the poor sap who thought he could get away with something to his advantage. Anyone who claims FD should make it right by giving away free stuff is another poor sap.

If FD does make an effort to say sorry we F’d up, join us for a free contest on us – you all will be lucky
