Anyone know where to find statistics that are not YTD. I.e. Driving distance past 4 rounds, past month, etc. PGA.com only has YTD.

Fantasy golf insider has a rolling stats tool and I believe this is the main function of fantasy national.

Wont find it free anywhere though

Joaquin Niemann is fourth alternate this week. Don’t be surprised if pricing comes out late tomorrow waiting longer than usual on WD especially if they get to 2-3 giving Niemann a better chance to play. If it was me I would be doing this because if he does get in and pricing comes out before he is part of field, one they will be receiving large amount of questions about him and two he has a realistic chance to really screw things up if he isn’t in the field and finishes T5.

Also the opposite field event in Kentucky got rained out (or suspended) and the last 3 groups never even teed off so with no playoff they won’t be finished until Noon ET but since there are about a dozen guys within 2 shots, a playoff is likely.

I’m pretty sure anyone in Top 10 in Kentucky not already in Canadian Open would get into it so the field may be far from finalized. Those new additions would also kick a few guys out further pushing Niemann back so I doubt he’d get in. Also (I may be wrong) but I wouldn’t expect too many WD’s given how many Canadians there are plus a bunch of “fringe” guys in the field are fighting for precious FedEx points and a bunch of guys on sponsor obligations are on the plane back from Open.

Do I keep playing Norman Xiong and watch him miss another cut or do I get off him and watch him T-10

This field is much more stacked than last years. Wasn’t Charley Hoffman over 10k last year? I hope pricing comes out early today, very interested to see where players land.

Is this a rarity to have this loaded of a field the week after a major? It usually feels like a web.com event after a major.

T10 shouldn’t come into effect this week. The majority of the players who are still playing hovering around T10 are already in this weeks field or are players like Gay, Werenski, Romero, and Mahan who had no interest in playing this week because they would have easily made the field. Only two players not currently in field with T10 that could effect the rule, Josh Teater and John Vanderlaan and both look unlikely to make T10.

Minus Fleetwood and Garcia the bigger names players who are playing this week have all competed here before at least once, some multiple…it just happens that all the stars aligned this year for the tourney. Also keep in mind Fleetwood and Garcia could be using this as the tourney they have not played before.

When Billy Ho wins later today I am sure he will think twice about playing at the RBC. That should get Niemann in to the field.

Garcia’s form is just horrific right now. It’s pretty much like he doesn’t really give two shits about anything. The guy walks around with this massive ‘major winner’ stick up his ass while his golf game is far below average. And Fleetwood, sure he is a guy you just can’t count out, but he had a legit chance to win the Open and massively under performed. If I’m in his shoes, that would be on my mind all week.

This is such BS, they were already playing in record time compared to the normal PGA Tour stop.

    @jude_ut4

Going to put this out there before all of takes start flowing in about fading the top guys this week “because they won’t care coming off the travel”.

There have been 27 guys priced $8300 and up in the last 2 Canadian Opens. Only 3 have missed the cut. 2 of which didn’t play Open

  • Jeddy3

Since the greens are so small here, would it smart to bump up GIR and downgrade putting even more than usual? Doesn’t seem like this is a putting contest on the surface to me.

They were over a hole behind and yes they were playing quick by PGA Tour standards but were probably behind the R&A’s “time-par” set for the day.

Besides the time spent looking for Spieth’s ball in the gorse bush on 6, he took a ton of time to actually drop and hit his next shot so I’m sure that is where they lost the normal spacing between groups and fell back. Spieth 3-putting that hole for double and Xander also bogeying it didn’t help them as well.

Well, looks like Merritt is going to win. Be interesting to see what these guys decide for the RBC

Plus that baby crying on 17 when Xander was trying to hit. He had to address the ball three times before actually hitting it.

I dont think so, think his run is over…. Maybe on the next major, if he plays a little better leading up to it, he feels like a Payne Stewart…
