This looks like a fun field… I certainly picked a good week for the “forum volunteer”! I’m so afraid of the “studs” right now. The one I might think about going with is JT though. Still looks to look over.

And thanks whodat for getting this up! Obviously going to have to play some Canadians too.

My in-laws live right down the street from this course. Was planning to go and just walk over but some work obligations popped up unfortunately. Never been to a PGA event before, but will likely go to the one in Detroit later this month!

Just a heads up for the early keeners – The Google Sheet for 2019 is not up yet and the link above only goes up to 2018 so the course form, recent history and player listing is all for last year.

This course in recent memory has only hosted in 2012, 2006 and 2003 so not much course history for you Course Horse handicappers.

Hey guys it’s good to be back. I switched jobs, got engaged and bought a house but now things have settled down. Each week I look at historical performance against only the players in this week’s field. Here’s the analysis:

RBC this week Eh?, you betcha I’m scouring for some Skookum golfers, looking forward to the kerfuffle here on the forum, hoping not to get dinged this week and will gladly be paid off in Loonies & Toonies.

Will be out all afternoon. If you want to sign into the Happy Meal you need to make the contest. If you want to wait, I should be able to this evening.

I feel like he might have said something about Nesbitt before? If not I got him written down for the first go around of my player pool.

I feel like Nesbitt is a bit of a reach – he did win on the LatinAmerican Tour this year and is 7/10 cuts made but that win was his only Top 10.

He did make the cut in The Honda this year on PGA Tour going 71-71 but also MDF’d in it after a Saturday 77.

Also had 20 seconds of fame for shooting 59 in Brazil Open. Still just 24 and having trouble finding places to play enough events to get a big sample.

His 59 in Brazil last year was comical – he had 4 (yes 4 eagles) in the round with the last one being a hole in one. His 59 was in the second round and it followed a first round 79 so he went 79-59 to make the cut.

US Open Sectional Qualifier, EURO division:

IN: Dean Burmester, Sam Horsfield, Marcus Fraser, Matthieu Pavon, Lee Slattery, Marcus Kinhult, Rhys Enoch, Adria Arnaus, Justin Walters, Daniel Hillier (AM), Thomas Pieters

2 still on the course but currently in: Clement Sordet, Merrick Bremner

Tiebreak for final spot and 2 alternates: Renato Paratore, Nacho Elvira, Andrea Pavan, Romain Wattel, Bernd Wiesberger

Some real interesting EURO names headed to Pebble Beach, but probably the biggest name on the list here is Pieters.

Fair enough, but I also see at least 3 guys who might make my initial player pool. Pieters is not one of them.

Looks like two guys I grew up playing with have a real good shot of making it this year. Couple other I played junior am and micro mini tours with need a great second days to have a shot.

Meanwhile as I sit at my desk the feelings of failure, sadness and general emptiness intensify.
