I now have 25 guys spread out among 10 LUs. Granted, 11 of the guys are only in 1 LU. Still, am I dumb? Should I try to consolidate those 11 guys down to ~5 or 6. I guess more risk, more reward?

I made a copy here PGA GOLFER INFO that we could update if Drew isn’t around anymore. If anyone has time for some updates, I can grant access to the new sheet. If Drew is still around, we can continue his work. Otherwise, we can do nothing an appreciate it for what it is. Ha-ha…

Fixed it so anyone with link should be able to view.

EDIT: I’ll try to continue building it when I have time.

I tried doing that last week and it failed miserably thanks to Webb and Rahm.

    I have 30 across 20 LU’s, hopefully all 30 I picked make the cut.

Simply put, the more guys in your pool the more you’re hedging. Less guys in your pool probably more risk with more reward.

I play 10 lineups all the same and another 10 all the same..if I can get one of those lineups to 10.00

Im only 10 hours behind this post so forgive if anyone commented the same.

I get your thinking. Its a common practice even with Pro’s. I just want to say that Your 10 LU’s at a quarter and 10 at a dollar are going to pay less than say. 1 at a higher value. $12 Albatross, $5 SE

my reasoning for MME is to catch that 1 off LU to put me into winning contention. I Love breaking even, I try to look at the year and hope/believe I can cash more than well twice. So breaking even is the same as winning 20% on the week.

This isnt the Belmont Stakes. The Belmont Stakes is the final test of the best 3 year olds having to go 1 1/2 miles. THIS IS NOT IT. Kentucky downs is just a farm pasture :) but I like to play it as well. Fingers and Ft Erie are for Monday and Tuesdays and I like a ton of the regular early evening thoroghbred tracks Mountaineer, Penn, Lone Star, Delta… The smaller tracks are the best places to play stupid gimmicks. Wheel all to win with long odds behind.

That’s a ton of golfers. I have 21 across 50 lineups and I feel like even that is too many.

I currently have a pool of 22 golfers I’m planning on spreading across 75 LUs, and I’m wondering if that’s too many.

Can you explain what type of contest this is?

    $88 entry fee. 6 man contest. Top 2 win $200 each. 3rd place gets a step 4 ticket ($88 value). 4th, 5th, and 6th places get nothing.

noddy, any thoughts on DK sportsbook? I have a $5 bet and 2 $20’s in my wallet.

I like Scott Piercy top 10 at +1400 for my $5, especially because I have zero of him in DFS.

I’m back NC so I can’t bet on DK. Have to figure something else out when I get home late tonight. I like that bet though.

Yeah, you guys seem to agree that I am a moron. I will try to consolidate my lineups a bit but at this point it will just be minor tinkering. Next week I’ll work harder to have a smaller group of golfers.

Because they overreacted over the milly not filling by a small percentage… they still made plenty of money… they changed the price structure and made it smaller and it really sucks.. I mean extremely terrible.
Have built my 100 and this morning and after a terrible night in LOL and KBO and with the SOC showdown filling 5 hours before lock… I started looking for othe rcontests but there is really nothing else. I reserved 20 in the $3 20-max just before it filled…. guess will throw it in the milly anyway but $50k to 2nd is criminal

In all of my years on DK this is by FAR the worst milly structure I remember ever seeing. 44% to 1st! That is so insane. The usual terrible structure is like 30-35%. I think I am staying away for the first time, have to draw the line somewhere. As a GPP strictly guy I always play them but this is to absurd. I am with you on KBO at least I tinkered my way out of cashing across all the contests on my one line at like 5:15 AM like an idiot. I tried LOL. not a fan and can’t do SOC. Not sure if you have been dabbling with MMA and Nascar but I have and I must say it is fun. I may even keep up with these 3 sports even when the big ones start back.

Nah man. It’s all learning in here. I figured out the smaller player pool is the way to go through trial and error. If you look at STLcards builds, he plays no more than 20% of the field across 150 entries.

  • hautalak

Man all this talk of # of golfers for lineups is interesting. I’ve always been against the grain and am with Tim in saying I’m looking to “hit” or break even with MME. But we go about it in different ways. My pool is usually 30+ for 20-40 lineups and I know that’s too big but that’s how I like it. Like sleazy said it’s a hedge. First or last with as many “good” lineups you can come up with.

That’s the beauty of DFS golf. No one person has the same strategy thought process. All hail PGA DFS! Best to make lineups for!

  • jss1218

Got it down to 20 guys across 10 LUs. That’s the best I’m gonna do this week. The 5 guys I eliminated from my lineups were Hatton, Hideki, W. Clark, Hadwin, List. So if anyone was smart they would make a lineup that includes those 5 guys. Come to think of it, maybe I’ll do that.

  • Felixxberg

In last week’s milly, someone had 150 lineups with a 16 player pool. Another person had 150 lineups with a 127 player pool.

When I play 150 I’m between 35-45 total players. A lot of those players are 3% or less exposure for dumpster diving. Most of my core is between 25-30% owned. I’m mostly focused on having the players in my pool over the field.
