I don’t think stars and scrubs will work. Hard to pass over all of that $8-9k range after I lock in Webb/Cantlay.

you just plug in Wesley to get back up to an 8k guy ;-)

Cantlay’s last 4 stroke play rounds have resulted in 74-75 (Players and a Pete Dye course) and 79-73 (Masters) . Sandwiched in between was the Dell Matchplay where he got smoked by Hideki 4 and 2 in a must win round 3 game. He worries me.

So, we’re talking low ownership on Cantlay? Good points on, though – Cantlay is always hard to stomach (and so is Webb in a lot of cases), but at least this isn’t a TPC/Masters-type field.

not trying to be a nudge but…my feeling before I go thru my process, is dont go with my preconceptions. all the studs have had tough tests the last few weeks. the weeks played in a row, or letdown after a major are real. Distance and testosterone isnt the key. It levels the playing field significantly IMHO. Making salary a bit of a disadvantage. I get it tho, Webb Simpson, Hard to pass up. Is DJ 1 1/2 (11600) times a better golfer than Kuchar(8000) on a course where their driving distance should be similiar on most holes?

My Question, Draw a line at Ancer (top13), everyone above him is stud (past or recent). how many will make the cut? finish T20….(last week all the top salaries were expected, I think this week they are not for other than stat reasons).

I’m going to have to get my spreadsheet in order before I can pretend to answer competently.

I do see Branden Grace had a nice run here from 2015 to 2017. Then he turned into a pumpkin the last 2 years. He’s been putting up some nice results lately. Maybe he’s back?

Can we play Zalatoris this week? Is he really going to keep this great play going?

Of course. In fact, you’d be a fool not to.

Love this time of year in the golf schedule – we just had The Masters, now 5 weeks of regular events then the PGA Championship then just 3 weeks of events before the US Open and after that just 3 weeks of events and the long awaited Open Championship (as there wasn’t a 2020 version).

For those chasing Milly tickets through satellites, there isn’t a ton of events between majors so now is the best time to start stockpiling.

But I need your tips and tricks on how to accumulate said tickets 😎

Most of those guys are not Hilton Head locals but live a little further away in Sea Island (many are know as the Sea Island Mafia players from where the RSM is played) or St Simons area but still from the general area.

I might need to tweak the weights in model. Charley Hoffman and Lucas Glover are rating out as the #1 and #2 plays and it’s not particularly close.

That said, Spieth and Mats were #1 and #2 for me last week and that worked out pretty well.

I went to last year’s spreadsheet and added the results for everyone from 8,000 to the top salary (21 players). As good a guess as I can come up with: 4 MCs, 9 top 20s. What a difference a year makes, eh? Kooch was 8,300, now 8,000. DJ was 8,500, now 11,600.

    Rory McIlroy 11,300 T41
    Justin Thomas 10,900 T8
    Bryson Dechambeau 10,700 T8
    Jon Rahm 10,500 T33
    Xander Schauffele 10,200 T64
    Collin Morikawa 10,000 T64
    Sung-Jae Im 9,700 MC
    Hideki Matsuyama 9,500 MC
    Justin Rose 9,200 T14
    Webb Simpson 9,000 1
    Daniel Berger 8,900 T3
    Patrick Reed 8,800 MC
    Jordan Spieth 8,700 T68
    Brooks Koepka 8,600 7
    Dustin Johnson 8,500 T17
    Gary Woodland 8,400 T62
    Matt Kuchar 8,300 T41
    Tony Finau 8,200 T33
    Rickie Fowler 8,100 MC
    Abraham Ancer 8,000 2
    Tyrrell Hatton 8,000 T3

As far as I can see he has yet to rattle off 2 top 10 finishes in a row..maybe this is the time but I won’t have any at 9700.00 on DK…I had my shot at the Masters when I had him to win it at +6000 he gave me a great run…I won’t have much of a piece of anyone that played all four rounds at Augusta (other than Webb because he took a few weeks off prior to the Masters and should be primed for a nice effort) and I definitely won’t be playing that BUM Sunjgae..

HV3 should be a fit for this course, but has sucked here. So strange

  • mitchsnyderdfw

Was looking at Dylan Fritelli for a bounce back this week after the high finish last year, but I think most of that was due to him shooting 62 on Sunday, otherwise he finishes middle of the pack.

FWIW, I have him as a relatively good course fit, and it helps that he has two decent rounds here. I’ll be playing him.

Charley is in my default lineup. I have J.T. Poston instead of Glover, but I’ll probably end up playing both.

    Dustin Johnson 8,500 T17

That doesn’t make sense to me – DJ was ranked 5th in the world going into the postponed to June 2020 RBC Heritage – how was DJ only $8500 and priced below Spieth who had not won in almost 3 years ? And below Hideki who also had not won since 2017.

EDIT – found the old pricing – yup he was a steal at $8500 – so weird to see him that cheap !
