My guys are starting out pretty well. All except for Hoffman of course. He sucks.

Played all Thur AM guys. Doing well except I really worry about Charlie Hoffman and his back.
My 1st time playing him since he withdrew mid-tournament a couple months ago because of it.

People were piling in on Chalkzzire because… um… why, exactly? CH? Based on the stats I was looking at he wasn’t on my radar at all.

I liberally played 5 names under 7k, too

  • lfn1992

KJ Choi is about to birdie the Par 5, and all my AM golfers will be under par so far – promising

  • XxHeisenbergxX

How can Berger be this bad at golf …oh wait cause I played him.

Fun Fact – Patton’s real first name is Maxie

Yup, it’s Maxie Patton Kizzire 😂

Reasons to play him, I would say Price/Salary, lives not too far away in Sea Island, decent recent form, Bermuda greens and 4 of his 5 (PGA/KFT) wins have come on Bermuda as well.

  • lfn1992

Loving my Troy Merritt ownership at 0.53% – he’s been playing some great golf pre-Masters

I didnt play Kizzire but he graded out well for me and was 4th in his last 24 rounds proximity 175-200 which is a key stat.

This course is basically who can hit the green from the fairway with a 7 iron and then get a hot putter.

I wouldnt have played him had i known that.

Si Woo finally made a par.

    Apparently he can’t hit a green with a 9i or PW on a 160yd par 3 – double splash and counting !!

Berger’s tee shot on 14: 160 yards to 4 feet. I guess that’s a dart (IF he makes it).

Maxiepad is looking at a triple best case atm.

edit: gets off with a double? something with ST is off.

FWIW I was obsessed with the oft-underutilized stat of GIR, with fairway accuracy a nice bonus. To me, it’s a lot easier for a so-so putter to suddenly get hot here than a sprayer to become great at hitting these small greens. I also downplayed bombers like DJ because it’s not a grip-and-rip course.

But I found also that I was looking at ancillary stuff to make my final cuts. For example, Westwood and Lowry not having their normal caddies put them out. Will Z had no experience here and is coming down from the Masters. Etc.

We have Matt FitzPARtrick out there today!!!

Si Woo is just awful. I am officially writing him off. Why did I take so much of him?!?!?!? I am an idiot.

the worst putter on tour again. it appears.

Glover making over 100 feet of putts already – it’s sure nice to be on the right side of variance for once

At this course though, hitting the fairway does not guarantee an easy approach – with so many mild and severe doglegs, simply hitting the fairway can often lead to being blocked out or having an obstructed view. This course more than most Pete Dye’s will require you to hit a specific side of the fairway and with minimal rough, being 10-15 feet off the fairway (but on the appropriate side) gives a much better approach angle into the green.

Great ball striker and approach game – Small greens so figured his 3-whacks would be way down this week as it’s almost impossible to be more than 50 feet away

    N. Taylor missing the 5 footer isn’t what I’m looking for! Took him in SD and in his group for today. If Cook could slow down that would be great!!!

  • BIF

It must be a Thursday on the PGA Tour as I see Varner on the top 10 of the leaderboard

  • noddy

Maybe Si Woo should start putting with his 3 wood

  • lfn1992

KJ Choi’s birdie once again puts all my AM golfers under par
