Over/Under on how many times we see that commercial this week since its the title sponsor?

  • skankinmat

I know a few folks here played some Brian Harman last week and were pretty happy with the results. I didn’t follow how he was doing, was he striking it well or just getting it done with his putter like he has in the past? Anybody going back to him this week?

18th in SG approach, 16th T2G overall on week. 17th in putting, and 7th around the green. Gained in all areas but off the tee where he lost half a shot.

I was the biggest Brian Harman fanboy last week, but one of the reasons I was was that he had an excellent CH at TPC River Highlands. The Google Doc from last week is closed but he hadn’t finished any worse than T30, I think, and didn’t miss a cut. He was also a former winner there.

He also made 3 cuts in his last 3 events (he didn’t play in the US Open).

Overall his approach game does seem to have clicked, but how much of that was playing at a course with he likes/is comfortable with, I do not know. Personally I’m not sure yet if I will ride the train in Detroit.

I had some interest in Gooch initially when I was looking at the field on Sunday but since he wasnt in the pool I didnt dig deep into him. May have to revisit that now with the limited amount of 6k guys I feel comfortable rostering.

Gooch is the most interesting of those, he’s been killer with this irons this year but he’s like the extreme boom or bust guy. He either misses the cut or finishes top 20

  • byo34

    Gooch 6,800.. I’m on that.

    KH Lee is too cheap

  • marker0357

i wanted Doc but he’s priced $400 too much for me

    Couple things:

    1. This seems like an Ollie week for Jam (you still around or just play BIF?); Also are you attending?

    2. I “picked” some guys I really like here before salaries and lineup came in right at 49.9K so watch out as all LFN’s quarter money is mine this week!

    3. Sucher seems cheap at 7.2K along with Wolff at 7.5K, also List at 7.7K (one of my guys), and Kang 7.6K. Not seeing many in the 6Ks worth using besides maybe Bae and Champ.

    Helllloooooo

I was there today and will be there Sunday.
The course was in great shape but T2G looks easy as all hell. Undulating greens looked to be the only defense. Some rough around the greens, but off the tee these guys will be letting it fly. Winner will be beyond -20

Cheap Whacks is up. Not loving the pool of players I had to pick from for the Rocket Mortgage -》https://rotogrinders.com/blog-posts/cheap-whacks-rocket-mortgage-classic-andalucia-masters-3060138

Im landing on An in a ton of my builds. Is there going to be a ton of chalk there?

An is always heavy chalk because his ball striking numbers are great and that’s what most people use for their models. Then he putts terribly like you know he will and you hope he holds on for that cut and cruises to a 45th place finish

“Oh, it’s great,” Svensson said. “It’s an old-school golf course. It kind of reminds me of Vancouver pretty much.

“Yeah, the greens are slopey. You’ve got to put the ball in the right position. You definitely can’t go long on your second shots. You’ve got to below the hole. Yeah, and you’ve got to hit it straight off the tee. It’s a ball-striker golf course pretty much.”

Ben Silverman, another player from Canada, said he course was in great shape.

“I love it right now, initial thoughts,” he said. “It’s great. The greens are rolling super-fast and pure. The fairways are pure. Rough is thick. Some narrow fairways, even though some a couple shorter par 4s, so if you miss in the rough you might have a tricky time holding the green.”

It’s a bit early for bold predictions, but the general feeling among some players is that if the expected rain keeps the greens soft, that could add up to prime scoring conditions. Stuard was asked if 20-under on the par-72 layout was possible.

“Pretty much, I think,” he said. “That’s what I’m expecting.”

  • BIF

    @Dunzor said...

Hey BIF, I know you gave some of your thoughts on the younger guys last week, but do you have any more details on Wolff’s game that you’ve seen? I know he didn’t have a great time last week but he had a bunch of balls end up in the water and seemed to really have trouble around the greens. This week we don’t have nearly as many penalty spots so he should be able to avoid those, but do you think this course suits him any better (at least we’ve got 4 par 5s now so he can go for those with his length)?

Still going over stuff but I was leaning to Hovland for his driving accuracy over Wolff on a tree lined course with 3.5” rough

Kokrak misses one cut and everyone jumps off the train or is it a bad course fit?

It’s really the manner in which he missed the cut. He had the worst yips we’ve seen in a long time and I think people are afraid that may not disappear in a week

Ya that’s where I landed as well, just don’t know enough about Wolff to figure out where he’ll succeed.
