I’m looking at it like this is the week Bryson can fully unload his new power game. We’ve seen glimpses, but he’s had to reign it in a lot with the courses they’ve played the last 3 weeks.

I would think this will energize him.

Longer course yes and 4 par 5’s but still reasonably tight tree lined fairways so he’ll still have to be reasonably accurate with the Kraken

This is a tough week. It seems like a great time to play the “top dogs” but going on the way too small sample size of last year, everyone can compete here. I’m thinking I’ll load up on the 6.5-9K range (just more mid range than top) for this week. I’m gonna go ahead and jump off the Bryson train. Not completely though but maybe 2-3 lines out of 30+.

I’m back in MI and wish I could go!

I am going back to Brian Harman. Confident he will make his 2 footers this week.

This course does not suit HarmAn’s game imo.

  • mr_papageorgio

I read something that said the rough is a little longer than last year so we probably want at least a little accuracy from our Kraken pool this week.

Really? I had in my head he was like 24 and wore CBD sponsor badges…haha oops

I’d have to re look at his total driving stats and or 5 scoring then but i thought I remembered him eagleling a few times last year en route to his big win.

    Good catch tho lol

This course isn’t really a bomber course, I think you’re mis remembering, because most of last year’s leaderboard was accurate shorter hitters who were good with their irons and wedges. Also this course isn’t that long for a par 72, it’s middle of the pack in that regard. Personally I’m targeting guys who can keep it in the fairway and can dial in their wedges, but any of the big names are always viable just given the field.

Also the one time they’ve played here, Off the tee was not very important for scoring differential but SG:P was crazy high in that regard so it basically was a putting contest so keep that in mind if you were planning to play any of the perpetually terrible putters.

What are the main stats we are targeting this week? Distance, approach?

Interesting, why do you say that? I remember last year it was a mixed bag of players in the top 20. Feel like anyone can really shine here.

Makes sense, I think I am somehow envisioning this as bomber heaven but to your point, last years leaderboard does not suggest that.

I’d hate to lean on a SG:P start for the week haha not my game

This is pretty much the last day to make adjustments to your DK rewards level for July…..

since i didnt play anything during the break I started out at the bottom level. I accumulated 1300 crowns so far this month. I need 2000 for the gold level and just cashed in a portion om my PGA accomplishments. So I know they will be credited this month and I wont have to check my daily missions for 2 crowns anymore. Gold Level baby…..woohoo

    SGP on Donald Ross courses.

What I’ve heard is that the greens are key for Donald Ross courses. There are certain below the hole target areas.

Id probably go mix model of SGP Donald Ross, SGP Poa and SGA

  • FredPupples

Stallings and Kizzire seem like good bargains for the way they played at the Travelers.
    Thoughts?

I know this leader board is going to be a hot mess this week…and I might be using a lot less salary in my lineups this week.

I would think we start with Grillo Pad and move our way up from there.

The 4 most surprisingly poor putters for this season are Casey, Garcia, Matsuyama, and Morikawa.

One of our local courses is an old Ross design. First time I played it I asked the pro for some simple advice. He says “Keep your approaches below the hole. Most greens slope front to back. Nothing but trouble on the back side of the green if you go long.”

Just checking last year, I see that Viktor Hovland and Billy Horschel shot 64s on Sunday.

Most impressive, young Jedis! (Billy H. is 33, but whatevs.)

Anyone here live in NC and are they safe re DFS? (safe as in now but also signs of change in the future)

SGP is mostly a rear view mirror stat; after any tourney, at least half of the top 15 had a very good putting week – this is more noticeable in birdie-fests which equate to putting contests.

I think the advice here is to avoid bad putters who are unlikely to make the necessary 20-25 birdie putts needed to make the Top 10

Just snuck over the 25K Diamond threshold; I didn’t think I played that much with only 3 tournies in June but I was getting 500-750 crowns a day for Missions so that accounted for half.

I have been in North Carolina for the past few weeks. DFS is allowed! If I wasn’t able, I would be right back in MA.
