I have them both at 60% so I hope Bryson can squeeze in. Didnt think I would been thinking I would need to say that Wednesday.

Same here, I hate playing Bryson I just couldn’t look past the -23 last year. Even leaving a bunch a salary on the table was difficult because guys like Mats can’t putt, Reed is ho hum, Zalatoris has been bad the few weeks, Day has a broken back, IM is erratic.

  • jeffgo33

Bryson bogeys 6. Even. He needs three straight birds or an eagle on 7.

  • BBWC_10

Bryson is DONE!!! Can’t blame it on his caddie, the guy had so many shots inside 100yds, can’t stick a pin or make a putt.

Doc Redman coming out looking just like yesterday. Grinding his way around this joint like it was Bethpage Black in high winds. No chance he makes this cut even if -3 holds.

Man why you gotta do me like that?

Or do I get on board? Don’t you have to go Back to the Future Doc?!!!

    So frustrated!!! My lineup is ….. 1st, 15th, 15th, 15th, 32nd and Bryson, 2 guys in 15th and 32 haven’t started yet.

    Things that are a certainty:

    • Death
    • Taxes
    • When I need the Irish Open to get to a -2 cut line to preserve Dean Burmester, it will never get there
    • When I need a -3 cut line to hold to preserve a tremendous, possible GPP-takedown LU with Stallings, it will go to -4
    • When I pick a heavy favorite who loves protein shakes and need him to make the cut to get paid big, he misses the cut in embarrassing fashion
    • When I need Laurie Canter to get one lousy birdie on the easiest hole on the course, he’ll bogey it and ruin my single LU

Reavie 3 jacks to finish -2

Thanks Chez for the help, but I still don’t think it will end at -3

  • lfn1992

I still don’t think this will stay at -3, but I will say that this course is closing out hard for a lot of these golfers today

Like in this last half hour we’ve seen 3 jacks and people just hanging on to be at -3 like Stallings. Bryson has an outside chance of getting there as well

    Webb too

  • jeffgo33

    Bryson still alive. Birdied 7.

  • cplatt87

Extremely excited for Bryson to hit the streak to get to -3 and then have the cut end up being -4.

  • lfn1992

Webb needs a birdie on the 9th hole to hope and pray -3 is the cut

There is some reason for optimism on -3. I mean, we’ve been at this for 5-6 hours and it has only moved 9 spots from 38th to 47th. Could it move another 19? Absolutely. But it very well could hold at -3. I don’t think is clear favorite between -3/-4 will emerge for several more hours, though. Data Golf is a little too confident in -3 (71%), I think.

  • RudyPujols

Kokrak drove the fringe on 8. And he shuns protein shakes for gravy by the straw.

  • lfn1992

My confidence in Bryson sticking this wedge out of the rough to 3 ft on this hole is at about zero

  • lfn1992

    Webb in the bunker. Done.

  • lfn1992

Bryson misses from 6 ft. Done.

Bryson the chalkiest guy to ever miss the cut?

  • lfn1992

I think I have enough Coatrack/Joker LUs to seriously benefit from this chalkacide today, but I’m not sure. I do know Sepp and Brice are going to singlehandedly kill several of them

  • lfn1992

Kinda need Tringale to play the weekend!

  • lfn1992

Also feeling a bit better about -3

  • RudyPujols

Data Golf had Tringale at 94% to make the cut before that bogey. He’s going to find a way to ruin my week.

34% in the DTG and the highest price to boot. Got to be one the chalkiest ever.

Webb and Straka at 9th and 7th highest owned also missing the cut. Doc is third highest owned and in danger.

6/6 percentage should be low this week.

    https://sports.yahoo.com/cobra-ben-schomin-became-bryson-100016894.html

Ben Schomin was enjoying dinner with friends Wednesday night in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a 2 ½-hour drive away from where he had worked earlier that day.

He had left Detroit Golf Club that afternoon, where he had serviced the needs of Cobra-Puma athletes ahead of the Rocket Mortgage Classic in his job as director of tour operations. He was looking forward to enjoying a trail run on his mountain bike and perhaps going camping with a friend on Thursday. The Michigan native loves spending time here during the summer and had his wife and kids with him. He had the next three days off – or so he thought.

That is until his phone rang at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday and Bryson DeChambeau made a call to the bullpen, asking him to caddie for him in a pinch. Not long before, DeChambeau’s caddie Tim Tucker quit his job working for the 2020 U.S. Open champion, and so Schomin, good company man that he is, got up at 5 a.m. and drove back to Detroit for DeChambeau’s first-round tee time of his title defense.
