So….won 1000 on Masters and 4300 on NFL this weekend, so was thinking of trying something new with PGA this week
For you SE guys, I am interested in playing the $200 SE, give me an idea of how you get down to just six golfers? I will have FOMO trying to do that.
Any other tips for SE would be appreciated.
I played it for the first time and faded the chalk, DJ.
DJ was 47% owned.
Two golfers in top 10, two top 20, the other -2 and Finau.
Didn’t win a penny.
Find the chalk and make a decision.
Another birdie fest.

Better field than I thought it would ne.
As someone who normally plays SE i generally just play the fade the chalk angle at lower stakes. At the US open for exanple I built around Bryson since nobody was on him and obviously that paid off. Last week though fading DJ meant no cash, so it goes both ways. Just have to hope you get it right.
At higher stakes though given the smaller field you’re best off treating it like a cash game. Just play it safe with 1-2 leverage plays.
Sungjae likely going to be mega chalk this week unless they price him way up
Edit – Based on odds he should be 2nd in pricing behind Webb, so I imagine he’ll be around 10.6? That’s my guess
Yea, we haven’t seen a field anything like this at Sea Island in my memory.
If I recall, the forum got blanked in the Happy Meal on 6/6 here last year thanks in large part to a Brian Gay chalk bomb.
Pretty sure he was neck and neck with Cam Smith for best putter at the Masters. Count me in for full fade of a 5-figure Sungjae (sounds like a martial arts move) coming off a hot putter, odds be damned. 100% Brian Harman week for me, hope he’s “overpriced” and low owned.
Think Webb and Hatton will be tops in Salary with Im and Fleetwood right behind them.
Yeah i’m fading him regardless of his price this week (Unless he’s like 8k but no way that happens). Pretty classic letdown spot IMO.
Anyone know what day they play the par 72 course? Seems like a subtlety that MKF is likely to miss initially for the single-day contests…
Your close Webb and IM 11200 and 11000 respectively. Followed by Fleetwood and Hatton.
Looks like they play on either day 1 or day 2. Meaning there could be some great value if they mess up the rapid fires, specifically.
Congrats on the wins!!
I typically start at the bottom of the pack when pricing comes out, just looking for a salary advantage, I rarely go below $7000 though by the time I’m done. Course fit is key and then I start looking at birdies/bogey avoidance and DK points from recent form. I’ll swap players in and out over the week as I hopefully find a way around salary constraints.
Then the tournament starts and golf happens….lol
haha 11K for Sungjae….i just can’t do it. the only reason to take him would be for leverage. can’t imagine him being high owned at that price
I miss the Masters.
Frickin’ Hatton. FRICKIN’ HATTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I always find the week after the major to be the toughest tourney’s to get up for. I don’t know why, and its probably just me, but oh well. At first glance a decent field for the week after a major. Would think guys like Fritelli and Kuch maybe popular plays.
P.S. I saw BIF was in one of the 13 dollar 101st nfl milly satelites that I was in. Always fun to see fellow forum members in the same smaller contests.
Yeah I’m gonna pass on 11k sungjae. Even Webb at 11.2 is tough.
Harman at 8.5 likely going to be popular.
Davis Thompson
Hammerin Hank and KSDT comfortably get you a top 50 finish here.
Webb is the course horse, followed by maybe David Hearn?
Im at 11,000 no way his elder counterpart KJ Choi I will take as a flyer.
OTOH, Hatton is well-rested. And I mean that in the meanest way possible.

Didn’t see you, did I win that one ?
I won 6 of those $101 NFL tickets yesterday; 4 on the Main Slate then got 2 more last night in Showdown.
They have a bunch of Satty’s on tonight’s Showdown for $7 entry with extra bonus tickets being given out – I maxed out those (5 entry max and just under 200 total entries).
Besides both of them having great weeks with the putter, my Monday After The Masters hot take (and where I blew it by being underweight Cam and fading Sungjae) is that both of them (especially Im) are two of the more aggressive “fly it at the pin” guys on Tour. Normally at The Masters, that is a bad strategy with firmer greens, the run off areas leaving very tough up’n’downs when over or wide of the green to many pin locations. However, the course never really dried out; softer fairways was a minor thing but the greens still had way too much moisture (which I didn’t account for all) and guys where sticking mid irons.
Had this course played more like last week at Houston, I think Sungjae would have struggled a bit and been 6-12 shots worse for sure and Cam would have been at least 3-5 worse as he would have had some longer/tougher up and downs.
Congrats to those who did well – had I paid full price for my 54 Milly tickets, I would have lost over $650. Still not happy with the golf week as I didn’t cash in my $200 SE despite having DJ (thanks for the 5/6 Kisner). Thankfully NFL main slate was good to me and I even made a little money in NFL Showdown for the 4th straight primetime game last night which has to be a personal best – last year I’d make money Sunday afternoon and give a bunch of it back on SNF-MNF.
